    Uzi interview…
Interesting interview with Uzi…although nothing surprising. Rory, you always seem to articulate what is needed especially with regards to Palestine, right on the nose. Thank you for that. One thing you didn’t ask Uzi was what effect the Trump Administration may have on setting back the prospect of peace and a two state solution. I very much fear that he and Netanyahu will cause irreversible damage, as was done during Trumps first term. I am truly heartbroken for the Palestinians…they have suffered so much at the hands of the Israelis…for decades. The world knows the truth, while so many Jews remain willfully ignorant. Anyway, Keep up the great interviews…

    Better Guests
You should get better and more relevant guests. Hillary and Bill Clinton, Ian Bremmer, Michael Lewis, etc. are irrelevant and poor guest choices unless you just want to be part of the political establishment resistance to change.

    Bill Clinton Interview
Another excellent interview with a world leader offering perspectives on several topics. Whether one likes or dislikes Bill Clinton and his politics, it is definitely worth a listen. Well done!

    Great
Great show but come on guys, how do y’all not question DeLauro on the nomination process? I’m a liberal that’s absolutely disgusted how the DNC bigwigs chose their nominee without a democratic process and yet no one seems to care. If the RNC did this WaPo would be running headlines on the downfall of democracy. This is the first time in my life I will not vote for President, GOP died in ‘16 and DNC ‘24.

    Appreciate the interplay
I hated listening to David Urban. I know it’s important to hear all sides. I appreciated the attempted discussion. If only integrity mattered and basic science. Please don’t let spin become the norm. Fast talkers aren’t really listening and are hard to listen to. But show is definitely 5 stars.

    My favorite podcast
    Love these two together!
  • In the Wet
    In The Wet
When the hosts spoke of the desirability of giving youth more electoral weight, forthe Brexit vote, where they aware of Neville Shute’s book “In the Wet”where such a system was proposed, everyone got a vote , a second vote for having Degree, a third for speaking a foreign language etc etc up to seven, which, the seventh vote, was the equivalent of a Knighthood. I was ,for many years in the hospitality business in California, l mentioned to a patron the absolute clarity of Neville Shutes writing, the gentleman remarked that they were in the RAF together during the war and Shute had a very debilitating stutter, hence the literary clarity.. There was one line in the book that has remained with me for over 50 years, “I’m a four man vote models” l always imagined it said by Peter Cook. Enjoy the Podcast Calvin Wilkes

    The Lost Cause
The Latin quotation which Rory quoted as sent to him by Mr Kwarteng is infamous for being the inscription on the memorial to the U.S. Confederacy in our National Cemetery, and was recently dismantled because it was erected as a monument to the Southern “Lost Cause” narrative which has continued to hold such sway among right-wing racists here. I am dismayed that neither he nor Rory, who both claim such a love of history, know that — or if Mr Kwarteng *does* know that, it has more sinister implications.

    Rory’s pronunciation
Rory occasionally has really really weird pronunciation. Great interview with Caroline Lucas but her name is Ca-ro-line, not Kerin. Honestly it’s almost unlistenable because of that; it’s so annoying. You say it over and over again in the interview. Maybe Alastair can learn you to speak proper and train you to resist that bizarre kind of Etonian drawl. Apart from that, great job lads!

    Brilliant
Rory is a treasure. Truly grateful to him for entering a complex dialogue on Islamophobia with Sam Harris. Alastair and Rory showcase how to converse generously on controversial topics. ❤️

    Wonderful conversation with Angela Rayner
American here who pays attention to UK politics. Everything is connected, right? Your chat with Angela Rayner reminded me what a singular force she is. Positive, honest, working public servant who remembers the poor. God bless her. John in Massachusetts

    Angela Rayner Rocks!
Your interview with Angela Rayner is the best interview I’ve listened to so far among your very qualified and eminent guests. She was a breath of fresh air - sincere, straightforward and articulate. Her life story is very inspiring

    Great interviews
Especially love that after the Schwarzenegger interview you had what we call “the party after the party” - the two of you discussed it. It helped fill out the picture of Arnold.

    And occasionally pushing the edge
Terrific interviews- recent one with Kate Raworth one of the best showing the gap between business as usual and really transformational political vision.

    Not as good as TRIP
Not a huge fan of this spin off. Mostly AC fawning around left wing celebs. They don’t challenge their interviewee much. Disappointed they invited Gerry Adams on (terrorist) and treated him like a celebrity with various softball questions. Will they invite on the mother of the children murdered under Gerry Adams orders ?

    Rahima Mahmut episode
I was very stirred by Alastair Campbell’s informative interview. As an American living in Turkey it made me both proud and frustrated. Kudos. You were masterful yet tender at getting her to open up on a very important topic. Sleeping soundly at night will be a challenge from now on. Thanks for that.

👍 yes! What a need (!)to hear your conversations and information across the pond! I’ve been searching for just this information in podcast form. Political information and the sports (in slowing our pulse, in the understanding of being human). What a miracle you’re able to interview a person born in 1933 & with the life experience to share across the world instantly. More. More. More. Thank you! Three cheers!
