Love the shows covered, the smart takes, the political commentary, love to see it all. Would not still watch the bachelor if it weren’t for yall.

I have so loved you from the beginning but…
I have so loved you from the beginning but… and I know you have to cover more shows but many are shows I do not want to watch. I get it. But why can't you timestamp them like other podcasts are doing? Without timestamps I end up not listening to your podcast at all. Plus the one I want to listen to (it's 4/5) jumps back and forth from bachelor to non-bachelor shows. Until now I always listened to all your bachelor shows and I ALWAYS listened to yours first. But you Not Time stamping won't get me to listen to your whole show. Instead it means I don't listen to you AT ALL. And that makes me very very sad. So I guess it's goodbye unless and until you do time stamps

My funny, feminist, trash tv friends
I don’t watch the Bachelor franchise but I am in love with the LIB and Perfect Match recaps. I laugh out loud and agree with pretty much everything. Lots of new angry comments about your politics. I know it’s hard to take those ratings hits so I appreciate you speaking out still. It converted me to a paid subscriber!

    Truth, Preach!
As a therapist- this is incredibly validating and cathartic. Can you please address unfairness of the reunion. I’m fuming at the victim blaming and the audacity of someone who claims they could see themselves going back to school to be a therapist to have absolutely no understanding about the human psyche and how manipulation works by shaming Ashley. The reunion is unequivocally a retramatizaion. And this must be spoken about. Cearly, the obvious is not and the weponization of therapeutic awareness is grossly chilling. It’s the VF reunion is genuinely horrifying and exemplifies the modern patriarchy that hides behind weaponized ignorance.

    No Need To Watch Anymore
I don’t even watch the shows onscreen anymore, just listen to the delightful podcast commentary!

    Smart, witty take - a can’t miss
I love how incredibly smart these women are (on top of being funny and empathetic). They have the best references and make the experience of watching the show so much richer and more enjoyable. My one ask is that Emma seems to interrupt Claire and guests quite a bit and talk over them. Would love to hear a more even distribution - I love Claire’s commentary!

    Favorite podcast!
Feels like having a conversation with friends about The Bachelor! They offer a refreshing feminist perspective and I find Claire’s takes to be so witty and insightful. I’m really glad they added LIB recaps to the main feed too, I’ve watched the season so I can listen to those after!

    Guiltless Guilty Pleasure
My guilty pleasure podcast. I don’t even watch the franchise anymore, but love listening to this podcast! Such fully formulated takes on a franchise I hold near and dear but also don’t have time/energy to watch. Like having a girls chat with my besties every episode!

    Tiresome
Addendum II: OMG you were triggered by the American flag on Juliana’s front porch during her hometown date! It will be difficult for you if you ever try to move to the suburbs. I really only listen for the cringe woke comments and you really delivered with that one. Addendum: didn’t love Emma snarking “thank you for your service “ while clearly communicating an anti-military sentiment when discussing Marcus. Whether you appreciate it or not, he shed blood to protect you. A little unqualified respect would be nice. The hyper critical takes on almost everything the men, especially the “average white males”, do and say are getting old. (Not sure you’d tolerate a similar term being directed at any other demographic). Didn’t appreciate the snarky comments about Brandon’s brother going into the Navy. Somebody has got to protect your freedom while you are brunching in Manhattan.

    Entitled Liberal Elites
I’ve listened to Claire and Emma for nearly 10 years but their constant bias (and frankly out of context) political views are becoming unbearable to listen to. We’re not coming here for your political lectures on topics you know nothing about. For people who claim to be “tolerant and accepting” they love to vilify anyone who disagrees with their beliefs. Step out of your MSNBC echo chamber and listen to REAL voices around you before pretending your experts and judging other people’s lives. You guys were journalists? Really? If anything, please focus on the media commentary and leave politics out of it. No one cares and we’re sick of being talked down to.

    these are my girls
I don’t have a lot of friends who watch reality TV, and listening to this podcast feels like debriefing with friends - funny and insightful!

    Fun, intelligent, easy listening.
Like these two. I think they are more comedic than they realize!

    Too bachelor-centric
Love their takes but wish we could move away from bachelor content and discuss other shows or topics

I watch the bachelor for this podcast
I’ve been a bachelor viewer for years but my interest has waned over the last number of years with how the show has continued to stay the same and not make progressive and necessary changes. Once I discovered this podcast, I haven’t stopped watching the show so that I can listen to every podcast episode and know what’s up. I definitely have started other series just to listen to their takes. I love Emma and Claire’s conscious and realistic takes of the show and always look forward to listening!

    Long Time Listener
I have listened to these ladies for years and many seasons. They have always been critical of misogyny and stereotypes and tropes that disparage women. It should be no surprise that they would use their platform to speak out against the politics and people currently in place who are threatening women’s and other minorities rights. I appreciate their mix of snark and calling out of those systems in place that are threatening to take minorities and women back decades. Thank you!!

I don't care about your political opinions!
I enjoyed the in depth reviews of the bachelor but starting this season with politics is not the move. You have alienated an entire subset of your audience by berating their opinions. Take it to a political podcast if you feel the need but I won't be listening any longer.

    Favorite podcast
Have been a fan for 10 years and always will be! I look forward to whatever you decide to talk about every week and I’ve even watched movies/shows I wouldn’t have otherwise just to be “part of the convo”. Ultimate parasocial best friends

    My favorite podcast
I’ve been listening to Claire and Emma for years and have gotten multiple friends and even exes into it too. Their commentary on reality tv is the best there is: funny, smart, and thoughtful. They should be proud of the 1 star reviews they’ve gotten because it’s a sign that they’ve actually stood up for what they believe in. Cultural commentary is not separate from our politics and they are the best at having thoughtful conversations about hard topics. Yes I turn to these shows when I was to forget about politics but we can’t turn it off completely. It’s nice to know some podcasters are willing to stand for something.

    My favorite recap show
I love this show! Claire and Emma are smart, funny, and insightful. I’m on their Substack too for the extra content. Love the liberal vibes and observations. Don’t skip this podcast!

    Stop the political talk
I listened bc you were suggested to me by my podcast app. First 30 seconds bringing politics in. That’s not why we are here. If you stop I might be back
  • CurlyGorl
    Great Podcast!
As a 50-something long time Bachelor franchise fan, it’s hard to find podcasts that are smart, insightful, and enjoyable. I’ve dropped several podcasts by younger generations because they mock older fans or recap the show with tons of hate and negativity. I find Emma and Claire to be so refreshing and incredibly smart. I love their perspectives (with the perfect amount of snark 😁) and look forward to listening each week. This is quickly becoming my favorite recap podcast.

    Politics ?
Stop please …. I appreciate your opinion about the show, but would appreciate you not dragging politics and your opinion about the state of the country into it. This show is an escape from it for me. Come here for Snark.
  • TabBordelon
Keep politics out of the show
Ppl are listening to ur podcast for the recaps, the political conversation is irrelevant. Ur offending an entire percentage of ppl who could be ur audience. Dogging specific cast members who don’t have the same political views as u is being closed minded, which is essentially the very thing ur accusing them of when u speak negatively about them for even “looking” as if they vote a certain way. I do think u girls can go far! Would “love to see it!” ◡̈
  • AbbySt34
    Longtime listener
When I first started listening to Claire and Emma‘s podcast, it was almost a decade ago when I was in my early 20s. At that time at that time, my feminist perspective to life was still very immature. Claire and Emma have played a very important role in helping me understand how gender and societal norms and constructs should be challenged. With every bachelor episode, rom com and reality tv recap I try to guess what they are going to say, but they consistently catch details I missed and I learn something new even ten years later.
  • LemonDifficult:
    No more “Girlie”
Every time they use phrases like “fitness girlie” or “new york girlie” it sounds so unnatural. Like they’re trying to fit in with a certain demographic that doesn’t suit them. Just be authentic to your real personalities and stop trying to fit in with the PSL loving giant hat tiny dog girls.
  • Jilljill99999
    *sigh*…..
Love their style in recapping the show. But unfollowing because they can’t seem to help themselves from bashing any political view that isn’t theirs.
  • susanebere
One of my consistent go to podcast.
I too, have been listening for years. Their feminist approach is mainly why. I’ve grown to love them. I love this cyber friendship!
  • Jmrisdon
Love to See All of It
I’ve been listening to these two for almost a decade. I show up for the consistent perspectives, witty takes & compassionate allyship. I stay for the occasional grammar lesson. Any review criticizing the inclusion of politics has missed the key messaging embedded throughout their entire journalism careers. Keep it up!
  • ktjsj
    Smart take on this show
I wasn’t in love at first but over time this has become my favorite bachelor-related podcast. I love the feminist viewpoint and Claire is so insightful. I never get tired of it and it’s usually the first podcast I want to listen to!! I’ve really enjoyed the rom com recaps and other extras, too.
  • Bekmitch
    Love to Hear it!
I look forward to Emma and Claire discussing The Bachelor franchise and everything else they want to every week. Claire and Emma are so insightful. I feel like they take the protozoan ideas in my head and speak them as fully formed statements, an experience that is hard to replicate. You are doing important work, ladies! Thank you!

    5+ stars
I laugh, I cry, I curse the patriarchy. Love this show (especially the rom com rewatches).

    Hypocrites
Unfollowed after this latest political episode. Pair of Hypocrites who only have sympathy if you agree with them politically.
  • CPAZID
    Politics
Everyone is entitled to their own political views. You guys act like you can’t follow or be friends with anytime from Bachelor nation if they didn’t vote the same way as you. Get over it.
  • NeesyG
    Politics
Keep politics out of your podcast … we are all entitled to our OWN opinions you’re gonna lost listeners !!
  • LiAnd5
Came for the recaps, left because of the politics
Long, loyal listener, no longer enjoying the negativity and overall assumption that because someone is “republican” then they are “bad.” Who someone votes for doesn’t define who they are.

My favorite podcast! But one request…
I absolutely love this podcast. Claire and Emma are so entertaining, and the episodes never get dull. Their voices are so soothing, and they always have such great chemistry with their guests. I don’t even watch The Bachelor, but I listen to this podcast every single week. But *one* thing I’m hoping Claire and Emma can be more mindful of moving forward: a lot of us listen to podcasts like this for escapism. While I agree with most of Claire and Emma’s political views, I very deliberately avoid political content because it feels so draining and overwhelming. I would love to be able to listen to a 2-hour podcast without worrying about the state of American politics. I know feminism makes political topics inevitable, but if they must be addressed for more than a brief moment, I would sincerely, sincerely appreciate it if Claire and Emma told us how far to skip ahead or put timestamps in the episode description. I just want my witty recaps😭

    Golden Men Tell All
Thank you for your expression of how you were feeling after the election results. You summed up EXACTLY how I was feeling on Tues night and Wed morning. Listening to your recap on Thursday evening made me cry (again) but I was also comforted by listening to one of my favorite podcasts about something so unimportant and light. Thinking of you both and so many other women. Thank you for entertaining us- but please take the time you need💕

    Over it
    Just stop with the politics.
  • Deeenerrrr
    Good without the politics
Usually excited to listen but clicked on today’s and couldn’t last 2 minutes listening to them cry after the election.

Aww Emma wanna give you a hug
You can hear the hurt in your voice that we are all feeling right now. I called in sick for work and took a Xanax to go back to sleep. It’s never expected but thank you for being so vulnerable. And thank you Claire for being the great friend who helped make her laugh 💖

    My favorite podcast
I find myself waiting for every new episode of Love to See It with much more anticipation the Bachelor itself! Emma and Claire are brilliant, articulate, funny, and relatable. Love listening to their analysis, and am constantly impressed but how thoughtful and insightful they are!
  • Laureal 🖤
Thank you for this considerate discussion re: TRO/devin
I really appreciate how much care and consideration you all put into this difficult discussion regarding DV, Restraining orders, casting and Devin. I have had to decide what I can consume when it comes to this because of my experience. I had to turn off RS’s video and despite curiosity, I didn’t read all of the articles. You were able to sum them up and showed true care and understanding for what the survivors feel. Restraining orders unfortunately don’t work in my experience it can make the behavior of the person it’s filed against scarier and angrier. But at least they should be searchable and findable for a major network to protect those who trust them. Thank you again 🖤

    Emma & Claire ROCK!!!
Thank you both for your spot-on recaps and insightful perspectives!!! Appreciate and love every episode!!! Jenn’s finale recap was everything!!! No one does better than y’all!

    Most thoughtful podcast
Marcus is a textbook dismissive avoidant type. They don’t have access to their emotions which are suppressed (even though they can cry FOR themselves) and don’t have the language for positive emotions such as love… at the same time if things don’t work out they will think it just wasn’t the right person because with their emotional immaturity they think their person will be perfect, as in perfect for them and wouldn’t require any work. That’s why at the show Marcus was fine with losing Jenn as he thinks Jenn just wasn’t his person. They don’t understand their own sabotage and project everything out as in ‘this person just isn’t the right one for me.’ But what we saw during the season is Marcus’ inability to bring love to the relationship. He just sat there and fell flat and all we saw was him being scared and feeling scared about any steps to move forward in love. It was all about pressure, and feeling pressured, and not wanting to make a move that could be the wrong one etc etc. This is exactly where he will always stay unless he gets therapy. But typically they won’t. And instead date a bunch of people and make a mess of their dating life because they’re flitting around from one person to another trying to find that perfect thing that doesn’t exist without any introspection, and little or no caring about their partners. And that is something we’re already learning about Marcus as reflected in his dating history and the scuttle-butt around that.

    Negativity getting worse every year.
Every season I think I’m going to give this podcast one more chance. But I think this season might actually be the last. The negativity with which these two hosts discuss the show is exhausting. The introduction of the show says the host “break down the weird messages” sent by television, but over the years I have noticed they don’t actually offer criticism. The only commentary comes in the form of sarcastic, negative, biting jokes made other people’s expense usually based on assumptions about the person that there is no way to verify. Yes, poking fun can itself be commentary, but that’s not what these hosts are doing. This season finale was the last straw. We all saw what happened; we all understand that Devin is an idiot, but I’m tired of the discourse that he’s an idiot because he’s a man. And before I go any further let me explain that I am a woman and I do consider myself a feminist but I do not hate men for being men because I do not want anyone to hate me for being a woman and how dare I not offer them the same respect. These hosts have a prevailing attitude that men are stupid because they are men and women can do no wrong and, frankly, I’m tired of it. People are messy because people are people, and they should be judged their individual actions, not on the basis of their gender. But that is all these two hosts seem to do — I pity the partners and any sons that they have, because what will it be like to grow up knowing that your mother hates men and you are a man and that she will always look down on you for being male? Every season, I go into the show wondering how much more of this I can take. Well I think I found it. They act as though women can do no wrong and that all of the failings come from the man because he is a man therefore everything bad is his fault and that is simply not realistic. I have enough negativity like this in my regular life and I choose to no longer partake in it here. I had followed these two hosts from Here To Make Friends and over to Love To See It, but I am done. I simply can’t support this level of gender-based negativity, no matter which direction it’s going, and I will not anymore.

    The best reality show recappers!
I stopped watching any of The Bachelor franchise years ago, but have been a dedicated listener of Emma & Claire since they started the podcast as Here to Make Friends. They are the only recappers I have found to balance humor, feminism, and sharp critique so well. An absolute must follow, and their subscriber-only pod Rich Text is just as great.

    Great pod!
    Love to see it.

    Love it!
I’ve made my rounds through the different bachelor pod’s and this is by far my favorite. I loved Carrie Rosen as a guest, bring her back for sure!
  • CurlsPearce
    Claire and Emma
Love this podcast and both Claire and Emma. They are great together, but they are also terrific on their own with their special guests. Jacqueline Trumbull is exceptional and I’m also enjoying Carrie Rosen from Bachelor In Retrospect. Thanks for your thoughtfulness in choosing guests and your continuing insights. I am especially glad you have pointed out the inequities in the shortened Bachelorette seasons, and how that increases the likelihood.that the Bachelorette will have a spiraling ending. I’ve been waiting for someone to highlight this. Definitely an excellent podcast for the analytic Bachelor fan.
