    Teeth need fixing
Who is going to tell Jackie about her husband? He def plays for the other team. So dorky and geeky. And she and busted teeth and big as legs. He def plays for the other team. Crazy how she judges everyone else and their looks and their life choices. While she and her sisters look the way they do. I get why she’s so hateful

    Best book club podcast
I listen to quite a few book club podcast and this is by far the best!! I love how it's such a diverse group of readers. They pick books that everyone likes and I love their perspectives. 10/10 podcast every time! I only wish it was more often.

    Not gargy, not pargy
Came from The Toast. This is not that. It’s insufferable.

    Appalling lack of empathy
A fellow reader sent me here and I cannot overstate how awful I find the way these women talk about authors. Even if you don’t like the book, cackling about it and poking fun at the author is never appropriate and makes me take none of you seriously.
  • Get your own thoughts
    Keep your politics to yourself.
We don’t need to know about your ridiculous mission trip. These women are brainwashed. I was looking forward to binging this podcast but 5 mins into the first episode the host talks about her mission trip to a country that shall not be named… haha you guys are really not that bright.

    Pls fix audio!!
It’s obvious everyone isn’t together and is using their own equipment for audio but it’s super apparent. Jackie’s voice is the most clear since she regularly is a podcaster but the rest of the girls’ audio quality and sound isn’t as strong so it’s really hard to listen to when some people’s voices are louder/clearer and then when Dana especially or Becky talk it sounds far away and faint. Margo this happens to as well. I’m blasting my headphones on full volume to hear them then going deaf the next minute when there’s laughter or someone else speaks 😭 listening in the car is super difficult too

    Terrible
I’ve tried to listen to so many episodes. I want to love it, but they just continue to miss on the discussion every time. Too many “book club” questions and not enough organic conversation about the book themes and topics.

Honestly maybe get A.I to take out all of the “likes” and “ummms”. It is unlistenable.

    Audio quality is poor
Good content but I had to turn it up to hear anyone but Jackie and turn it way down when Jackie would talk. Needs to be engineered better as it’s frustrating.

If you’re trying to find a book, look no further!!
Wow, where do I even start!? I’ve struggled getting back into reading as an adult. The Readheads has cured my woes! Not only do they select excellent books to read and discuss, but each member of the Readheads brings something different to the table. I enjoy the banter of Jackie with her two best friends from college, Dana and Becky, and her little sister, Margo. This group of gals brings a little bit of everything and their personalities mesh so well! I cannot recommend listening to this podcast and reading along with the Readheads more. It will change how you read and help you to think critically about the books you read too!

Jackie… queen. I love you but Margo doesn’t seem into this anymore and it’s annoying, so sorry.
  • Shakari Peingles
    Not intelligent
The only hosts with an intelligent thought on this show are Dana and Becky. Margo will kill off your brain cells and Jackie just attempts to indoctrinate you into maga.

    Book club
Like having a book club with your friends. I love listening to the different opinion of these girls!

    Love it!
Love the podcast and viewpoints from everyone on it! It’s helped me branch out from my normal Margo type books!
  • generally very good
    Like it overall
Very enjoyable listen but Margo can be frustrating more so on some episodes than others with likes, interruptions, negativity, “likes”…. overall I do like the format though and good to get book recommendations but know there will be spoilers (but they do say it’s a summary), appreciate the ladies and their discussion
  • Millenial Gal
    So fun!
Fun to have a book club at your convenience! Always a good mix of opinions and they get through a lot of questions, love!

    Jackie is a miserable wench
I cannot think of a more miserable, negative and insufferable human than Jackie. She has the worst takes on EVERYTHING. To think I used to find Margo annoying - she’s a delight compared to Jackie. I’m honestly embarrassed for Dana and Rebecca that they are even friends with and associate themselves with Jackie.
  • laurented13
    Constructive Criticism
I’ll typically listen to the episodes if I’ve already read the book being covered, I won’t go out of my way to keep up with their picks. I think it would be refreshing to have the person that chose the book lead the discussion - this feels a little like the Jackie show, with the others as guests. The conversation is usually overrun by Jackie’s opinions, and I feel like at times she talks over others. I’d especially like to hear Dana more - I trust her literary opinion the most. Margo is hard to listen to, since she hates anything that isn’t a YA romance. Also - make sure to give spoiler alerts in your episodes as you ruined A Flicker in the Dark for me (and many others, as evidenced by your other reviews).

    Love to listen
I love to listen to this pod after reading a book and feeling completely validated in everything I felt while reading the book. Everyone has a different opinion and it is so great!

    Margo stoooooooop
Listen I love these ladies but Margo has become insufferable. It used to be a funny bit when snitch didn’t like the book but now I feel like nothing will ever be good enough for her and she’s just disgustingly whiny, she also just brings nothing to the discussion other than complaining.

    Jackie O the kween
A readhead because of the Toast. Was already obsessed with Jackie’s takes and dry sarcasm, had to try out her other pod! The episodes are funny and interesting even if some of my personal opinions are different. Only critique is Margo’s comments sometimes seem to not be backed by reasons or opinions. Loove her and doesn’t warrant a knock in rating, and this maybe just isn’t the best podcast fit for her and that’s ok! overall obsessed w the pod:)

Love but please do not spoil other books!
Really enjoyed the It Girl episode and the premise of this show, I will definitely be listening to more episodes! The hosts bring great thoughts/opinions to the discussion that I enjoy hearing about. I do have to agree with some of the other reviews, please give us a heads up if you’re going to spoil some of the other books (A Flicker in the Dark). Not docking any stars for that but I hope future episodes give a good warning so we can fast forward and avoid spoiling.

Enjoy this podcast but there’s a glaring issue
I’m a 31 year old woman and I have been (and will continue to be) a Readhead - I’m a Dana stan. I don’t agree with some of the commentary but I find the dialogue entertaining and I enjoy different perspectives. However, here’s my issue: 40 books chosen & only 2 (I think) were written by non-white authors. I understand this isn’t my book club, but I think the audience is missing out on great content. With that being said, I have mostly positive experience with this podcast and I hope this one issue I have can be fixed going forward. Hope this message reaches the right person and is received as constructive and not bashing because that’s not my intention.
  • AMJ1948
Such a fun book podcast BUT
Lack of diversity of the books/authors is getting tired. Try to spice it up ladies and get out of your comfort zone of white authors please. It comes off a little fake before when you chose Why the Caged Bird Sing during BLM movement and nothing since.
  • Gamer1448
    Out of Touch
Hosts and Oshry come off as out of touch, oblivious to real-world problems highlighted in books. Analysis and opinions only through the lenses of their personal experiences comes off entitled and disconnected.
  • Saraaahhh987
Why would you spoil endings to other books?
As a new listener starting with the It Girl episode, you girls completely spoiled the ending of Flicker in the Dark. Not sure if this is something you commonly do in your episodes, but now I am weary to listen to any other episodes as you may spoil other endings to more books I haven’t read yet.
  • brennarossee
    Cute Book Club
I have enjoyed most of the readheads book choices so far! I sometimes have trouble finding a book I’ll like or keeping up with reading even though I love it. This podcast really helps me stay on track with at least reading one book a month and listening to different takes on it that I might not have thought of.

    My Favorite Girlies
I love how every single one of these girls have different opinions on books! It has allowed me to read a variety of different book genres that I never would have read otherwise. Obsessed with the Redheads!
  • IMadeYouBook
Lack of spoiler alert for other books
Guysssss please do not ruin the ending to other books during a different books episode. You didn’t even give a spoiler alert for people to fast forward before ruining the ending of Flicker in the Dark during the It Girl episode
  • nikkic0l3
    I really like it!
I’m the only one in my friend group who reads, so listening to this is great. I love getting other perspectives and it’s always nice to hear someone else who was invested in the same book. I would have given it 5 stars, but “Snitch” constantly interrupting, use of the word “like” and insistence on voicing her opinion first really brings the entire experience down. It’s so frustrating because the other girls have well thought out, funny thoughts that I’m actually interested to hear.

    Snitch has gotta go
I love Jackie of course and her friends are a great addition but Snitch always sounds so miserable. She almost seems like she is annoyed to be there. When Jackie asks her how she’s been she sounds like this is the last place she wants to be like she’s too cool and she’s simply gracing us with her presence. She sounds rude honestly. Even her opinions on the book are like pulling teeth. Every time she talks I get annoyed. Bring Claudia in her place instead please! Jackie and her friends are great though.

    Evergreen!!!!
I love coming to the Readheads when I’m looking for a new book to read! I just finished a book that you guys read in 2020 and the review still rings so true 2 years later. While I’m not always an up to date reader with the podcast, I love going down memory lane once I finish an older book!

    Snitch overusing LIKE
Snitch, PLEASE re listen to an episode so you can recognize that your use of “like” is UNBEARABLE!!!! Please do something about it. It actually ruins the episodes for me.
  • Bearpuzzle
    love/hate
Love the content and book selections, not a fan of ever hearing the word ‘tings’ again.
  • PaigeBeyo
4 stars for 3 of them
Does Margo even want to be apart of the readheads? Even on a book that was her choice, she acts offended by every question. Also Jackie asking her the question first and she’s always caught off guard. And she sarcastically says “thank you so much Jackie.” Just don’t do things you don’t want to do and don’t put your bad attitude into the episode.
  • SElizabeth21
“Everything I Know About Love” Episode
I really like this podcast because it seems to be one of a kind. However, the “Everything I know about Love” tension and negativity throughout the entire episode was almost too much to handle. Again, I think this a great podcast and I normally enjoy myself but the attitude presented in this one was frustrating and seemed to take over the entire episode.

    My favs
I love the dynamic between the four of you! Even if I haven’t read the book of the month, I still love to listen to your banter with each other. I am so excited to read “A Flicker in the Dark” this month. Please choose more thrillers/mysteries in the future!

    Newly obsessed readhead!
I’ve heard Jackie talk about this podcast for a year on TMT and finally decided to listen bc I’d heard of Run, Rose, Run and I’m obsessed!! The ladies have smart commentary and are hilarious. I love their dynamic and individual personalities. I’m going to go back and read a book they’ve talked about so I can listen to that episode!
