Great episode as usual counting down top tens. Movies I’ve never heard of that I will for sure check out (Life After Fighting, Caught By the Tides, Red Rooms, Cloud, Hard Truths, La Chimera). Well worth the hour and a half listen!

Just found this today and have listened to several episodes. Great commentary and observations. Only complaint - choppy editing. It seems that pauses are removed and then cut together too closely.

As a neophyte film enjoyer, a friend of mine recommended this podcast to me and I couldn’t be happier. Great reviews of major blockbusters and smaller movies I’ve never heard of alike. Jeff, Derek, and Amir have really broadened my horizons when it comes to watching new things, and I find their analysis to be insightful. Loved the Nosferatu episode, even if they didn’t love the movie. Great stuff!

I’ve been following this pod from the beginning and have been listening for almost 5 years now. Moving on from Watchmen and adding Amir into the mix, I’ve witnessed this pod evolve and grow. The conversations are more fluid, the sound quality has improved immensely, and the discussions are deeper than ever. It’s a joy to see and I’m happy to have been a listener from the beginning. My go-to Watchmen pod is now my go-to movie pod.

Creed is one of the best sequels in the legacy series. I gave it 5 stars simply because you said it caused you to cry (killer episode as well). I sobbed uncontrollably.

I find that there are a lot of podcasts about films that regurgitate consensus opinions. In this one, Amir, Jeff, and Derek provide us with some thoughtful and engaging dialogue, especially when they disagree with each other. This is one of the best film podcasts I have heard

Ironically, I originally discovered this podcast because of the thoughtful writing I found on Jeff's blog. But in audio form, he mostly drags the discourse down to schoolboy sniggering and talking smack, while the other two hosts seem more like they would keep it reasonably elevated (but still loose and fun) if it were left to them. The last straw was Jeff not being able to contain himself with how "hilarious" he found it that Will Smith gave Chris Rock "five across the eyes" at the Oscars. Dude, grow up! Also not that cool to shrug it off because they are both the same race so "that's between them". What?!? That is an incredibly retrograde attitude.

These gentlemen are great! I love the dynamic between them. The banter is funny and it feels like I’m just in a room having a discussion with friends. I love the length of their podcast as well. I find that 45 mins to 1 hour to be that sweet spot of just enough information without over staying your welcome.

Came here to listen to the episode on M. Night Shyamalan's OLD. I loved the film and think it's one of Shyamalan's best films, but obviously none of the hosts here agree. BUT! Unlike many other film podcasts, these guys are unsanctimonious and don't try to beat you over the head with their opinions. All of their critiques were fair. Even Jeff, who really disliked the film, had great things to say about it and the director. Refreshing to see. Keep up the great work, guys!

I’ve never read the comic, and this podcast is perfect. The prologue episodes are great to get caught up for a newbie, and the episode analyses are deep and thoughtful. This is a show about race, and Jeff and Derek approach the delicate subject matter with grace and respect. Must listen! Do not miss out!

Thank you kindly for the prologues. As someone new to Watchmen, I’ve tried to get my hands (and eyes and ears) on everything Watchmen in order to gain a better understanding of the TV show.

I’m a big fan of Lindelof, the Leftovers really helped me get out of an extremely dark time, depression and death go hand in hand. I really enjoy both Jeff and Derek’s take on the series, it feels like I’m talking over the dinner table with my friends. Keep it up, I’ll be listening.
