One of the best on Dateline’s channel
Easily one of the best Dateline pods. Keith is the GOAT, no other host can match him. Absolutely worth a listen!

    Keith Morrison Rocks!
I always love the episodes when Keith Morrison is the host. Not to take anything away from the other hosts, but it is just the way in which he narrates is just very different and very interesting.

    Keith
I didn’t know that I desperately needed to hear the dulcet-tones of Keith Morrison say “Bawitaba”.

    Amazing!
Very well paced with unexpected twists. The life along narration and introduction to knew people is very well placed. Awesome! 10/10 would recommend!
  • Scotland4Me
    Drawn out and lacking resolution
No presentation of DNA processing by the unidentified person. How very sad for the family

They hounded some guy without any proof
I usually love true crime and specifically anything Morrison does but I can’t believe he validated the accusations against some man without any evidence. It’s embarrassing and it’s shameful. They ruined this man’s life. The accused had no money and he had no wiles. He participated in interviews, depositions and lie detector tests because he thought he should. He had no representation. The opposing lawyer said the only reason he participated must have been because he enjoyed it. They played the audio. He was badgered and was obviously not enjoying it. I can’t believe Morrison went along with this narrative with zero evidence. And let a poor man who couldn’t afford a lawyer get destroyed like that. They were chuckling at the guy.

    Engaging!
I liked the pace of this one and didn’t find it as bloated as some of their other ones (Murder and Magnolias is just terrible for that). Cool podcast and recommended.

    Confused
Story is kinda dumb because there a lot of things they can solve the mystery with easily

    Drawn out
I think this could’ve been a regular episode with maybe 2 parts? From the evidence that was presented in the episodes, the verdict doesn’t make sense. Wasn’t enough evidence 100% towards the suspect. Love everything Keith Morrison.

    Mehh
Good production as always but literally each episode sounded the same. Is he guilty, is he not, family suffering, etc. with no resolution. It was like beating a dead horse. It could’ve been left alone with a 1.5 hour episode.

    Unsatisfying
Too many questions not answered. A disappointing switch in focus in the middle, that urged me to sympathize with a different character and leave the rest behind. Terribly sad and depressing aspects with no resolution. Kinda like life, huh?

    Wow
This story was gripping, shocking and devastating. Those poor parents. I just can’t imagine all they’ve been through and they are still standing.

    I haven’t listened yet but…
I watched a new show about this when I was younger and never got to find out how it ended, I’m kinda glad I was able to find a way to get my ending, it’s probably not over yet but I’m happy my love for true crime is going to help me solve a childhood mystery

    Inappropriate Way of Storytelling
I couldn’t even get through the first episode.. I love Dateline and this story has the potential to be riveting. But, the way it was told from the very beginning made me uncomfortable. The writing about a PERSON who was murdered made it seem nonchalant to the point of being disrespectful. 2 stars for the story and Dateline itself. 0 stars for the writing.

Not Sure It’s Worthy Of A Series
Interesting story but they really drew it out to make it a series and then it ends without great resolution.

    Unanswered question
Michelle O’Keefe had unidentified DNA under her nails/on her person. Has anyone checked the DNA of the carjacker from Victoria’s car?

    Great!
Keith Morrison is great! Just the way everything is described. I loved everything. I was teary eyed towards the end. My heart goes to the family and to the man that holds no grudge.

    Sad for the family but..
Sad story and so sorry for the family, but the narration is brutal as people say- the platitude of the narrators’ descriptions of random things such as the weather or court room lighting are annoying. I understand painting the picture but no need in context of the story, and no conclusion. Bait and switch. Much better true crime podcasts out there.

    Fantastic!
This podcast was top notch. The writing, editing and production is some of the best I’ve ever listened to. Keith Morrison’s narration is stellar.

    Excellent!
How refreshing to listen to a true crime podcast without having to listen to the speaker’s obvious bias. Keith Morrison and the authors told the story using facts and not opinions. I don’t want their opinions and told what to think, like so many true crime podcasters. I want to listen and decide for myself. Btw, even though I’ve followed this case for years, it was as interesting as if I hadn’t. Go listen!

    Good Story/Bad Sound Effects
Usual quality content from Keith and the dateline team! I tend to prefer stories with tidy endings but sometimes life doesn’t go that way. The one thing that makes this really hard to listen to are all of the ringing phones and phone notification sounds. It brings me out of the story every single time. Please reconsider using phone notification sounds for background- they give this millennial serious anxiety

Always love a great story told well!
Great reporting and I enjoyed all of it! As usual!
  • Haegan.lee
    Eh..
I love the Dateline podcast. Mainly because there is usually an ending of true resolve. Not the case with this story. I understand that not all stories have a great ending. But I feel like there are many other stories they’ve covered that would be much more worthy of their time. If you’re gonna dedicate 6 episodes to one story, let it be one in which the listener is left with closure.

Don’t talk to cops without a lawyer.
Ever. I don’t understand the slant of this podcast at all. Very bias, no evidence…

    Go Dateline
But there are tons of podcasts! I’ll watch for free on my dvr ! Always love Keith’s voice! Just a note: this is a show…It’s not church, it’s not waving the Stars and Stripes, it’s not physc 101, it’s not court tv! It is informative and entertaining (life, happiness, sadness, spirituality, Justice, good and evil)! Sadly, it IS a piece of how our sad judicial system works! So, better than most, but complicated and confusing! We know we should do better! We must find answers-that’s why 1/2 the country (no science, just picked a number!) is hooked on true crime! It’s fascinating and emotionally charged, and at the end of a show, we say, wow! Oh my! Thx
  • Stick to the subject
    Waste of time
Don’t waste your time, the story makes no sense. Disappointing.

    Love Dateline but….
Just once I’d love to hear Keith offer an apology for his obvious glee when someone gets convicted and then totally exonerated. It was painfully obvious at the end that Keith believed Ray actually killed Michelle. Ray, a Gulf War veteran and American patriot. Who basically lost everything and still isn’t bitter. I’m giving this 4 stars for the story telling but 0 stars for Dateline’s refusal of accepting a judges opinion and full exoneration of an honest, American patriot.

    Case from Home
I really wish Michelle’s death would be investigated again. Thanks to Dateline for covering in several times. For everyone waiting, episode 6 is the final episode and is available:)

    What happened to Episode 7?!
Hey Dateline please upload Episode 7!

The Girl in the Blue Mustang
Why the heck did I listen to 20 years of a case that has no definitive solution? What a frustrating waste of time.

    Can’t take it seriously
This is about a murder but the narrator’s voice sounds like he’s doing a comedy skit. I can’t take this seriously.
  • Uriarteh
    Interesting Story
Good narration and explanation of the case. Sad for the family, but educative about the current justice system.

    Last episode 7?
Loved it, but would love to hear the last episode!

    Great Podcast
Great story by one of the best storytellers in the business. I was hooked from the very first episode!

Sad but yes, there is a heaven
It’s very sad story for Michelle’s family, as well as for Raymond Jennings. As a Christ follower, my greatest respect to Raymond Jennings for his complete trust in God, even if he were to die in prison while still trying to prove he was being truthful, in spite of the deck being stacked against him. We live in a broken world because of man’s sinful human nature. Yes, heaven is real; what a promise and perfect world we get to step into when we pass from this imperfect life into eternal life on our physical death.

    Review
    Enjoyed this podcast, listened twice.
  • VALLEY LOW
    Innocent
This was very good. I honestly didn’t think Raymond committed this crime. Where was the DNA testing??? It is so unfair to families when police don’t investigate further. They are so wounded and vulnerable and will often accept anything believing that justice is being served.

    Great
Holy crap the last minute got me good. So sad.

Don’t be tricked by the reviews
As a person who is known for being truthful I think the reviews are fake I watched all episodes for free and didn’t have to pay for anything don’t listen to the reviews there is a lot of liars on the internet don’t listen to ANYONE you don’t know hope you don’t get tricked again have fun watching the podcast I think it’s pretty good

Keith Morrison’s narration kills this podcast
There was an excellent podcast to be made from this case. This is not it. Keith Morrison talks about murder in the same tone he’d use to talk about a grand prize-winning zucchini at a county fair. The yarn-spinning grandfather approach is wildly inappropriate for the subject matter. Morrison also has some questionable interviewing tactics. He often uses leading questions to get people to say what he wants. Sometimes he even tries to speak for them. More than once, he badgers grieving family members to get more sensational sound bites. In early episodes, he gets sidetracked into supernatural elements that add nothing and lead nowhere. They only add to the feeling that Morrison isn’t taking any of this seriously. Keith Morrison should stay far away from any podcasts dealing with subject matter more weighty than curiously shaped vegetables or the opening of a new children's museum.

    Life is a journey
Thanks Keith very well done! Sad story for everyone involved ! For parents to lose two children in such a terrible way! And still all involved has no hate in their heart ❤️❤️❤️

    Too…
Drawn out. This one could have been done in a single episode.

    DNA
What about the DNA under her fingernails??? Couldn’t they use that to test new suspects???

    Episode 6
    It won't play

    Keith Morrison is the Man.
It shows the intelligence level of our society when you read the reviews about having to pay for the last episode. All episodes are free and during the initial airing, were released weekly. If they thought they had to pay for the last episode their tiny brains were unable to comprehend that it was coming out the following week. With people like this in the world it really brings to light a fundamental breakdown in education. People are so greedy, needy, and entitled. Perfect example of how misinformation gets spread.
