The Old Monk of DallasGreat show for rum enthusiasts and newbiesThis show was one of my first sources of information about rum when I started getting interested in cane spirits. The hosts are great, they interview a broad spectrum of many of the most influential people in rum, and I feel like I learn something or find something I want to try with every episode. Recommend!
-
TonyBeruSolid !If you are looking into deep diving in rum knowledge , conversation and community, this is it . These guys do a solid job and always look forward to the next episode . Very fun

derek c 123Thrilled to have found this podcastIt’s extremely rare for me to find a podcast and then binge so many episodes in such a short time. I apologize to my family who I have been neglecting. As someone trying to learn more about rum, I’ve found this format to be the most entertaining and educational at the same time. Reddit, YouTube and websites can only take you so far, but hearing real fans talk about rum as well as listening to interviews with renowned distillers is about as close as you can get to taking a distillery tour yourself. Looking forward to more episodes and catching up on old ones.
-
timbo098Really really goodGreat to hear two passionate guys talking about rum with other passionate people.
-
Ti' PonchAs John Would Say…“Fantastic!” In all seriousness, I love this pod. Many thanks to the makers.
-
Larry from OKThank you, sir, may I have another!I’m look forward to this podcast nearly as much as I look forward to trying a new rum. We’ll produced and purely enjoyable. Keep it up, gents!

A. FofanahThe Lord’s workBy far, the best podcast for spirits or wine in any category and I’m an advent listener to all of them. Once I started tuning into to this podcast I haven’t listened to anything else. You two have struck gold at the perfect time. The world is ready for rum again and your helping lead the way to unearth something that has always been extremely special. Will don’t feel bad Tennessee will soon get the picture, John keep telling dad jokes your not alone and guys thank you thank you thank you. If I didn’t live in New York I would pay you rent.

J prophetDeeply informative AND entertainingThis might be one of my favorite podcasts even if I didn’t care for rum - it’s that well produced, featuring two guys that really know how to put on a show. It’s like having two perfect drinking buddies beside you in a bar - serious experts in their field but friendly, funny and good natured so you never feel like a total n00b. They're also able to land one industry legend after another - really impressive insider perspective, often with amsuing anecdotes. I've doubled my rum knowledge and tripled my rum drinking appreciation through this podcast. My only wish: make the end-of-episode lightining Q

TikidrinkerPart of my rum journeyI fell in love with Tiki and realized early in my journey that I didn’t know squat about rum. I wanted to change that. I’ve listened to The Rum Cast since very near the beginning of the podcast and it has been one of my favorite podcasts that I listen to. Rum should be fun to learn about and to consume. The Rum Cast definitely makes it fun to learn about and to try the rum’s that they talk about. You should be listening to this podcast and you should tell your rum loving family and friends to listen as well.

Duke BrutusLandlocked BluesAs fun as it is to endlessly imagine of what all these rums taste, I’m in Kentucky. A rum wasteland (bar Total Wine). The recent best under $30 episode was great because the list was closer to what our selection is here. I’m still learning, but I’m learning at an incredibly slow-rate. Any chance you have to pander to us lost in the bourbon haze of the Bluegrass would be much appreciated.

Rum ConnectionMy favorite podcastI’m binge-listening the series from the beginning and each episode is better than the last. John and Will are a great team, production quality is excellent and their guests are incredibly informative. Not to mention the speed round! Rum Nerds unite!
-
QuinnE5Great PodcastI’ve been listening to The Rumcast for about a year now and love it. They have great guests in and has helped me expand my knowledge of rum! Can’t wait for more!

MusicPirate65Best Rum Podcast?Yes, easily. Top 10 podcast ever? More than likely. John and Will have really put together an amazing “program” that’s typically filled with information, insight, advice and laughter. Want to learn the difference between molasses and cane juice? Take a couple of well-placed digs at Bacardi? Make the perfect Mai Tai? Learn how to corral mint? Or step inside the world of fission yeast? This program has the range to do all that. The only thing that bothers me is that I’m all caught up and now I have to wait for new episodes just like everyone else. Enjoy!

Maj. DamageA Weekly Master ClassMy entry to rum was through tiki and I’ve fallen deep into the rabbit hole. Will and John have a casual and friendly rapport that makes their podcast is as entertaining as educational. I learn something new every show. My friends and family think I know a lot about rum, but I am functioning at a kindergarten level compared to these guys. Their guests are top shelf and I’m always left wanting more.
-
broberts71Love this podcastHands down the best podcast covering the amazing world of rum and the people that make and love it. John and Will are highly informative and a pleasure to listen to! Their interview style is entertaining and they have the knowledge to ask great questions of their guests. This is my favorite podcast and I look forward to every new episode. Keep up the great work guys!

MarisaMecurySecond time throughThis is a great show. After getting into rum I used this to increase my knowledge and now am listening to the episodes a second time through now that I have some context. -
Alexstrath1Incredible well doneWill & John - you guys are awesome. Thank you for being so content rich 😂 For real though these guys bring great education on rum with some of the best in the industry.
-
Crickets~So well doneFrom the selection of guests to the questions ranging from historical, biographical & technical, five stars. I have a little rum bar in the Midwest, and considered myself well-versed in the subject coming into it, though no expert. The context offered in these conversations has filled a lot of gaps for me. Thanks Will & John!
-
Truman777I know nothing John Snow…I thought of myself as the Rum guy around friends and family, and after listening to your podcasts I realized I know nothing… Thanks so much for opening my eyes to the real world of Rum and I cant wait to start tasting real Rums of the world! This is by far my favorite podcast and you guys do an excellent job interviewing who’s who in the world of Rum. Keep up the excellent work!
-
CatoistGreat Podcast! Will and John are entertaining hosts, and they’ve presented an awesome lineup of guests along the way. I’ve really enjoyed learning about and exploring different rum-making regions and brands that I would not have otherwise been exposed to. I’ve made quite a few rum purchases lately based on content from these podcasts and will gladly try more as I find them. Everything I’ve tried has been great, and it’s so nice to have the added background and context when trying something new. JJ - Bham, AL
