A Buchla instrument is a hefty investment that not everyone can afford. Heck, I don’t own any Buchla synthesizers (…yet?) but I tune in every month to the Source of Uncertainty. What I get out of the show is a deep and insightful discussion of not just the gear itself, but the mindset and workflow - the “Buchlidean” nature of these tools and the people who make and use them - which can not only entertain but also inform any musical practice, from acoustic instruments, to iOS music production, to Eurorack …I’m sure folks who actually have a Skylab case or whatever maybe get _more_ out of this podcast, but I heartily recommend it to anyone who is interested in making music.
