    Best Fictional Podcast
I absolutely love this podcast. It is original and had me sitting on the edge of my chair. I sincerely hope there is a 2nd season and I hope they maintain the same quality.

    Great Podcast
I heard the advertisement for this show many many times on other podcasts, and it was so annoying that I started to get angry every time it came on and I thought I would never want to listen to it. Then I found the show one day and didn’t connect it to the ads I’d heard. Long story short, it’s a great story, great narrating, great producing. I love it! Don’t be put off by the annoying ads 😅

    Really enjoyed this one!
I spend a lot of time on the road so finding a good podcast or audiobook is great for me. This was a great mix of the two! Wild love to see a second season or another case!

    Meh
You had me interested until the writers thought it wise to casually mention the privilege of being a white girl who gets pulled over by the cops.

    Realm Strikes Gold Again
Yet another realm success! Great if you’re a fan of serial, murder mysteries, or the thoroughbred racing industry. I’d definitely listen to a season 2 about Delilah and the St. Franklin society !!

    Some good points
A fairly good mystery, but the voice acting is pretty distracting. I’m sure it’s really hard to sound casual and nonchalant while voice acting, but these actors sounded like that episode of The Office when they pretend to be in a southern murder mystery. Purposely overacting. The Redditors- so cringy. Spoilers ahead. … … … I’m also getting tired of the “crap on the white American guy” trope, but after trying out several Realm podcasts, it’s clear I won’t find anything different from their content. Three stars for interesting, original content. Minus one star for over acting and one star for political pandering.

Excellent writing, performance and sound effects
Radio drama revival at its best, esp if you love a mystery like I do but don’t want it to venture into horror. The romance is a tiny bit weak legged, but I was invested in it and since most of the time the story is devoted to the mystery itself this was easy to forgive. They did their KY/horse racing homework. What I appreciate even more is the way critical issues like doping, addiction, and wrongful incarceration are artfully woven in in a way that educates the audience without banging a drum or taking away from the story at all. Really well done show. Thank you Dead Air team and all at Realm!

    Excellent performance
Extremely well performed. I really enjoyed it.

    Excellent!
Super fun story— very well done.

    Godawful
The kind of main character you’d slap across the face repeatedly.
  • Kolt Drews
    Wrong format
Should’ve been narrated as if we were listeners to her radio show. As it is now, it’s just her narrating her own actions like an audiobook which makes it very dull and non immersive.

    Great podcast
My sister recommended the podcast to me and I have recommended it to other family members. I love listening to a new episode each week. The storyline is intriguing!

    Room to Improve
UPDATED to 4 Stars Comes across as a Southern Nancy Drew in a post-Veronica Mars era, aimed at teens. Meaning it’s not bad, but it could be better. The actor does well except she sounds way older than she’s supposed to. It works when she’s voicing other characters - but less so as the lead, who’s in her early 20’s. Spoilers ahead: * No idea why the main character is obsessively paranoid about being assaulted, from the very first episode. There seems to be no logical reason as to why. It’s annoying, but it’s also a really negative message of unhealthy fearfulness (there’s no follow through on making her stronger except using her real name?! Come on, now). The whole “clueless person solves a crime no professional can” has been done better by other podcasts, but again - as of Episode 9 the narrative improves. Overall, this is growing on me. I look forward to eventually hearing more from the writer and actor.

This is my favorite realm podcast!
Warning...extremely addicting!! I couldn’t stop listening! This is by far the best podcast I have heard and I have been listening to podcast for 3 or 4 years now daily. This podcast made work go by extremely fast. I’m not sure who played Makenzie, but her voice is perfect for podcasting!

    Interesting story irritating main character
I’m continuing to listen because I love mysteries, but i can’t stop rolling my eyes at the narrator’s character. I find her so self-absorbed and transparent; she’s off putting.

    Addicting beginning to end
A true crime obsessed podcast host diving into a murder and maybe also falling in love? Exactly what I never knew I needed.
  • wjwaldron
No offense. I have no empathy for the reader for the story. It is shallow
    Very shallow

Cold case? Check. Reference to all of my other favorite true crime podcasts? Check.
True crime shows are my jam, and really loving using this as a basis for a fiction podcast! As someone who is familiar with Louisville, also love the setting there and all of the characters which remind me of home. Intriguing, scare, and weird (plus horse-lovers beware…)
