The Tree Thinking Podcast

23

What is an arborist? How do you define safety on your crew? What is your strategy for selling tree work? Are trees sentient beings? And why is it, that wigs and aerial rescue don’t mix? Through a mix of deep dives on individual subjects, getting out and field testing our equipment and interviews with the people that make up our industry; Tree Thinking will answer these questions and many more. As we try to understand the tree world around us on: The Tree Thinking Podcast.

    Bring on the trees
I am really digging the tree episodes in particular. Reprieve from politics and people and great overview of the mechanics and behavior of the trees. Dig the other episodes as well. Podcast is light but not too fluffy. Thanks guys!

    Great informational podcast
I thoroughly enjoy listening to this podcast on my way to work. I own a very small tree company just outside of St. Louis Missouri. While there is no substitute for experience, I know that I have been able to really step up my game with the information that this podcast provides. I enjoy the stories that the cast share and the overall structure. I always look forward to hearing what Jake the Rake has to say when he is on.

Give it a listen! Fun and educational.
Great podcast with informative discussions and guest. Round table format similar to hanging out in the shop on a Friday after a long week of tree work. From consulting arborists with vast experience like Scott D Baker to 2005 world tree climbing champion Dan Kraus, each guest brings a different angle to the discussion. With a growing catalog of subjects and receptive hosts your bound to learn something or hear your favorite subjects from the world of arboriculture discussed. Chris PN1839A

Come for the trees, stay for the pro raking tips
What can I say…it’s raaaaaddddd man. Having been raised on a tumbleweed farm myself, it is refreshing to see some representation of my people on a pod. No disrespect to Cory, but pac talk bold is better than you think man. No more syncing headsets every morning…but I digress. I better go finish work…I’m a contract saw fuel and oil technician. It’s a very important job, but I don’t have to tell you folks. You know!

    Reverentially irreverent
This podcast has it all. Trees, climbing, laughing, raking, stools... a great perspective wrapped in hilarity coated in experience. The shows are loaded with tangents twisting and turning finally forming a gnarly sprawling structure like a great Quercus Garryanna silhouetted against a dramatic valley sunset.

    Thank you
Thanks for putting together a great podcast! During Covid it is hard to get out and meet new people in the industry as plant walks and publicly open trainings aren’t occurring. This podcast has filled that void nicely by keeping me learning new things and staying stoked to look at running a tree care company, climbing, hiring, consulting, etc with fresh eyes. What a treat during my consulting runs! Not only informative, but humorous as well. Really appreciate it gents and lass!
