I’m Lucy Meggeson, and I’m here to help you stop seeing singlehood as a consolation prize and start embracing it as the incredible opportunity that it is. Because the truth? Being single isn’t second best. It’s not a waiting room. And it sure as hell isn’t a life of lack. In fact, when you lean into it, it can be just as fulfilling—if not more so—than being coupled up with kids.

And besides, no matter what our relationship status, what we all really want is to feel good in the here and now. So instead of focusing on what’s ‘missing,’ let’s focus on what’s possible. The freedom. The adventure. The extra time and headspace to create a life that’s truly our own.

Because here’s the thing: you are so much more powerful than you realise. Your thoughts shape your reality. And when you shift your mindset, you shift your life. My mission isn’t just to help you feel better about being single—it’s to help you recognise your own agency. To help you see that you are the creator of your own experience. And that you, and you alone, get to decide what your life looks like.

Love the show but…..

Stumbled upon this podcast and listened to a few episodes. Love it, but I think the title limits it… as in I’m 65, divorced 15 years, two amazing children. Relocated to Europe at 50 to teach English. I’m strong, independent, love living alone, travel solo and don’t need a man to fulfil me. I’m not a spinster, but the issues you raise still apply to women like me. 😊

Spinsters Rule!

While not the target audience per se, being a gay male & single, I still very much relate to the themes of this podcast. I believe I found this via an article in the DM & then binged the episodes on a very long solo road trip. Lucy is engaging, confident, listens to her guests and is like that best friend you call when you need a pick me up. If you distill this podcast down to its very essence, it’s about taking the road less travelled (whether by choice or not) & discovering all the delights along the way. Well done Lucy for bringing this topic to light with a sense of fun, cheekiness, curiosity & realism! 5 stars all around!

My Favorite Podcast

I am so glad I discovered this podcast, it is by far my favorite. I am a divorced woman with grown children and I still can relate so much to a lot of the content. Validating and Necessary

I share this podcast with all my single friends, because it is very validating to hear about all the different, and positive, ways a single life can look. Spinsterhood Reimagined doesn’t only *reimagine* outdated single-woman stereotypes, but flips those stereotypes on their heads and reshapes them into positive, progressive messages about the inherent worth of women, regardless of relationship status. Love this show!

I have been a spinster(I don’t like that word!)for most of my life, was married for 6 years a decade ago, always a cat MOM, and I have to say its not be an easy path to take, and with most of my friends married, with or without kids, grandchildren and some without, I have often felt lonely on weekends, and like I am left out. Lucy’s podcast helps so much to not feel alone in this lifestyle! She is so interesting, has great guests, and she feels like your best friend that you could have a meal with and hang. She has a great personality, and fun! I learn a lot. Keep on keepin’ on Lucy! Oh and I am an Anglophile and adore her English accent.

Despite the show's provocative title, rest assured that you are instantly and safely brought to shore by Lucy and her soothing siren call to surrender any shame you might feel so you can fully appreciate the next stages of your life, wherever you are in its journey. I chose not to have children and don't regret it. Lucy has interesting guests and conversations about turning the shame conversation into a curated excavation of divine timing. If you related to Elizabeth Gilbert's story behind "Eat, Pray, Love" – then the future that awaits you without children can be a "Color Me Mine" adventure. You can enjoy your life fully with or without a life partner - so don't rule anything out! It's all good! Her early episode with Jody Day is fabulous! Don't miss it!
