redaggie12I found myself innocent…On the chance Imogene is innocent, you ruined her image. Any feedback you learn from now won’t repair her career.

mgscottyOuting dopingIn your response to pro tri news. You said you felt obligated to report the story. That is strong arming Imogen. In your own words you said I had to report this, you left out whether you come out with it or not. Because that’s was your intent. You had an opinion to wait till the end result after appeals were settled and you chose not to. You have ruined Imogen’s career.

xczsehvxetjbuomcxeqq lolmvftkMake sure the guests sounds goodLove the content but in 2025 hearing a podcast of a conversation via zoom with poor audio seems like we are still living in 2020.

KeigancLost Me at Matt Fox“Unfiltered” and “Controversial” are descriptions you do want associated with hot takes on the show. However, left unfiltered, Matt Fox has found his own controversy. After uncovering his true character I personally rather avoid the things he touches and would classify the content he is associated with as smut.

hannahkgreenGreat Podcast, Subpar AudioJack! Love the podcast and all the work you put into it. Consistently great content and guests, BUT knowing how much you care about the listener experience & the fans, please consider upping the audio quality of guests on the show. I know there are a lot of logistics just to get these guests on the pod, but could we send some of these guys a mic? The show is sometimes really rough to listen to but I push through because I, like you, love triathlon & triathlon related content. Thanks for all you do for the triathlon world!

jftd88One of My Favorite PodcastsThank you so much Jack for your continued content. Wide ranging interviews and in depth conversations with pros helps me find inspiration and engagement with the triathlon community.

gingerbikesepisodes are too long, not well editedEvery now and then I come back to give this another chance - but 2 hour episodes are unnecessary and the content is just not worth the time investment. One of the episodes spent 20 min on a conversation amongst bros about if they’d seen their parents naked. Really not sure what the point of this pod feed is other than a vanity project.

Sharami44It’s time to do an IronmanWhat a great episode Jack. Thanks for opening up and being vulnerable, I think it could really help a lot of people including me. We’re all rooting for you

DerTriathletThe best Triathlon podcastRight now there is simply no better. Relevant, current content, deep dive, smart, somehow always has the perfect guest for the week/month on the show. Jack raised the level of professionalism for triathlon podcasts and I have listened to a LOT of them over the last ~18 years. The latest episode (8/5/2023) about the behind the scenes of the US Open is a great example. It had me glued to the speaker, I kept rewinding because I wanted to hear specific parts again, it had my laughing as well. Can’t wait for MORE

CurlyLkAwesome, TRIATHLON contentThis podcast has become my favorite for Triathlon content. I especially love the short course Triathlon hour with Hayden Wilde. I’m a fan of all distances and this is rare to have such a podcast. Specifically talking about short course Hayden does an outstanding job as an interviewer. If you like Triathlon you’re gonna love this!

FF5dissapointmentGREAT Triathlon PodcastJack is certainly opinionated, which I think is fantastic. He clearly cares a great deal about triathlon and makes every conversation interesting. One of the podcasts I listen to immediately when a new episode drops. I’m pretty sure the 4 negative reviews are just cranky members of the Messick family based on their timing.

Cydney!Jack asks the best questionsYou know those friends who always ask the most genuine and insightful questions? That’s Jack. It’s awesome!

Mythos PulseThe Jack Kelly showI found the initial episodes of the podcast quite engaging as they focused on meaningful discussions about training. However, as the podcast progressed, it seemed to shift towards being predominantly centered around Jack’s viewpoints. The discussions veered towards his personal opinions on various topics, including the thoughts on what Ironman and ITU should do and not do. He often presents his views as if he possesses exclusive insights into triathlon and the athlete community. This excessive focus on opinion leaves less room for a balanced presentation of factual information and sometimes gave the impression of prioritizing sensationalism over objective journalism, which he often mentions. Last , he tends to heavily use superlatives which can become tiresome after a while….

Matt__LNice Work Handling The Hard SubjectsJack, Nice work handling the very hard subject of doping in triathlon. I appreciate how you handled the wrap up and mental health discussion. As outraged as many of us are, we don’t want any other extremely negative outcomes to come from this situation. Just wanted to say thanks. 👍

No training steveNot interviews really.Either the host is star struck to an uncomfortable level or adversarial also to an uncomfortable level. Regardless of which, it s rather tiresome after a few episodes. A one trick poney really ( or more accurately a two trick poney). Regardless of that, he self proclaimed in depth knowledge of triathlon is also tiring. If you ve never been to Kona, how do you have such a deep understanding of that race??? Asking for a friend..
-
LeslitaSimoneThe one with Andrew MessickJack Kelly accuses Andrew Messick of not listening to “what the people want”, but Jack Kelly effectively does the same thing, repeating the recommendation of reduced cut-off times for all racers at the Ironman World Championship. Messick brings up older athletes taking longer and Jack Kelly wants them out! Not mentioned is consideration for athletes with disabilities, which clearly Jack Kelly -speaking for the people-would also eliminate from an IMWC to accommodate all the fast athletes who want to race in Kona and have no patience for slower athletes ruining their dreams. The host is confrontational and uncompromising. Not even interesting after a while-just arguing for the sake of arguing.

ciceromrRude interviewNo reason to be rude to guests when they don’t give you the answer you want. Poor interviewer skills.
-
Dongman310Condescending hostBiased interview skills.
-
Duff_in_triNo interrupting! 👏🏻Aside from the great guests and conversations, the best part about this show is that Jack actually let’s his guest speak! No interrupting, no background “yeah”s or “hmmm” from the interviewer like other shows. He’s asks a question and then sits back and lets his guest speak and truly listens. Bravo Jack, keep up the great work!

HawksPOD14SO goodAnyone that rated this podcast anywhere between 1-3 stars is just a troll that doesn’t understand triathlon. One of my favs!
-
Visc@B@rc@1The BestHands down the best triathlon podcast. The interviews are more like conversations and the questions, especially the follow up questions, are spot on to get to know the subject. Great guests so far. Good luck into the future!

CGAFL727Love this!A GREAT one to listen to. Sure, it covers training philosophy & methodology but also so much more. This quickly moved to my favorite & I’ve recommended it to other people. I like it so much that this is the first review I’ve ever written for a podcast. Best wishes from Florida!
