I started listening to this podcast in the fall of 2024. After my summer fling had ended so horribly I was giving up. So date yourself instead pop up while searching for a podcast that could help deal with the problem. I have to say it has been life changing. I kinda feel dramatic saying that but it’s just that good. Your episodes are so relatable and I feel like I am truly listening to a friend. I love it! I just finished 10 ways to start 2025. That is the ticket to my New Year. I felt like your words were for me to hear. I really needed it. I can’t wait to keep listening and following along with you on your journey. I stumbled upon Date Yourself instead a few months ago when I finally got out of a year and a half off and on relationship and within a few weeks fired from my job. i’ve been listening to DYI since june of this year and i can confidently say that this podcast changed my mindset and outlook on life. i really enjoy the way lyss formats her episodes. she gives solid advice in a cutthroat manner. as with anything, take what you need and leave what you don’t. i don’t agree with 100% of the things she says - but it’s the things that i DO agree with that i take from the episode and implement into my life. having a powerful voice like lyss speak about life experiences and manifestations impacted my life in such a positive way. i feel much more powerful and confident since listening to DYI. this podcast has consistently been a pick-me-up for me and i leave each episode feeling better than before. give DYI a try!

There are some gems to be found in all the rambling, but for someone who says "date yourself instead" she sure does a lot of dating.

This podcast helped me get through a terrible break up, and it’s one of my favorites. It was so difficult to find a podcast that I could vibe with, but this one is healing my inner child. I’m so happy to say that I have learned to love myself, and found my confidence. I’ve never been happier.

I’ve been listening to the podcast on and off after leaving my last abusive relationship. As it is on the healing journey, especially recovering from lies, betrayal and cheating, it’s NOT linear and I found myself wanting to see my ex again (saw him earlier that day) because healing alone hurts. But then I listened to this episode aired on Oct 13, 2024 and it was God’s send. I can relate so much to her story and I’m very thankful that she publicly shared it so I know I’m not alone because your self-worth completely shattered after a relationship like that. But now I’m confident that I can become a stronger and better version of me and I deserve someone who loves me truly and kind and honest with me. Very inspiring

This will be my new daily podcast, she is very easy to listen to, almost as if your sitting and talking to a friend. She gives great advice for you and how to build your self better. She gives you a boost of confidence, she won’t judge she is very caring and real.

I’ve been in a depressive funk after I hooked up too soon with a guy and he started pulling away. It was making me feel like garbage. So the last 4 days in a row I’ve gone to the park after work & walked around for an hour + while listening to this pod. I have been listening for at least 18 months. I love her advice and her weekly episodes. She is very real. Got me thru the toughest period of my adult life and the worst breakup of my life.

i love the advice in this podcast and appreciate it, but often hear language like "if you're looking for a husband, or a wife if you're a man listening...", but I am a lesbian woman who will likely marry a woman and feel a bit left out here. she kind of exclusively focuses heterosexual couples as the only option. on another episode she also sounded quite judgy about someone who "looked like they have been in prison", implying that being in prison means someone is inherently bad or undeserving of love, which doesn't seem very open minded. i would love to hear more openness to other types of couples and people in general. otherwise an excellent and helpful podcast for overcoming heartbreak.

Lyss is absolutely so amazing and inspirational. I started listening to her every week and now I started listening to her previous podcast every morning and every single day!!! Listened to this a few days and morning of a trip to NYC for a solo trip. I normally don’t like traveling along, but this is in independent and healing era, so it was just what I needed. i feel like it’s just girl talk and you take the words out of my mouth.

I almost didn’t hit play because I thought you’d have a ditzy valley girl annoying voice and outlook. MY MISTAKE! I am not above admitting when I’m wrong. You are wise, admirable, hard working. Your message is spot on! After listening to you for the first time I broke up with the guy I was seeing for 6 months. He was nice but just ok. This podcast is very helpful and has real info about relationships, toxic relationships and some advice to deal with that. I also tried her master class and it has helped me so much. In a recent episode, you stated something along the lines of “I know so much because I am 31 and have had 3 LT relationships including one when I was 15”. Yes, your advice is great for teens and 20-something’s. Please understand that you still have SO much to learn. Us over 50 something’s who have been in multiple relationships that lasted over over 10-15 years and involved kids, etc…these type of LT relationships and heartbreak will give you a much different perspective and wisdom. That said, I still enjoy you and much of your content.

I have shared episodes to many of my friends. This podcast shifted my perspective at the exact right time for me. I will continue to share it with people who need to hear it as much as I did♥️
