This podcast surprised me. The tantalizing title and blurb got me to invest 15minutes that turned into the entire show! I count this as time well spent. Other than HBO’s Real Sex or Pornacopia, I haven’t watched or listened to anything on this subject. I mean, I’m familiar with Eyes Wide Shut and there are some books that allude to secret societies and their sexual ceremonies like The DaVinci Code. This podcast goes into far more detail in an engaging fashion, but it’s also a story about a very interesting character (Dameon). He is vulnerable about his past and mistakes that makes things all the more entertaining. A++ I can’t praise the host enough! She’s incredible!

Such an interesting story. There are a million ways it could’ve been told poorly, but Karley does a terrific job handling it with sensitivity, fairness, and context. While also making it fun! I can’t remember the last time I was this compelled to binge a narrative podcast.

Overall the podcast is fine. The narrator is distracting—voice intonations, “jokes” that aren’t funny and slang that sounds dated and Valley-girl.

Good podcast, the narrator tries to talk like one of the guys, which is annoying, but she gets the story! Its like the narrator is trying to be a comedian, and there is no one to laugh. Worth the listen tho

Fascinating in so many ways. Not only the discussion of sexual proclivities and issues of consent and gender disparities, but also the sheer entrepreneurial aspect of the inspiration for and creation of the club. Well presented and easy to listen to. An excellent podcast.

I started listening to this podcast on a whim and I just finished it in about two days. It was super easy to listen to while I was just around my house and it’s also mind blowing to think someone was so successful with this type of venture. The interviews with all the real life people involved make it a really great story. Amazing journalism and the host is cheeky. Very lol. Give the first episode a go and I’m sure you’ll be hooked.

Really great story telling. Damon’s life and the creation of SNCTM is a wild ride, but this podcast also gives a captivating voice to the other people who were there and watched it all unfold. So sad it’s over, I want more!

Really, really good podcast!

Good podcast, interesting story with colorful characters, the commentary and attempts at humor were too polished/rehearsed for me but everyone else seems to like it. If you’re looking for a change of pace from the usual (e.g. sports, music, comedians, NPR, etc.) I’d recommend this podcast.

…but I never want to hear Damon’s voice again. His voice and his words scream narcissistic douche bag.

This podcast is excellent! I can’t wait until Thursday so I can listen to the next episode. Karley Sciortino has does an exceptional job as the host. Her narration is captivating, sometimes shocking, and also humorous at just the right moments. Karley’s interviews with the central characters are so honest and real, I ended up rooting for them in a way I didn’t expect to. 5 stars!!

A tantalizing look behind the scenes of the famous Sanctum “sex club” of the Teens. I remember hearing about but did know the full extent of the debauchery that went on. The host has an Ayesha Taylor vibe and has a background in the scene if you will. Interlaced with interviews from the main players that really make you feel like you are there. I’m surprised there hasn’t at least been a Netflix movie made about this starring Taron Edgerton. It’s fascinating how Sanctum was born out of Facebook. You must listen to how the first night was so special, it’s when they knew they had lightning in a bottle. It gave me chills. It’s possible this phenomenon wouldn’t have happened without the Eyes Wide Shut movie playing in all those freaks minds.

I love Karley and everything she puts out. She’s a great writer and storyteller. This story is fun and entertaining, and I appreciate how the interviewees are honest and open.

One of THE best podcasters I have listened to. She connects with the audience and turns the podcast into an inside joke with perfect deceivers of the fascinating and well researched story.

A refreshing break from true crime pods. Well done and so bingeable. I loved the clips I saw years ago on my feed from Slutever, I cannot believe it has taken so long for me to find my way back to Karley. I love how she tells stories and am so glad to have found this pod!

Omg this show is so good!!! Unbelievable story, and the host’s narration is simultaneously cheeky, sincere and informative! The blood oath ceremony made me CRACK UP. Like I actually laugh out loud a lot! I particularly love that they interviewed a lot of people so you can really hear about the club from all these different perspectives and experiences. And the nuanced discussion of sexual topics and taboos in between the story is so fascinating, and something our culture doesn’t address nearly enough! Fully recommend listening!

I came to the pod because I was curious about the topic of sex parties but I didn’t expect to feel so invested in the characters. Great storytelling… and funny!

This story keeps me on the edge of my seat. And Karley the host strikes the perfect balance of smarts and smirks as our guide. Cannot wait for the next episode. Perfect listen for any true crime lover or literally any person with a brain.
