Shawn I just discovered your podcast a month ago and I am addicted!! I don’t do social media and have never listened to a podcast until coming across you on YouTube. I listen to you in my car and at home. Shawn thank you for your service to this country. However, this podcast is ‘your calling.’ You are a natural at interviewing these awesome people on your show. Your questions are so thought provoking and informative. You made me realize that I am completely clueless about what’s really going on in this world. I have experienced a complete shift in how I think and live my life. Please keep up the good work and keep the shows coming. As a black Caribbean (Jamaican) woman who immigrated to this country 42 years ago, I no longer recognize this America and now I understand why. I’m a Marine Corps veteran. I’ve been out of the loop for quite some time, and was told about your podcasts from a buddy. I just started listening to your podcast, and I enjoy the things you talk about, , and the guests you bring in. Sarah Adams, confirmed what I’ve thought all along. But the depth of what she talks about, is absolutely superb. Unfortunately, like you, my blood pressure is through the roof. The nice thing about me just starting to listen, is I have plenty of content from previous podcasts in your library to catch up with. This show has inspired me in more ways than one. It has given me multiple courses of action to combat my own demons and other life challenges. I don’t put experiences anywhere near that of the guests in n this show. I look at myself as exceptionally average, but the experiences and lasting effects of situations are still valid and real. Shawn’s nonjudgmental conversations, which draw out real truth, provides a learning platform that all Branches and first responder agencies and departments should implement. I am positive that they would get more out of and be more willing to listen to a show or two monthly, quarterly, whatever, instead of just mashing the “Enter” key to speed through some training on stress and resilience. Thank you Shawn for your service and continued dedication to your battle buddies on and off the “X”…ALL THE WAY!

Shawn, I really enjoyed the candid discussion with SECVA Collins. However, I was a little confused about the access to care struggle among Veterans that you and he were describing. Honestly, I haven’t had that experience at all. My care at the VA has been actually really good. I use the VA app and secure messaging to track all my appointments, medication refills, lab results, and patient records. I even connect my VA health record to my Apple Health app on my iPhone, which allows me to share necessary information with civilian providers as needed. I even have some extended upcoming travel, and the VA travel office rescheduled my lab test for another VA clinic across the country, and my provider appointment will be via telemedicine. I’ve used the VA behavioral health providers numerous times, and their care via telemedicine has been 10 out of 10. I’m more than happy to share the tips and tricks I use to ensure good access to care, but it’s not that complicated…I just use the tools they have and they work very well for me.

By far the absolute best podcast to listen to.

I have been a long time subscriber to the Youtube channel, along with Amazon Music. Great subject matter, and is very informative. The stories told from the operators and soldiers/marines, is very insightful, and puts a human voice to counter the soundbites and media bias. The mental health system in this country, especially with regards to our warfighters, is in crisis, please continue to highlight this issue!

After 26 years in the military, w/ an immersion in psychology, Human Learning & leadership…,I’ve followed many podcasts but none this real and down to earth. At no moment does one feel like you’re listening to a bloated self inflated advertisement. Just raw experiences of life to understand and grow. I’ve had many undefinable or explainable emotional moments in service, many many of these episodes by warriors and spiritual leaders have helped me better understand me… BLESS YA SRS for being dedicated and different. I start my day almost every morning 6 days a week with a big jug of coffee and Shawn Ryan. It’s just what I do. Plain and simple.

Sean keeps it real and respectfully gets the stories told by those who have them to tell. A true warrior and gentleman who we can all respect and appreciate.

Shawn has awesome guests. My favorite so far is Drago. This was just an awesome interview. Drago’s story was wonderful. His insights on communism and communist tactics should be a warning to all Americans. Thank you for your service, Drago.

This is by far one of the best podcasts I’ve ever heard. The content is relevant, not overdone, and Shawn lets the guests talk rather than dominate the conversation. He asks thoughtful questions and getting very meaningful answers about their lives which we can adapt to our situations. Highly recommended to all listeners.

Shawn, I have come to binge your interviews like I binge TV shows. Just this weekend I heard my 3 favorites thus far: Chris Beck, Nick “Machine” Lavery, and Lee Strobel. I love the importance you have added to your questioning about how people worship Christ. Your openness about your return to faith is refreshing. I, too, took a detour from my Christian upbringing and turned to alcohol for 20+years and experienced many heartaches, including my first husband being killed in an accident and later having my teaching certificate suspended for a year. In 2014 my 2nd husband left for a woman he met in AA. Two weeks after he left I laid the bottle down NEVER to drink again.. going on 11 years now. God met me right where I was, broken but healing! Thank you for your vulnerability in sharing your healing and your search for understanding and rebuilding your relationship with Christ. BTW I pray to all 3 Persons of God, depending on the prayer. Again, I enjoy your podcast and tell lots of people about it! It would be so cool to sit across from you in conversation. T. Ross

I get something out of a lot of your episodes, I wasn’t in the military but my father was and took his life when I was very young and listening to your show help me realize I needed tools mentality to deal with it. I am very grateful that Shawn and his team not only have conversations with veterans and those who provide services for veterans and their families, but that nearly episode addresses issues faced by not only veterans, but all Americans. I wish that I could wind up with some gummy bears, but I’ll keep checking for availability. On behalf of many veterans who use their time after retirement/service to help veterans, thank you for your information and insightful, intriguing conversations.

Best podcast I’ve ever found and very inspiring and informative

Shawn is dedicated to helping Veterans and that means a lot to me. I’ve always had respect for our soldiers, of course, but the gratitude and respect I have for our servicemen and women has grown exponentially. I really appreciate hearing the firsthand accounts of real combat situations and those who are brave enough to share their knowledge of corrupted government things — hands down best podcast ever

Shawn, Easton Prevo here from Springfield, Mo, your show has given me so much more insight into what our veterans are going through on a daily basis. Especially my Uncle, John Pope who was a US Army Ranger in Iraq. I’ve always wanted to hear more of his story but been afraid to ask and push too hard for information, but your interviews have provided some insight into what he’s been through and what he might be struggling with!

I may not seem like the “target audience” for this show being a 46 year old single Mom, but I learn SO much from your show. I really appreciate what you do.

I love Shawn’s voice first and foremost. It’s soothing and has a great vibration which is very important. Shawn, you give off great caring energy. Your guests are incredible and I love the variety of topics you cover. Digging into perspectives and personalities really helps us connect. Very informative and truthful. My wife has asked me so many times why I listen to these pod casts as it puts me in a different head space. I explained to here than many of the people Shawn interviews I have never met and do not know. Hearing their stories and experiences to me honors what can only be described as amazing. Shawn does a superb job of guiding the process and promoting detail. Thank you for providing a platform that allows for the reality of heroes and amazing human beings.

Nothing against the Shawn Ryan show, but all I hear, as a combat veteran dealing with the VA, is political bluster. This man was very difficult to listen to. He does not seem like he wants to entertain the idea of psychedelic medicine and has excuses for days. I guess we’ll see, but I’m not hopeful much will change. The VA is an absolute mess, and I know it will take a major overhaul to make changes, just not sure it’s this guy.

Episode 56. 1. Nathan Larson was not a Democrat, he was a libertarian, then ran as an Independent. 2. The California bill did not recognize pedophilia as a sexual orientation. With as many followers as you have, you have a responsibility to speak truthfully.

This episode has clarified so much of what I myself have had to fight with the VA. I have been out since 2010 receive no benefits and I pay for my own healthcare. Yet we have people on Medicaid and being a honorably discharged veteran I can’t get into VA healthcare or disability that I should be.

The Brett interview was amazing!

One guest started opening my eyes to the fact the show wasn’t as it appeared. TSRS started nabbing anyone and everyone just to turn out more content which is so sad due to the fact so many episodes transcended all other audio formatted internet radio shows. Many changed my life for the better. It all started for me with Travis Haley. How Shawn or the producers allowed so many of TH’s lies to be released with an episode floored me. Whatever, I got over it. Then the episode featuring Brett cooper was released…….. I’ll get too riled up if I speak about it. So all I’ll say is I instantly pulled all monthly contributions and unsubscribed. With all due respect Shawn, the past tense of dive is dove or dived. The later being more common in British English. Both are acceptable, however “doven” is not a word at all. But Brett cooper???? Really??? Keep your quality and stop pushing for more quantity. Many troubled people need your original show before just anyone could walk onto the TSRS.

One star for this guy. Not my favorite “health expert” Sean would be much better off having Suzanne Humphries on his show. She is far more educated than this Peter guy…

The Brett Cooper may be my most favorite episode of Shawns. That’s not to say that his other guests are less though! They are all incredible and The Shawn Ryan show is one of my all-time favorite podcasts. If you like interesting people and a grateful host, then THE SHAWN RYAN SHOW is your one-stop shop. Love it.

I like the show and really like when prior service guests are in. I think when guests like Kash Patel or Tulsi Gabbard are on, their past comments need to be brought up and they can defend them or say they changed their mind
