I have been listening to this podcast for over a year. Start to finish. This is hands down my favorite podcast. I have been waiting to write this until I caught up (despite all the threats 🤣). Not only have I learned so much, these wonderful women have introduced me to so many amazing movies, shows, and music. They have made me feel like I’m part of their family. I love the banter and tangents. They have brought me so much join and laughter with this podcast. They are so authentic and personal it’s impossible for them not to warm your heart. I cannot wait to continue to follow their lives and all the witchy content. Also, I hope we get to hear from Fact Check Jake again someday in the future. xoxo

I’ve been a long time follower of these people. They used to be “my tea ladies” with the best tea and coffee substitutes. Not to mention my favorite “hot chocolate” herbal mix. Once the pandemic hit things were up in the air and they made this podcast and I’ve enjoyed it from the beginning. They are all funny, smart, and genuine. I’ve learned and laughed so much over the years. These ladies (plus Fact Check Jake) really brighten my week with their content. I even joined the Patreon to get all the fun extras. Now that being said noone is for everyone. But if you like magic, mythology, pop culture, philosophy, funny banter, and fun facts …these people and this show is for you.

I love this little fam with amazing chemistry. They never fail to make me laugh and see things from different perspectives; a genuinely great group of people 🫶

I used to look forward to listening to this podcast. Now it seems that every episode is just Leigh obnoxiously laughing over and making fun of Lori. As Lori tries to tell her stories and give her lessons an intoxicated Leigh doesn’t actually listen, makes out of pocket comments and then laughs at herself. I’m sad to say I can’t make it through an entire episode anymore.

I don’t really know how this podcast popped up on my Instagram algorithm one day (and then never again), but man, I am SO glad that it did!! I’ve always had a fascination and love for all things “Spooky Season”, 80s/90s nostalgia, movie facts, and mythology/lore, but I’m also a massive scaredy-cat. Halloween is my favorite time of the year, but the scariest movie I can watch is literally Hocus Pocus so I feel like I’ve always missed out on fully embracing the spooky spirit. And OHMYGOSH this podcast could not be more perfect for someone like me!!! I’ve now been able to enjoy and know the plots of all the cult classics

This is the podcast I look forward to each week! Leigh and Lori are so fun to listen to, I love their reviews and lessons. I’ve learned so much from them both! Highly recommend binging every episode if you haven’t yet!

I love this podcast and look forward to the new episodes. They pick fun and interesting subjects and I always enjoy the fun facts they share about the movies. These ladies are warm and funny and I feel like Lori and I could be soul sisters. We even share a birthday. Their Pittsburghese makes me homesick and if they are ever in my neck of the woods I would like them to come for tea in my 1950s kitchen and I will show them my vintage Halloween decorations. 😊

A witchy friend recommended this podcast so I decided to give it a listen and am very happy that I did! I have discovered so many new films, series, and music from this podcast that I probably would’ve never found if it had not been for this podcast. I love the mother/daughter dynamic, I wish I got along with my mom as well as Lor and Lei get along with each other! I’ve listened to every episode (only took a year to catch up! Haha) and I just heard the latest episode. I’m glad that you two have gotten more comfortable but maybe too comfortable… I really enjoy the podcast but I wanted to offer some constructive criticism (please don’t hate me!), there is too much burping. I’m not sure if the episodes are recorded in one go or if there is editing, if there is, can you edit out Lei’s burps? Or can she at least turn to the side when she burps so that the sound doesn’t go straight to the microphone? I don’t want to come off as rude but not everyone enjoys gross humor like loud burps. I hope you don’t hate me for saying that! I hope you take my feedback to heart and aren’t offended. I really enjoy the podcast and look forward to new episodes every Wednesday and Friday!

Uncle Bob’s has been in my top 5 for at least 2 years now. I love the lessons, even when I’m not much of a fan of the movie or show that is covered, these two find a lesson that makes it so much better! Thank you Lori, Leigh, Jake and little October for the window into your lives, it has gotten me to get up and do the dishes or vacuum (this transplant refuses to say sweeper) better than any other pod! Every reference to the ‘Burgh is appreciated! I think of yinz as I pass my Pittsburgh toilet every trip down my stairs. Nic Cage November, Jaws in the summer, recollections from Lily Dale & Ren Faires, Lor’s knowledge of plants and herbology & even Leigh’s inability to not swear make this podcast my favorite to come back to. Current bonus is every little coo from October!

I happened across this podcast for some lighter listening from my usual true crime. Man am I glad that I did! My daughter and I listen together on the way to our martial arts practice and she LOVES it. “Mom, they’re like us on our YouTube channel!” Hopefully one day we’ll be this good! 💕

Uncle Bob’s has to be my favorite podcast out there. Leigh and Lori are so funny and informative, and their show always leaves me feeling inspired ✨ Leigh and Lori will joke a lot about being stupid, but I’ve honestly learned so much from Uncle Bob’s! It can be kind of hard to find analyses on pop culture, film, and other media without being condescended to by some cinephile dudebro, but Uncle Bob’s has always been a refreshing joy to listen to. Leigh and Lori cultivate laughs while sharing their lessons with open hearts, and really make the listener feel included. If you like to laugh, cry, and learn a thing or two about all things magical and mythical then I cannot recommend Uncle Bob’s Magic Cabinet enough! :-)

I’m always on the hunt for good podcasts…but this is one of the only ones I’ve stuck with since episode 1. It’s been a wild few years & having Uncle Bob’s Magic Cabinet to tune into every week has been a complete lifesaver at many points for me. Thank you for all you guys do.

I met Lor and Leigh at an herbal conference in PA. Looked forward to seeing them every year until they stopped vending, and then Covid arrived. Found them again, offering delicious insights and critiques to movies and music I grew up with. I love the banter, and the addition of Fact Check Jake made it even better! I often listen more than once. I’m not a big horror fan, but even I can appreciate a horror movie after Leigh connects the dots for me. Listen in and enjoy!!

I found yall when My Mom had just recently passed away from Covid. Y’all’s relationship reminds me so much of my mom and I’s relationship! I don't have much more to say than that. These three add bits of laughter to your week while also making you want to sit in front of a tv and rewatch some of your favorite movies over and over again. They offer fresh takes to magic/ horror films and are sure to fill your heart with warmth!

I have listened to this podcast since the beginning and Leigh and Lori continue to get funnier and reveal amazing lessons from my favorite music and movies that I never would have delved into myself. They touch on topics ranging from hilariously outrageous to severely profound and still manage to really listen to their followers and discuss subjects offered up by the “fan club.” I’m obsessed ☺️

When I need a mental buffer from my true crime podcast backlog, I will go back and listen to all my old favorites of UBMC so I can have a light hearted laugh and rinse out the ol noggin of heavy stuff. I will start by saying that my mom has crossed over and I so enjoy the dynamic between Lori & Leigh. It very much reminds of my time with my mom. Also, the dialogue and movie details are fantastic!! I’ve listened to about 5 different episodes and have been recommending it to everyone around me. I just started at episode #1 today and plan to binge ALL THE EPISODES to catch up!!
