Ak765Mostly great, minor complaintsLots of great guests and interesting perspectives! The host can not stop herself from interrupting everyone and talking about herself. And all of the 2-minute “clips” really clutter the podcast feed.

NavGreat podcast, weird feedLove to hear perspectives from people on a different part of the political spectrum, and the interviews are well done. Don’t love all the “clips” cluttering my podcast queue.

Iowa wind engineerCarbon TaxSo glad that there are fellow Republicans out here willing to stand up for climate action. Let’s make this mainstream! Put a price on carbon and the market will do the rest. -Kevin

Dragonfire 559Nuclear power technologies seem absent from Ecoright SpeaksA question for Bob Inglis and the Ecoright Speaks team: Why is there no discussion of nuclear energy - including advanced nuclear technologies and medium and small nuclear reactors - on the podcast? Nuclear energy is a zero-carbon technology that has far less impact on the earth than “clean” “renewable” energy resources such as solar, wind, and biomass. In fact, there is no possibility that solar and wind and biomass can provide the energy that the United States or the world needs now or in the future, even if there were advancements in battery storage and carbon capture technologies. Republicans who care about solving the climate challenge should be embracing nuclear energy technologies. The Ecoright Speaks could do a major good deed by discussing nuclear technologies on the podcast, countering the demonization of nuclear power by every major environmental group in the US. Good sources of information on nuclear’s ability to be a huge part of the solution to the climate challenge are The Climate Gamble, by Partanen and Korhonen, and Sustainable Energy - without the Hot Air, by David McKay; within just the first 20 pages or so these books present facts and ask questions that undermine arguments that renewables can and will provide humanity with the energy resources needed, and explain why nuclear energy is fully able to do so. Thank you, Jacqueline Miller Riverside, Illinois PS. I’ve been a listener for about a year. I do see that your website mentions that Ecoright Speaks supports nuclear energy, but I see no discussion of the subject on your website and have heard none on the podcast during that time.

RobinP2K1Solve CBAM: add a carbon tax!I’ve heard some US senators are speaking out against the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. What can we do to convince Senators to instead be FOR a price on carbon which protects US businesses from the CBAM and will create US jobs?

Ahtanum SpongeRepublican sponsors on carbon fee bills?Further to the question of why no Republicans have co-sponsored “CCL’s” carbon fee & dividend bill: Are there other carbon fee bills that Republicans are instead sponsoring? In particular, I’m wondering if there has been an industry-supported carbon fee bill that included a clause limiting the financial liability of fossil fuel companies for their role in causing carbon pollution and/or funding the denial campaign. What’s the story on that? —From a former Beaufort, SC resident.

Shark37A carbon price is not partisan.I'm a volunteer for CCL. I am a strong advocate of carbon price and dividend. My question is, why are there no Republican sponsors for H.R. 2307? Thanks for any insight you can provide.

FrisbwebbYes! Conservatives do care about the environmentWith the deep political polarization in society it’s so refreshing to find leaders like Bob Inglis and RepublicEN who champion real world solutions to complex problems that can work for everyone. EcoRight Speaks brings the voice of conservatives to the table on challenging environmental topics. Most importantly they don’t just pay lip service to caring about the natural world, nor do they pretend to be conservative in order to gain a new audience. These are people who advocate for conservative solutions that can actually solve our environmental challenges and actually do so in a way that is entirely consistent with conservative principles. We need a lot more groups like RepublicEN if we’re actually going to heal our cultural divisions while simultaneously solving some of the most challenging 21st century problems. Whether you’re conservative, liberal, libertarian, or whatever, you will appreciate the EcoRight approach that Bob takes. Question for Bob: which conservative leaders currently in office do you most respect on environmental issues? Question #2 for Bob: what words or actions do environmental activists do that make it harder to engage conservatives on conversations about stewardship? Question #3 for Bob: what forms of environmental activism do you think are most accessible for EcoRight conservatives?

rcava1979Worth the listen!!This has been a fascinating listen! How do you connect with fellow Republicans that don’t believe the science?

9orangelettersPolicy solutions for climate realistsThis is an excellent program for conservatives realistic about climate change to hear about policy solutions from industry and political experts, as a refreshing optimistic contrast in the climate change discussion.

Casey VFCWell done! Thanks for growing the voice of climate conservatives!

Every Nickname w/Jim is TakenJohn Curtis...Love That Guy.Nice to see someone in the Republican party not only advocate for climate change but offer pragmatic ways for reaching across the aisle to break the logjam here. Never heard of John Curtis before...I wish there were more folks like him in Congress. I’m a right-leaning Independent and business owner (actually Janet K’s’ “wonderful (but opinionated) conservative husband”) Chelsea so kindly mentioned in a recent Episode). I’m old enough to remember when the Republican party made climate and the environment a priority – keep pushing to swing the pendulum back in the Right direction. Maybe they’ll win me back!

JJACGProgressive Independent Loves this PodcastI am a 53 year old, college and grad school educated female entrepreneur living in Massachusetts. I have 13 year old twin girls and I am married to a wonderful conservative independent guy (who loves John Kasich). I was so happy to find this podcast as I am desperately trying to figure out what role I can play in advancing the ball on smart and innovative solutions to climate change. I - like all of you - know that to get there we MUST have bi-partisan support to drive government legislation that can help clear the path for market solutions that will change the course on the planet on an accelerated timeline. I loved hearing from John Curtis. Now I want to meet him. And hike with him! And I really, really want to hear so much more about the trust-based relationships that exist in Congress from those who are making progress. A podcast I would love - or maybe it is a Zoom meeting - has 4 legislators - 2 democrats and 2 republicans who are working together daily with their combined thoughts on how we can help! I’d also love to know if there is a bi-partisan organization of “parents who want to help clean up the mess”. I am a little too old for the Sunrise movement, but I want to be part of a conversation with people across the country who are trying to help for the sake of their kids. I can’t sleep sometimes thinking about how badly we’ve failed our children and what they will have to face to clean up our mess. I also will join RepublicEn. I agree that most important part of this effort right now is finding the places where the center left and center right can find common ground. Thank you for the movement you are creating. unclesamN/AThere is hope!As a rural Oregonian this podcast is outlining the conversation I have been wanting to hear in my community. Hunters, fishers, loggers, ranchers and farmers are natural environmentalists that should be part of the dialogue! I am excited to share this with my people.
-
fishyrainnVery encouragingFinally, a podcast for conservatives that speaks to environmental issues! This is very encouraging as an environmental and energy policy enthusiast who tends to lean right on fiscal issues.
-
Chris (SF)Key voice for actionOne of the most important voices in solving the climate crisis. We can’t solve this by talking past each other - EcoRight aims to build a majority force for action - the key to any long term fight.
-
FXC 2Recommend to your conservative friendsExcellent podcast with the right balance of realism and optimism on the critical issue of climate change. A great entry point for your conservative friends who still have their skepticisms.

SpenceUpstateNYA Great BridgeIf you care about climate change, and not political parties this could be for you. I find this podcast to be a bridge for those on different political sides. We can both care about climate change. We can both want to leave a better world to future generations. Join up let’s do something good together. I was skeptical at the first week or two, but I am no longer. This podcast from the conservative perspective, is trying to reach out. Let’s not miss this opportunity. Keep up the good work. I enjoy listening and learning. Sometimes I am challenged, but it helps me to think and learn more.

tgillette95Bipartisan friendly! This is the podcast that both conservatives and liberals did not know they needed! The bipartisan approach is crucial in this time of polarization in our country!
-
444CPYou have fun while educating usThank you for a refreshing dialog about the effects of pollution and the many ways to solve it. I am a Republican that wants our leaders to debate HOW to best put a price on carbon. The risks of green house gases are upon us.

Nicky1748The Right's got thisThe most effective climate solutions will come when the right matches the left's passion for planetary care. Thank you RepublicEn for stoking the fire! Hope it spreads.

Clint_Quantum_ChemistrySpeaks with a broad voiceI am someone who tends to fall left of center politically myself and I can say that this show reaches across the political divide and speaks with insight and logic. Being a scientist myself and working on these issues I felt like this show covered the topic of climate change and ecological impacts superbly. I have a great appreciation for how they note that people on both sides, politically, need each other and need to work together to solve these issues. This show is not for one political ideology, but speaks to everyone.
-
TimR-71Yes!!!!Climate change is not partisan and Republicans can and should lead with rock solid conservative solutions. Looking forward to hearing some great discussions.
