SibylofSoundValidatingThis podcast has brought language and perspective to many of my life experiences. I started with episode 33 and am working my way through the “cult”ure series which is fascinating, informative and quite frankly, essential.

MtweltyEssential listeningFull disclosure: since the end of season two, when I was a guest on the pod I have become friends with Candice. That said, this podcast has changed my life. The exercises in season one, helped me make a major life decision. Hearing such meaningful and insightful personal stories in season two. and finally, deeply learning about and transforming my conditioning and experiences in groups and relationships with strong cult dynamics. Candice brings her strong, intellect, sharp eye and deep compassion to every episode. The upcoming season 4 I believe will be essential listening for those of us in the US and other countries with oligarchic, authoritarian leaders. From this first episode, I can sense how we will learn how to build community, resist oppressive forces and create a country less divided by listening to this podcast and engaging together in Patreon. Candice will guide us to best understand our own psychology, the psychology of groups and how we can bring more understanding and compassion to ourselves and to others and hopefully make meaningful change in our world.

FitnessPro6520The Deeper Pulse with Candice SchutterIf you’re into echo chambers and white women lecturing other white women about their inherent guilt, then The Deeper Pulse is your dream podcast. Candice Schutter takes what could be valuable conversations about personal growth and turns them into repetitive sermons on systemic racism and DEI dogma. She’s so deep in the far-left ideological rabbit hole that presenting actual facts or a differing perspective feels impossible—you’ll just get talked over or dismissed. It’s frustrating because, beneath the lecturing, there are bits of solid content and education, but they’re overshadowed by her relentless need to shame her listeners into ideological submission. If you’re someone who loves focusing on identity politics and being told how to think, this is your vibe. But if you still have your brain in your head and prefer intellectual curiosity over self-flagellation, save yourself the time and find a podcast that values actual dialogue.

WrensMusicSaying the quiet parts out loudI’ve been closely following the discussions around the “culty” aspects of wellness since January 2020, mostly through various podcasts. The pandemic brought into high relief that I would begin a journey of untangling myself from the spiritual bypassing, grifting and magical thinking of the world(s) within which I turned (and in some ways still do) for many, many years as a massage therapist/educator, so-called natural therapeutics specialist, dance fitness instructor and daughter of hippies including a former Scientologist. What has been specifically helpful from The Deeper Pulse is the direct and specific connections I have with those who are or have been in one of the same groups as me. This has been very confirming and clarifying and I appreciate the bravery of all involved.

Lily121212My old life coach!Candice was my life coach over a decade ago when I lived in Portland, OR. My naturopath was helping me through a bout of depression and life decisions, and wrote me a prescription for a few herbs and supplements, as well as a life coaching session with Candice. She knew I needed more than just herbs to help me heal. As my life coach, Candice was realistically encouraging, kind, gave direction, and was supportive in a way that I had never found through traditional therapy. She helped guide me to continue my education and take a leap of faith to move to Maui in 2012, something I still hold as one of my major life pillars of growth. Since we were out of touch after my move away, I was overjoyed to learn that she had started a podcast last year! My best friend from Portland recommended it to me randomly, and we both laughed when I told her of our past connection. I have been an avid listener since and caught up to 34 episodes in a few months. I love her real, raw, yet calmly delivered story telling. She manages to explain without exploiting. She explores multiple concepts without telling us “how it is.” There are a lot of contemplative moments that I’m able to connect with, also working in the wellness and yoga community, and I adore her insight. After all these years, it’s wonderful to see that she’s still on the right path: helping others, while staying true to herself along the way. Thank you Candice!!

Tony CatDeeper PulseBeing involved in the Org, and still practicing I have enjoyed the insights from Candice perspective. Her guests have been fansinating to listen to. How do we identify the cult in the different activities we may engage in? This program explores that. I would recommen giving it a listen.

marvelous dstrattonGratitude and AppreciationI have a deep and personal connection with each guest as well as Candice, even if it’s just through the ethers of the podcast. The world seems so small and like I am visiting with an old friend when I listen.
