    Decent podcast
The guy seemed very open to all opinions on the show and seemed like he genuinely wanted to discuss his opinions. The girl host however seemed very close minded and wasn’t very fun to listen to. Bland and negative.

    Ehh
The Girl co-host doesn’t have a clue.. I feel she just watches and takes no notes and just talks about what she remembers.. smh I like the dude tho

Brilliant on every level. Have we watched the same series?

Great show! Whether you loved or hated The Idol
I loved listening to this while watching The Idol. The show def made me uncomfortable at times 😳🫣 so it was fun having Deric and Marla break it down. I also loved the dynamic - with Marla as the self-proclaimed prude, not afraid to tell us how she's feeling, while Deric was always open-minded, trying to analyze and give the benefit of the doubt. This made for a great team. Can't wait to see what they do next! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Nothing to add
The hosts were uneducated about basic facts of what happened in the episodes and references. You don’t know My Sweet Lord by George Harrison ? Seriously you shouldn’t be covering this show. I learned nothing new that I couldn’t already glean from watching.

    World Class Pod!
I’m loving the banter between Deric and Marla. This show is heavy, so I appreciate the folks who feel up to the challenge of breaking it all down and helping me further analyze what i’m seeing beyond all the shock factors!

    Bad show, nice opinions
I appreciate this podcast because I could only get through the first two episodes. The show is so cringy to me but I was curious to see where this went. I appreciate Marley (sp?) and her unapologetic nuance throughout the episodes

    Little bits of humor
The episode talking about Sam Levinson involved with Transformers has me cackling at work lol

    Marla is not a buzzkill
Really appreciating this review of a difficult to watch show. The takes are nuanced. You don’t have to LOVE something to cover it - the critical lens is warranted.

Double fantasy - John Lennon and Yoko Ono
I am glad for a podcast about this show and I like a lot of your observations. But there is an ignorance. Maybe too young to recognize some references but when in doubt, look it up! The John and Yoko comparison is important to the story in this episode. History goes back farther than Prince!

    Wow what a great listen!
I have really enjoyed this podcast! Deric is a great host and the takes have been super interesting. 10/10 would recommend. Also he definitely knew who Sharon Tate was……

Deric is a good host and tries to steer the conversation, but Marla is not a fan of the show and it’s a buzzkill. Why join a podcast to talk about a show you don’t like?

Do it bother with this podcast…
These two are so bland, and do not even know who Sharon Tate was! Don’t even let me rant about what little they knew about Prince OR Darling Nikki.

    Deric needs a new partner
I enjoyed listening to Deric, he’s watching the show with an open mind. Marla is the worst, close minded, she brings no substance to the podcast. I feel Marla girl hates.

    Hilariously funny
Great chemistry. Not my favorite show on HBO, personally but appreciate the humor they bring to the commentary.

Too young to have a podcast
They didn’t know who Sharon Tate was. They couldn’t identify an Israeli accent They add nothing to the discourse
