AnothereldermillennialGood content, poor audio qualityThe show is well-informed and interesting but the audio is terrible, and it sounds like they keep hitting or blowing into the mic. I only listen when I see a topic of particular interest and even then I can’t make it through the episode. I return to it every few months to see if it’s improved and unfortunately it has not.

Mississippi shopperVery informativeGreat training information and entertaining. I enjoy listening to this on the long run!

abbiiiiiiiiiiInformational!Great content and very helpful!

Aa flyer for long timeGreat content. Need to remove filler word of “right”.Great content. Need to remove the distraction of filler word of “right”. I had to stop on latest episode
-
epfreiSolid Content, Poor Sound QualityThe information is really helpful, but the poor sounds quality is really distracting. It would do them a lot of good to invest in some better recording equipment.
-
janaknauerPoor sound qualityAgreed with many other reviewers here- great podcast with helpful content but the audio quality is terrible. It almost sounds like their mic is standing on a piano and someone keeps tapping the piano (I know that’s not what’s actually happening but that’s what it sounds like to me)

savepalesaniansThe Podcast HostI really like this podcast and the content is great. I just wish the host would talk less and let the guest talk more. Sometimes I stop listening because of that! Again, the host is always taking over which makes stop listening midway!
-
sam_shan_3Host needs to reassess her attitudeGood content but the host Victoria can come off really condescending and exasperated. She’s always taking deep sighs explaining something and sounds annoyed that she has to explain and answer questions. It makes me not feel supported as a runner and that I should already know everything. The sound quality and mixing also needs work- constantly need to adjust volume while listening.

Love4MarathoningGood content, hard to listen toSuch great content but the sound quality is so bad. She sounds like she is out of breath or stressed out and there is a bunch of knocking around on the mic, I had to turn it off. Hope this review helps change the quality of the recordings so I can enjoy listening again!

nuclearcockSolid adviceI used this podcast as my primary source of advice while training for a recent marathon I completed. There was a lot of good, practical advice on both the physical and mental side of running. The first episode I listened to was a compilation of mistakes people generally make while training for a marathon and I’ll admit, I was planning on making several of those same mistakes. In specific, listening to this podcast convinced me to slow down on my easy runs, something I’d never really done much of in the past. The advice helped me PR by over 40 minutes and get a Boston qualifying time of 3:05! Most of that 40 minute drop was due to this being just my second marathon and improving on in race nutrition, which I did absolutely nothing for during my first marathon, but I do think the podcast really helped put me on a solid track for success.

Deveno5Good contentSuch a great podcast with so much good information! I have learned so many great tips!
-
Legendary TechThank youI just recently started training to run my first marathon and having all the info and knowledge I’ve gained from this podcast and other like it have heavily influenced the way I’m training in a positive way. I imitate made many mistakes when I first set my goal of running a marathon and got injured but since then have taken the time to understand and listen to my body, my runs times and pacing have gotten a lot better in the last 3 months that I’ve been training just making me more excited to get to race day even tho it’s still months away

Steve WallenGreat content, poor sound qualityI really love the content Victoria and Jason produce. BUT… the sound quality is really bad. You can usually hear one of them really well, and the other one barely at all. Plus, inevitably, one of them will bump the mic one or more times, causing a loud POP! Some new sound equipment would make this into a 5-star podcast.

NelizooRambling and very negative. There is some good information in this podcast, but a lot of it is just the host rambling about how “a lot of people” think something or do something that’s wrong and how she’s a really fast runner but “a lot of people” aren’t. It feels as though most of the topics just devolve into all the things people are constantly doing wrong. It makes me feel bad both about my own training and hiring them as coaches, which despite the podcast’s very clear pushing I have no interest, now, in doing.

hanbowlinLove the Run4PRs crew!Love hearing my coaches talk shop!! Amazing job and great tips :)
-
VicadeechickAmazing running podcastThis podcast is so good. They always have really informative and practical advice. They are also inclusive of all paces when they discuss questions and solutions. Highly recommend!
-
CasualmotherrunnerGreat InfoI really enjoy listening! This is my favorite podcast to tune into on long runs or on the treadmill. I have learned a lot and gained more confidence in my running.

BrandonM24MicrophonesEnjoy the podcast but the microphones need work. I usually have trouble hearing one of you. The most recent podcast I could barely hear Jason

myliubarankasClickingGreat info and podcast. However, the clicking (of the mouse I think) in the background is very annoying.

kllindy36Everything you need to know about runningI love this podcast! It’s always a go to while I’m doing my long runs. The advice that they share is exactly what all runners need, it’s basically FREE coaching (besides the training plan but they can hook you up with that!).

LeftyLexPerfect Long Run ListenSo much easily digestible knowledge in each episode. This is not a mindless running podcast, Victoria brings the goods. Even a seasoned runner can learn from her. Cheers!

WSHawk3The Good and BadThe topics covered on this podcast are great! I’ve been listening for the past few years and have enjoyed the additional perspective I get from this podcast combined with the several other running podcasts I frequently listen to. I think the co-host Ryan is dead-on with most of his answers and I often find myself sharing the same opinion as him before he answers the question. He holds the weight of the show in my opinion. I noticed some criticism towards the host in prior reviews regarding speaking fast and rambling. I agree with many of those comments, but I can confidently say that there has been much improvement over the past year. I think the “bad” in this show is the host’s frequent referencing of her running times. Having a “fast” marathon time and qualifying for the Boston Marathon has no correlation to being a good coach. In almost every episode she is talking about herself and how “fast” she is. It’s even part of her intro. Who cares!

HmwkpoliceSounds like a valley girl from MinnesotaI have tried to let this grow on me because the topics of the show always sound super interesting. The host sounds very valley girl and is all over the place but if you can get past that, the info is almost all her opinion and not based on real science or research. I was just listening to the one on various recovery methods and there were several times that they would say “there are lots of studies out there” that say X. Well, just because it’s a study doesn’t make it a good one. You have to look at good studies with good methods if you want to make decisions or opinions on methods based on their results. Sorry. I want to like this but just can’t get past these things.

keh404Rambling and repetitiveI’m not sold on this podcast and will probably unsubscribe. I like the topics they cover, but the host seems unprepared beyond a list of questions. The guest (usually the same person - at least in every episode I’ve listened to) answers her question, then the host (does she ever introduce herself? I have never caught her name) repeats what he said and rambles on, saying the same thing in a slightly different way. Each episode could easily be half as long. Additionally, most episodes begin with an intro about sharing the secrets to become a better runner, but most of the rambling answers arrive at the same conclusion - get a coach. If you’re looking for a free resource to learn more about running or already have your own coach, there are better resources out there.

HoddddddGreat podcast, some room for improvementLove this podcast. I’m training for my first marathon and have accessed the history of episodes to help me gain some deeper knowledge of running. The one thing that I struggle with is the pace and breath of the host. She always seems very rushed and very out of breath. I’m not sure if she’s nervous or just coming off a run! Some episodes are better than others, I’ll continue to listen, but just one piece of feedback!

Daicia18Best running tips out there!!This podcast is a must listen if you want to improve your running or at the very least not feel so alone in all your running questions and concerns! There is no other podcast like this that I’ve found- they go over the best tips for how to become a better runner. It’s also fun conversation!! Highly recommend for all runners all levels!!

MW327Love!Love this podcast! the run4prs coaches are so honest, real, and open. Always talking about great content without any extra BS :)

SCMUCMARINYCGreat content, could have better interviewing flowThe content on this podcast is fantastic for all types of distances running. I’ve found it comforting, refreshing, encouraging, and empowering. I would, however, really like for the host to work a little more on letting guests respond at length. There are many times where Victoria asks the guest a question that she ends up answering without much input from the guest. Would love for the interview flow to be a little smoother. Thanks for all your hard work on this podcast!

Matthew12817Insight into what real runners talk aboutI consider myself a fairly recreational runner compared to serious runners, but avid compared to non-runners. I want to run a few races a year and do well, but don’t particularly mind what my times are. I LOVE talking about running, but my network is limited. I like this podcast because it gives me insight to conversations I don’t have in my own community about personal experiences, what works, what doesn’t, etc. Keep up the good work.

not_a_toasterRunning Tips GoldFantastic content. I wish there were more episodes. I will agree with some of the reviews that the sound quality could be better, but the actual content of the podcasts can't be beat.
-
sara travelsOkContent is good, but sound quality is lacking. It’s frustrating to listen too when you have to constantly adjust the volume to hear.
-

b showers 19888Cool guests bad interviewerIt’s cool to have a podcast with local twin cities runners but this interviewer is terrible. There is no clear format and the questions are all over the place
-
Heather5MNFinally my questions answered!I feel as though, I’m the one interviewing! A very thorough and real conversation about running. I love it!
-
mrnycguyAwesome and realWhen passion for running hits you, you dream of a podcast like this one! Very informative and down to earth. Advice straight from the coaches on how to achieve your running goals.
-
mkmerittStop interrupting your guest!I enjoy the content thoroughly but Victoria ALWAYS interrupts the guest. I would like to see that change. There needs to be a smoother transition when you interject, but overall decent content.
-
