Stephanie MackExcellent Deep Dive Classical Discussion and Musical Example PodcastA wonderful way to spend some genuine quality time (and you’ll need a lot of it) on a guided tour through some great music with an extremely knowledgeable tour guide. Highly recommended!

Optimist runnerIn-depth explorations of composers and genresYou can learn in detail about all kinds of classical music genres and composers. helpful explanations and contexts for the music. But a request: please break these monster long podcasts into chunks of say an hour. 5 hours is 5x too long, and very hard to manage on a mobile device.

RustleDavisInformative look at new and different MusicLove the podcast, it’s nice to have a way to hear long bits of leautiful pieces I wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. I was disappointed by the audio quality in some of the narration, though. There were long parts for corrupted audio, or where the host was moving the mic while recording. Very hard to listen to when the volume is up from hearing the music.

Mikel729Way too longMost episodes top 2 hours, and the most recent episode is 3 hours 48 minutes. Really!? You need to find a way to split these 2-hour plus episodes into into two (or three, if necessary) shorter episodes.

Krissalee85Too much operaI love classical music, but I can’t stand opera singing. Most of the recent episodes have been opera. No thank you.

Barbara455If Only Classical Radio Were This GoodThis podcast is not for the casual fan of the "Classical Top 10". You will not get the same old tiresome chestnuts here. You'll hear plenty of less familiar but very worthy music, presented in a knowledgeable and dignified manner (both attributes sorely missing on most classical radio in the US today). The episodes are long, but you get to lose yourself in complete pieces - not just a single movement of a symphony. The talk is never excessive, and never insulting. No stupid banter or talking down to the listener. The series on modern string quartets was over twelve hours, but it was fascinating and there was never a dull moment. This is the only podcast I still listen to regularly; long may it live!

Trusty JohnOutstanding PodcastOne of the two best classical podcasts still producing new content (the other being the Gardener Museum concert series). Episodes range from roundtable critics discussions to musician interviews to wide ranging surveys of composers' works. The people behind this podcast know what makes a good performance, and unlike your local classical radio station, they don't play mediocre recordings from second rate musicians. This is a podcast for people who are passionate about music and it rewards close listening. This is not the podcast for the person looking for some pleasing background music. I should also point out that the podcasters do not speak during performances, so you can always use your fast forward button if you don't like to listen to talking.

divinegoddessofloveReview- Quit talkingMusic is beautiful the conversation Is not necessary. It would be preferable that these podcasts be without talking when listening to classical music.
