Larry MaserRate of speakingThe content is awesome and I love it! A suggestion for improvement however: slow down the rate of speaking, i.e. you are speaking so bloody fast, swallowing words and skipping or garbling many sounds, that I struggle to understand. Please, slow down so an aging American can understand and enjoy your accent! And thanks for all the research and thought that clearly goes into the podcast!

IceInTheVeinsVenicePlease take up the economics of Venice, Italy. It has a population of 60,000, is visited by 14 million people a year, 10 million of which come by cruise ships, and yet hosts an impressive array of luxury shops. Who frequents them? How does this all work?

JJJ888EEEFact checking isn’t economicsFact checking on things the world does isn’t economics. Just because I talk about if an apple is better than an orange (or more specific how bad an apple is under the guise of just comparing it) doesnt make me a farmer.

563777366363763Great, however . . .This podcast is wonderful. I don’t enjoy how you run it solo, as other great pods I listen too have discussion between multiple, normally two, people. Having someone else to bounce opinions off of makes it more engaging for the listener. Also I need an episode on Indonesia, although i haven’t checked yet I’m pretty sure there isn’t. That’s all, love the pod!

ColersaGood but too fastIn like the information that is presented and the format, but the host talks so fast that sometimes I have to listen multiple times to understand and retain all the information. I wish he would slow down a little bit 😀.

Jessy CatterwaulShifting accent is too distracting. The narrator switches between the two types of “R” sounds that are used at the end of syllables constantly. Pick an accent and stick with it!

laurahdezartHard to digestSounds like I’m listening to a robot that’s lost touch with reality. “People are having less children, because it’s no longer economically advantageous to have them. As it becomes cheaper to use machinery, advanced economies will see declines in birth rates” I don’t think this is why people are having less children. I think it’s more to do with the increasing gap between costs of labor and costs of living than it is with child labor losing its spark. Employers rather buy a machine than pay living wages. Because of profits, that’s a more realistic assumption for the decline of birth rates. I’ve been listening to this podcast (and others) for a while now to learn a bit about economics but some eps are getting harder to digest.

GeekplayaI just can’t do it, the content is good, the narrator is…He’s so well spoken, but he ends literally ever sentence with an ascending note/pitch which once you notice is actually really distracting. I’ve never heard anyone who does this, I’m not sure if it’s a bad habit or something he was unfortunately trained to do.

ChgoLaw67Great PodcastMy only issue is that this podcast never reveals the name of the economist who makes these podcasts. Who might he be?
