MacmylifeEpisode 91…I typically enjoy listening to this podcast…good content while doing yard work or commuting. I agree with Kyle, VP of comp from the consulting firm in Episode 91 on In n Out. Good company and great employee practices. However, advocacy for unions is puzzling! The cost added to a business with represented employees is 30% or more than maintaining positive personnel practices. Companies should take care of their employees and create great working environments that don’t require the expenses added of representation.

Alex425xyzGreat Insights, Great GuestsI listened to the most recent episode with Bruce Tulgan and he had some great insights into common generational issues in the workplace and how to combat them to provide the best work environment possible. As a small business owner, I work with many Millennials and this episode gave me ideas on how to implement some best practices in my own company to attract and retain the generation as a whole. Tony asked thought-provoking questions which allowed Bruce to respond with great detail on his experiences - a true testament to his hosting.

Mac PrichardUseful Conversations About the World of WorkGood, useful conversations with authors, speakers, and leaders about the world of work. The show is short — typical interviews run about 20 minutes — but host Tony Lee and his guests pack a lot of information into every episode. While it’s aimed at an HR audience, other managers and employees will find plenty of valuable career information here.

m69421More informationLove the podcast and how descriptive you guys lay everything out for employees. That being said, I have always had a push and pull relationship with HR and why they do what they do. Maybe something you can answer that I am stumped on. Why would HR elect not to pay sick time to a public safety employee during the Covid situation when the New Act states that Employers are not required to pay the sick time for the public safety employee falls under the criteria but states that employers should be cautious on declining to proving the sick time to the individual due to the possibility of the Covid -19 being spread? I don’t understand why the Act would incorporate that wording especially when public safety employees need the sick time more than the average employee. An explanation of the Act itself and who is covered is the main question I have I guess. Thanks again
