    Great story
Wonderful tale of spaceship life. Good listening to a clean story of a nice officer.

    Nicely done!
The pace of book 4 was a little off; but Lowell is back in great form for this volume. This entire series has provided a wonderful journey. Truly, warm thanks for some mental relaxation during this curves of 2020!

    Great story
I only wish that the story went in another direction. It’s said to be a tale of the golden age of the clipper trader and definitely starts that way with the first couple books. However it takes a hard left after Ishmael leaves the Lois mckendrick and never gets back to the original story. I still like where the story went but it could have been so much better. Why build up the whole back story of the co-op in the first two books and then go nowhere with that story line. Strange. It’s supposed to be the story of a trader but really it’s the unrealistic story of a guy who apparently did everything right in life and can do no wrong. I do like that he questions himself. That is a sure sign of someone who is intelligent. Unfortunately too often in this world it is the dull who have the confidence and the intelligent who second guess themselves. That’s why I like the main character... he questions himself. I think it would have been a much better story had there been more trials and tribulations. Also why would the two main characters from the first two books not have kept in touch when they were best friends? That seems very unlikely considering how close they were written to be. I know this book is over a decade old and I haven’t finished the story completely yet but I was asked to write a review so I felt compelled to do so. I am almost at the end of book 5 at the time of writing this. After book 1 I honestly thought that Ishmael and Pip would have gone somewhere in life. Maybe I should wait until I finish the story but up until this point I’m slightly disappointed. Also there is way to much emphasis put on coffee. Realistically who drinks that much coffee

    Great story, great series
The solar clipper series remains one of the very best sci-fi tales I have ever read. IMHO Nathan Lowell stands with Heinlein and Asimov as a science fiction great.

    Amazing
If you have yet to experience the writings of Nathan Lowell you must. There is nothing second rate about his books. Although set aside some time. You will not soon put them down.

Nathan Lowell is the Ultimate storyteller!
A spellbinding series with narration that makes you feel like you're really living in the world of the future! Start with the first, Quarter Share, and you'll be hooked!

    Once again More goodness
I cannot tell enough people about this series. NAthan Lowell takes the Stereo typical Space Opera and says no. Instead of following Star Trek, Star Wars, Buck Roger and Flash Gordon. He follows the Nautical Storytelling tradition. It is less about fights and more about relationships.
