wojack00Simply the Best!I have found tremendous value in hearing REAL stories of how people have made intentional career changes. The podcast is insightful, entertaining, and they’re consistently seeking to align career change advice with latest empirical evidence. I’ve read the book, met with Scott personally, and can with certainty say they’re the real deal!
-
bcchuckGreat podcast! It’s hard to find good career changing podcasts! Hoping this is a good one! So far so good!
-
manjuiciiBest for shared origin storiesI have not found a better source of honest storytelling about career-change journeys. Their messaging is consistent and it’s possible to learn from the podcasts whether you purchase a product (enroll in additional resources) or not!
-
DougiedougiedougIt’s about so much more! The career change content is fantastic and provides practical advice and processes to help you make a change. But the additional focus on topics like mindset address the reasons why we do t make these changes. Well done!

araimondSolid Career AdviceBeen listening to this podcast for a few years now and always come back to it when I’m starting to feel like I’m in a rut. They do a great job with interviewing people with real-world challenges and are honest about what to expect. Just bought the book since I’d like to have a hard copy to reference so I can outline what’s really important for my career path.

kcat_22Definitely worth it!I came across this podcast a few months back, and was hooked! As a career professional, I’m always on the lookout for high-quality podcasts that I can share with my clients and colleagues…this one made the list! The topics and conversations are engaging and relevant, and a great space for new learning and validation. I highly recommend!!
-
James Grover WindhamDecent but there’s a catch…There are some good nuggets here and there, but it’s really just selling Career Coaching to people that are pleading for any help they can get. I had a call or two with them, and the price tag is very steep. Especially for people who are stuck in bad career situations and just want help getting out. Kind of predatory…
-

WittyWhittNot Just a JOBScott- I just discovered your podcast and I am so happy I did. While I haven't listened to many episodes YET, the ones I have listened to resonate with me on a deep level. In particular, as I was listening to episode 274 from Marc, I felt like the conversation you were having with Kelly was one I have with my clients. I believe it is possible and important to do work we find fulfilling and fits within the life we design. For too long we've chosen professions or worse not chosen and just ended up somewhere that serves a financial end, but robs us of our joy and drains our spirit. I was one of those people. It wasn't until I got real with myself about my values and priorities and got over my fear of leaving a well paying and cushy job that I was able to move into work that I not only enjoy but allows me to make a direct difference in the lives of others. I connected with Kelly and her journey. Now that I know better and want to spread the word. I will be sharing your podcast as a resource and look forward to learning from you and your community one episode at a time. Thanks!

krose55A hidden gem for any career changer or coachI was so surprised at the high quality of this podcast. As someone who has consumed quite a few different career advice pods and articles, I'm used to having to squeeze out value from a bunch of fluffy bullet points or up-selling type of content. But with this podcast, the advice feels juicy, relevant, and really intuitive all at once. Thank you!
-
gratitudeLZIf you feel lost about career happiness, this is the podcast to listen toI'm so glad to have chanced upon Happen To Your Career. Scott Barlow (the host) is a joy to listen to. He offers great insight about all kinds of career advice through interviews with people who've gone through all kinds of career changes, and you can tell that he's genuinely interested in helping people. This podcast exudes positivity, compassion, and practical advice. If you're feeling lost about how to achieve career happiness, this podcast is your guiding light.

starbyjA Lot To LearnI just finished today's podcast "Avoid The Application Black Hole" and I thought it was great. As a copywriter, I like to think of myself as a strong cover letter writer but I got a lot out of it. I found myself both nodding along and saying "Yep, that's how I do it", and also saying "hmm, never looked at it that way." (Both validation and education, what more could you want in a podcast?) I think the advice was spot on, actionable, and I haven't heard it discussed that way anywhere else. So I think it can help a lot of people. I haven't listened to many of the shows, but as I'm going through a pretty intense career struggle of my own, I'm looking forward to hearing more. I'm going to need all the help I can get.
-
Big Drew 88Good concept, sloppy approachI like the concept of the podcast but feel like I’m trying to be sold on their coaching in every episode I’ve listened to.

Sara H1Finding a Career you love is possible for everyoneScott has a way of breaking down the incredibly complex process of finding a career you love. Not only will you discover action steps to take but you will believe that you can find a career you love. Through listening to HTYC I have discovered that there are many things that I thought where true and are not which held me back before. For example is it not the technical skill you have but the soft skills that make the impact in your career. Think about your past careers and how the technical skills may have gotten you a start in the job it’s the soft skills and figuring out the 20% that makes the most impact that will get you moving forward. Check out the free 8 day email course too!

I particularly enjoyed your show with Caroline Adams; such wonderful insight from a perspective that resonates strongly with my own and those of my friends, colleagues and clients. More like Caroline (or more Caroline), please!

KaraFortierThank you...Thanks to the work you’ve been doing on this podcast and your blog, I’m starting a certificate program in January that I never imagined I’d have the nerve to do. I love how your methodology kind of takes us through the “back door” and helps us pass by the blocks we might have that make us feel stuck and hopeless. Anyone who’s open to guidance and thinking big just for a minute might rediscover dreams once discarded as unrealistic. Thanks for helping so many of us figure things out!
-
