Kjb espn appAlex CallCould you guys talk about Alex Call? Seems to be an elite points league player with his plate discipline. He hit lead off this weekend and Dylan Crews seems to be losing playing time and may be sent down. He finished last year hot and started this year hot too. His statcast page doesn’t hot a lot of hard contact but elite walking and strikeout skills.

weeehouseLove ItThe crew has simple set the bar high for a baseball podcast, let alone a fantasy baseball podcast. Enjoyable to listen to, massive dives into metrics and data, and overall lightheartedness makes this a routine listen.

Randy495Mailbag QuestionThanks guys for bringing the knowledge every day! I have a mailbag question for you - maybe fantasy cops. I’m in a league where a friend is the commissioner. There have been a lot of first time players in the first two years of the league’s existence- I kind of feel that the commish is taking advantage of these players by making unfair trades. This year’s trade involved him giving up Jackson Jobe and receiving CJ Abrams. Last year he got Dylan Cease for Kyle Harrison and Jameson Taillion. Do I immediately quit the league? Stage a protest? Prey on these new owners too? What do we think?

cutler000FAB QuestionThanks Frank, Scott, and Chris; excellent show! I’m playing in a league with FAB for the first time. Are there any strategies on how best to use your budget for free agents? It’s a long season. How do you balance being aggressive when buying free agents with saving money for later in the year?

Jjj973737Top 3 fantasy show (of all sports and shows)Listen to these dudes everyday either commuting or my chill time while I game. All complement each other really well. My only gripe - make frank bring back “right after **this**” - don’t listen to the nay sayers!

Upside potentialRe-set early or hold?Dear Babe, Lou, & Tony - Hands down you guys have the best show for fantasy baseball ! Question we just finished our H2H weekly category draft and there are some potential breakouts left. Our categories are ERA/Whip/Fip Do you recommend holding onto draft picks for a certain length of time to see how they are doing? Or is there an advantage to jump out early on potential breakouts like: Shane smith Bubba Chandler Quinn Mathews Or Chase Burns We play 8 pitchers weekly with 25 inning min to score Would you recommend swapping any of the following from my team? Skubal/Gilbert/Hunter Brown/ Arragetti/Devin Williams/Peralta/Gavin Williams/ Clay Holmes/ Robbie Ray/ zebbie Matthews

RRPBobbyDisapproving Frank……is now my favorite part of the show. If he disagrees with Chris or Scott, he gives them the “Mmm hmm.” Polite but judgy, like a school principal lol.

PJN66Good showOverall, a very good fantasy baseball podcast. Listen to them each morning on my way into work or even at the gym. I do kind of wish they’d do less of the live mock drafts. I just can’t see how they’re very practical or helpful but to each their own. I do also wish Frank would say something other than “Right…after…THIS” when going to commercial break and he makes his voice high pitched on “this” every single time. I’m being extremely petty at this point. Still love the show.

Wiley loppingerMY FAVORITE PODCASTThis podcast has become a stable of my daily routine due to the combination of high level analysis but also the cast. I can’t describe it but each cast member had their distinct personalities and they balance each other out so well. Millie from Dallas - Question for the pod: I’ve heard Scott mention that he likes to not draft pitchers until all the impact hitters are off the board. In a points league, who are the last group of hitters that should be drafted before you start considering pitchers.

FantasyClay2112Outstandingest Fantay Baseball PodcastHello gentlemen (using the term loosely), First of all, I have run the same CBS-hosted fantasy league for now 25 seasons, and have been listening to this podcast for at least a decade, and I appreciate both CBS fantasy and the work you all do. I have two questions, one specific to my league and one of general interest. Please answer one or both, or neither. In a previous life I was a high school baseball coach, and in high school ball as in MLB, among the most valuable commodities is healthy starting pitching and I monitored the workload of my pitchers very closely. However, I was not concerned with innings, but with pitches thrown, or pitch count. The fantasy baseball world is obsessed with innings pitched, year to year innings jumps, etc. I am far more interested in pitches thrown,l which is NEVER considered. Not all innings pitched are the same - an inning can end in three pitches, or finally ending after a 40 pitch Chernobyl meltdown - and yet they are both considered the same by fantasy baseball analysts. Clearly one is far more impactful than the other, and every game keeps track of pitches, so why is pitch count not considered? Secondly, our league head to head points league scores 4 points for a hold, 5 for a save and -9 for a blown save. An owner can go safe with a middle reliever with no threat of a huge blown save penalty, or roster a higher risk/higher reward true closer. How would your analysis of closers change, if at all, under this scoring system? Thank you again for all you do, Clay Fees Rural Oklahoma

Nick BelcherQuestionDear Doug, Dave, and Orlando, (2004 Red Sox deadline acquisitions) Question about keepers, broad and specific. If you could keep one pitcher, would your strategy be: - Take a top tier stud 1 or 2 round discount - Take one of the top pitchers who probably over performed with a bigger discount than the top tier stud - Take a good pitcher who is coming off an injury or had a down year at an even bigger discount than the other two Here is the specific example, Standard 5x5 Category 10 Team League - Keep Skubal in round 3 - Keep Chris Sale in round 9 - Keep Gerrit Cole in round 13 Just curious where you value the discount you get vs the stud you end up locking up, thinking about how you would react if these individuals slid to these rounds almost. And then whether thorough email on the podcast, any specific answer in to what you would do? Can only keep 1! Thanks so much! Nick

Nauggg2122Great showThese guys are awesome. Not much nonsense like other podcasts they get straight to the topic. Chris can get on my nerves but these guys are highly knowledgeable. great content.

kryan225Favorite fantasy baseball podcastLong time listener and former pfaadt&vargas bag holder, love the show! I play 12 team, 5x5 roto, auction, keeper (1 year keep limit) NO AL central. Could you go over a list of players to stash that could be flipped at the trade deadline. I'm thinking injured/suspended players that go for discounts at the draft and will provide great keeper value (degrom, Woodruff, etc). I'm looking to trade them to tanking owners for their stars down the line. Thanks! LFGM

heppsballin77335Question reviewWhat’s up Kevin, James, and Russell, I play in a 5x5 categories league. Offensive Categories are Runs, Home runs, RBI, Stolen bases, and OPS. I have the 3rd overall pick. Based on league talk, I know Ohtani and Witt are going 1 and 2. I’m currently watching the Reds Spring Training game and Elly De La Cruz is 2-2 with 2 home runs. Is there a case to be made for Elly over Judge? His stolen bases almost win you the category every week, and if what he said about changing his batting stance is true, he could hit close to 40 home runs. Wanted to hear your guys thoughts, love the show I’m a huge fan. Tell Scott to grow a beard. -Isaac

Lurch948DecisionsLove the pod fellas. Trying to narrow down my last keeper between Glasnow, Teoscar Hernandez, and Jordan Westburg. Glasnows health and being in a 6 man rotation makes me nervous. Already have two good keeper pitchers. Love Teoscar but with good outfielders being more available I feel like k could have an average with westburg at 2B. Let me know what you think

BigDscottyNo more Chris towersI’m sorry for even having to write a review but Chris Towers is so bad, with his vocal fry voice, awful humor, bad advice about fantasy and continuously cutting off Scott, who actually has good advice, that I can’t listen anymore. I’m sure he’s a nice guy but learn how to speak without the Paris Hilton vocal fry man. You’re an adult

AndrewDeets5 star show guys + draft question.I got the first 4 out of 5 picks (one team has second overall) 3 player keeper league. My keepers going in are Kyle Tucker, James Wood & Strider (4 year contracts). Assuming I draft Vlad (1st/3rd eligibility), how do I tackle picks 3-5: The guy with the second pick is leaning on taking Matt Olson since he is stacked at OF. After Vlad (1st/3B eligible), I want to draft Jackson Chourio & Logan Gilbert. Are these the right calls? Who should I draft as my 4th player in the first round? Remaining player pool: Freeman, Alonso, Schwarber (OF eligible), Trea Turner, Jazz, Burnes, Sale & Crochet. League format: 6x6 Cats league- OPS replaces AVG & Xtra base hits is the 6th category (HR, RBI, Runs, Steals are the other 4). League has a major focus on SP with 7 Thank you for all the hard work fellas!

CoachbulldogGreat daily fantasy baseball podcastRegardless of the type of fantasy baseball leagues you play, this podcast is a must listen. I play in several leagues from NFBC to home leagues and the in-depth analysis from Frank, Scott, and Chris. The discussions are relevant to owners in redraft, keeper, and dynasty leagues. Beyond the podcast, CBS Sports’ coverage of fantasy baseball is outstanding! Updates on the latest injuries, minor league call ups, and rankings are posted daily. I subscribe to several premium services but the CBS Sports fantasy baseball site is the first site I go to each morning!

daniel.kes30Best daily, in-season podcast in the bizIf you’re looking to step up your fantasy game, or just trying to find a good podcast to stay up-to-date with fantasy baseball trends and prospect developments, look no further. Beyond the great off-season content, Frank, Scott, and Chris do an amazing job of getting shows out each weeknight during the season, helping you stay on track with streamers and hot waiver wire claims. Whether it’s undrafted players coming up out of seemingly nowhere (looking at you Spencer Schwellenbach) or fantasy studs on a tear (i.e., Vlad Jr post haircut) these guys have their stuff together to give you the first reaction to the games each evening. After years of playing fantasy baseball, I trust no other fantasy crew more than these three and their chemistry on the air is what makes this podcast an easy listener. 🙌

Fox2.01st RounderThis podcast is definitely first round worthy, battling for the number 1 overall spot with Rates and Barrels.

Chillson83Best Fantasy Baseball podcastDefinitely considered the best Fantasy Baseball podcast by people who are into fantasy baseball. Frank, Chris and Scott are all very knowledgeable and likable. Definitely good to have podcasters as fun as them otherwise it can get too technical and nerdy on other podcasts.

Pirates1887Fantastic content! As someone who loves baseball and fantasy baseball I make this my go to place to listen to quality content. Never over the top click bait takes, measured commentary filled with worthy nuggets of knowledge. Everyone involved does a tremendous job and they are accurate and concise with their information. Well done, keep up the great work.
-
DoctorPepper21Great Podcast!!Listen to every podcast. They discuss more players and game action than any other podcast. Frank does a fantastic job in leading and I love the banter!! Had my best fantasy year ever. Played in 4 leagues which are all 5x5 format. Won my 12 team home league and 10 team NL Auction (started the year Frank was born) league. Played in 2 NFBC Draft Champions leagues with a 1st and 2nd place finish. My only “complaint” is that most of the draft and strategy advice is geared towards small points leagues. They have shared this is the format they have had the most personal success in and the format most of their audience plays. It would be nice to have a listeners’ league which is 5x5. But, overall, a great podcast which is a joy to listen to and definitely helped me have a tremendous fantasy season. Thanks for everything and keep up the good work!!

Girth AlgarPompous and PreachyScott has zero personality. Chris is an insufferable know it all hipster type. There’s much better fantasy baseball content available.

Couldn’t have done it without the CBS team. Thank you to everyone for all the hard work throughout the entire season. Content is amazing. Loved every minute of it!

Flying ForearmSo much fun!I’ve been playing home league fantasy baseball for almost 20 years. Came across these guys in late April this year and haven’t missed one minute of the show since. Sang along so bittersweetly with the last Kokomo intro of the year this morning. Scott is so cocksure. Chris is so aw shucks. And Frank! I had no idea how good you were at what you do until you went on vacation! Arrived here for information and ended up entertained. My Yahoo Roto league isn’t apples to apples with the analysis on the show. Don’t care. Comfortable show analyzed by guys who clearly love baseball and all things stats. Can’t wait for next season already!
-
BsbdbcBaseball todayLove this show! Been listening for years.

Creedcraver5ChampionshipLove the show and analysis. All of the pre-draft tips and all of the in season advice helped me to be the top scoring team and to bring home the championship. Looking forward to bringing it back again with Frank, Scott, and Chris. There is no where better for fantasy baseball advice.

BigGMAN99Best Fantasy Baseball PodcastI’ve been listening to Frank, Scott & Chris since 2018. They are absolutely the best fantasy baseball podcast. Not only do they provide meaningful and concise information, but they are genuinely entertaining and funny. If you want to put yourself at a huge advantage in your fantasy league and have a good time while doing it, start listening to this show!

Kozy BungalowGreat show!If you’re playing fantasy baseball and not listening to show you are playing on hard mode. These guys are consistent, thorough and entertaining. And every now and then Scott even listens to Frank!

116narrowTitle RunA friend of mine In 2018 talked me into playing fantasy baseball. I hadn’t played or followed baseball much before and didn’t know where to start but I wanted to be competitive. I found this podcast and you guys gave me not only a good foundation but helped me be very competitive! I have always been in the top four but finally won the championship this year!

RAdam12Entertaining and InsightfulGreat daily listen to keep updated on the fantasy baseball landscape and what’s going on around the league. The topics covered offer a good jumping off point to look at which players to key in on and when. Also on a different note, my points league playoffs started Monday and really need judge to pick it up. Any way you could look into his two week stretch without a homer and mention how bad he’s been as of late? Seeing as you guys have a penchant for igniting hot streaks with players you criticize. Kidding of course as without him I probably wouldn’t be in the playoffs.
