XxStacksOnDeckAn amazing story guaranteed to capture and hold your attentionWhat makes this podcast so gripping is the way it tells their story. From battling storms to relying on each other’s trust, you’ll feel like you’re right there with them. ‘A Sea of Strangers’ is more than just a survival story; it’s about the power of human connections when the odds are stacked against you. If you love true adventures and stories of resilience, this podcast is a must-listen.

TweakyNerdNail biting, exciting, and excellent narrationI rarely listen to audiobooks or podcasts, but from the moment I listened to the trailer I had to know more. I listened to the entire four hours in one evening. I loved how Cameron Thurman was able to paint images and scenes with just words! So well done! Excellent continuity in character and event development. More important, in my opinion, was how Dr. Thurman was able to weave insight and life/spiritual lessons into the story. Also, even though I have never sailed or navigated waters, Dr.Thurman waa able to describe technical sailing terms i into relatable and digestible terms that painted 3d images and movement for me. This is a “must listen to”!!

XPP iPadAll of my attention for 4+ hoursI started listening and could not stop. This is a funny and gripping narrative, with heart, about a young and naive yet determined young man with dreams and courage to match. And, the antics are expanded by an international crew of two who both bring elements to the mix of adventure and laughs.

SC Chia GirlJourney of a LifetimeI enjoyed this podcast immensely! It was not only entertaining but captivating as well. The story of the voyage was full of life lessons. Not only will I recommend it to my friends but I will be listening to it again! I hope Mr. Thurman does complete a book because that is one I would look forward to having in my personal library.

Annie Ries ThurmanWonderful StoryI have been married to Cameron for 21 years and knew many of the details but hearing it all come together was amazing! I’ve always loved the part about how Hiroki’s Mom came to Hawaii. Cameron and I have an 18 yo son named Tristan, named after Tristan Jones. Cameron’s Mom passed away in 2015 when Tristan was 10. Every day since Tristan has been a teenager I wish that I could talk to Cameron’s mom about how much anxiety I have raising a Thurman boy! I can’t imagine how stressed his parents were when he went on that voyage!

BigSurBeatGreat Story!Captivated by the storyteller as much as the story. The tale shines on the paradox of your dreams coming true while you get to folly through the days of life.

Jefferson2231Superb!What an amazing story, and superbly told with blending of the narrator, actors, and the actual survivor! Cameron is an outstanding storyteller, and so credibly courageous and humble. Incredible story of three very-different people coming together to save each other and persevere.

Jani-bugFascinating StoryCameron is such a good story teller. I felt like I was there with him and his crew on the Lillie Noe as they sailed through 25 foot waves. I love the way the story unfolds. Three totally diverse men who began the 45 day journey in a 32 foot sailboat from Hawaii to Japan. They overcame their differences to become an incredible team who survived a storm that could and most likely should have killed them. The most amazing thing about this story is how today Cameron uses the Lillie Noe experience to teach medical students and residency doctors that it is not about them, it is about their patient. I wish I had more than 5 stars to rate this podcast. It’s a fantastic story and Cameron is a remarkable young man.
