Food & Wine has led the conversation around food, drinks, and hospitality in America and around the world since 1978. Tinfoil Swans continues that legacy with a new series of intimate, informative, surprising, and uplifting conversations with the biggest names in the culinary industry, sharing never-before-heard stories about the successes, struggles, and fork-in-the-road moments that made them who they are today. Each week, you'll hear from icons and innovators like Daniel Boulud, Guy Fieri, Mashama Bailey, and Maneet Chauhan, going deep on their formative experiences, the dishes and meals that made them, their joys, doubts and dreams, and what's still on the menu for them. Tune in for a feast that'll feed your brain and soul — and plenty of wisdom and quotable morsels to savor later. New episodes every Tuesday.

    Journalism at its best
Granted, I am a foodie and Food & Wine subscriber, but this podcast significantly exceeds expectations. Kat is a high energy, knowledgeable, entertaining host who asks phenomenal questions of her guests. We learn so much about the origins of creative types, their family life, relationships with food, and foundation for their craft. I listened to Season 1 while commuting to the office and fell in love with the podcast. Highly recommend to all people who enjoy great interviews with interesting people. Keep doing great things Kat & Team.

    Love this!
So entertaining, but also really joyous and we get to hear the humanity of our favorite chefs! Just such a positive bright spot in my day!! Thank you for this wonderful podcast!❤️

Inspiring stories from the food world
I am a foodie and not a food industry professional. And it has been enlightening and inspiring to hear from the chefs I see and hear about. And what amazing people and stories that have to share that we can all learn from. Would love to hear more about vegetarian and vegan chefs and the world of vegetarian food.

    Best Daniel Boulud interview!!!
Wow, Kat, merci infiniment for this SPECTACULAR interview!! I’ve been fortunate to know DB for almost 30 years, and this was the best interview I remember hearing—plus stories I had never heard before, told so beautifully by Daniel in what clearly a comfortable place. That roses 🌹 story—whoa!! I never knew that!!! 🔥 Ariane Daguin!!! Also—attention “food people” everywhere! This episode is akin to an American gastronomic history lesson!! An absolute MUST LISTEN!! Bravissimi, Kat & DB!

    Fantastic interviews about food
Well done interviews with people in the food and restaurant business. Excellent and informative questions and great guests. Audio quality on episode with Padma was poor so advise them to make sure all interviews have excellent sound quality.

    Thank You
Can’t wait for season two. I do not drink alcohol, but final episode with Ray Isle helped me understand better why my husband and son and daughter-in-law love to go wine tasting.

    I ❤️ Kat Kinsman
She’s such a charming interviewer. Not embarrassed to fangirl (Madhur Jaffrey episode is so good). She’s super empathetic. And she’s got such good rapport with her guests. Please keep the episodes coming.

    Intimate and real
Kat has an incredible talent for getting her guest food personalities (many very famous, some less so) to open up and show sides of their truest selves not normally heard in interviews.

    New Favorite Podcast
I have yet to find a piece of KK content I didn’t love (even the Instant Pot situationship had me invested). This podcast is fun, witty, soulfully sincere, and the conversations are exactly what I want out of a thoughtfully executed interview. Getting to hear who guests were when they were ten has opened the door to let me grapple with my own food experiences at that age—many of which involved a lot of picky eating at home juxtaposed against a fascination with the exciting food and people featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives (that really only existed on my television screen). To hear Guy’s story after all these years felt like a full-circle moment for my 10-yo self. Keep them coming, please!

    Fantastic!
To hear the highly emotional intelligent and empathetic Kat Kinsman talk to chefs of different backgrounds is so inspiring, I always look forward for the next episode to be announced. This has become a staple on my podcast list!

    Great storytelling!
I love hearing chefs tell the kind of insider stories you never hear about. And, it’s just a very fun listen.

    The Heart of the Matter
I enjoy restaurants and cooking as much as anyone, but I’m in this for the humanity and insight that comes with every episode. More of this, please.

    Terrible audio
Awful audio for episode 7! Very difficult straining to hear Padma. Definitely expect better sound and production quality

    Seriously? David Chang?
Another day, another food media company participating in the rehab of David Chang’s image. This is pathetic. Kat Kinsman, I thought you were better than this. Why platform someone who willfully partnered with Pete Meehan and caused his employees such turmoil, only to claim ignorance, cry alligator tears and hide behind empty platitudes? 🗑️

    I’m a regular!
Four episodes in and I’m hooked. Love the intuitiveness and the empathy. There’s a lot of chef interview formats so it’s of course welcome to be delighted by Tinfoil Swan. Thanks Kat!

    Love this new podcast!
You hear interviews with these guests all the time but nothing goes this deep. I had no clue that Guy was trained in France! Just a really cool podcast and Kat has such a good energy!

    Great style
I enjoyed Kat’s style in a prior podcast she did, and the first episode of Tinfoil Swans did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to more episodes.

    Guy is so interesting
What a great first episode! This is my new morning walk buddy every week.

    Fantastic
This was so enjoyable. I love the food industry. To hear stories from behind the curtain being a chef myself, having unreal experiences through my career is a joy to listen to other peoples stories. What a great industry and podcast.

    Loved It
Yes, we’re only one episode in but Kat’s energy as always in perfect and you need someone like her when Guy is guest 1. It’s going to be great to see where this show goes. Kat’s intimate knowledge of the industry and her ability to instantly connect with someone should make this a must listen pod. Good luck Kat. Thanks for doing this.
