If give it five stars if it wasn't for the horribly irritating whistling theme tune. Please consider changing it. Otherwise it's an excellent podcast providing edifying doses of mandarin.

I have returned to studying Chinese after many years, and I’ve tried several different podcast. I find that this one explains things in a simple but effective manner. Many of the others would not explain grammar. I really appreciate understanding the grammar behind vocabulary. The teacher is very consistent, and repeats things enough times so that I can understand it. I appreciate having the additional, well presented information for a reasonable price in the premium level.

Great podcast for beginner through intermediate learners of Mandarin Chinese. It would also be nice to have more of the instruction in Mandarin. Downloadable free Chinese character writing sheets are a nice gift! If they had a clickable link to your site, it would work well to advertise this excellent podcast.

I’ve listened to and tried a lot of different podcasts, CDs, tapes and other audio courses for Mandarin instruction, and this one is easily the best. The instructor is articulate, knowledgeable and keeps it interesting. Really enjoying this, and am even considering buying the premium subscription.

哇塞！I cannot recommend this podcast enough, Qiong is the man! Simple, easy to follow lessons and he even includes character and pinyin translations of lessons on his website. If you want to pick up Chinese this is the place. I have been studying Mandarin for years and have become so rusty but this is bringing me back to the streets of Beijing. Thank you!

I subscribe to several mandarin lesson podcasts. This one is my fav. Worth a listen for sure!

Chung, the host, has a great voice; very clear and easy to understand the pronunciation as well as the tones! Easy, short, lessons on topical themes help as a refresher, supplement for conversational and vocabulary gaps as well as a beginning mandarin primer. I’d highly recommend this and I look forward to the podcasts each week! 加油努力學習中文！

I plan to study abroad in China during my sophomore year and started attending language lessons taught by native Chinese. I had so much difficulties following the lessons until my Prof introduce dimsum mandarin to me. It's not just another Chinese phrases podcast ! I was amazed by how Chinese grammer and sentences structure are clearly explained in simple English. The podcast also come with detailed lesson guide and worksheets ( for a nominal sum). Speakers of different accents are also cleverly planned into one dialogue. I really enjoy your lessons ! Keep up the good work !!!

I have attended classroom Chinese lessons and purchased numerous books with supported audios, I have not found a better learning system than this. The course are well-paced and arranged in bite-size portion. For serious learner, I would highly recommend you to go for the platinum membership. It's comprehensive content completes my Chinese learning experiences. Transcribe found in the lesson guide are really useful, phrases and grammar are also well explained. I love the character pack that explain the meaning of Chinese character covered in the respective podcast. I find it so easy to remember the character when it is break down into radical and interesting etymology. I look forward to your next lesson !

Chung explains things very clearly, and I like his voice. It's very friendly, which is helpful for a language that can be intimidating for English speakers. I'm surprised how much I'm learning.
