SaraBinSC25Love to listen to this podcast!I love listening to this podcast because y’all talk about so many of the same things from my life too and I love hearing your thoughts on it all! Parenting, coffee, teenagers, travel sports - especially travel volleyball tournaments…just listened to your latest podcast today during my drive to another weekend tournament. Thanks for all the laughs as well as words of wisdom!
-
Worldsapart3Always a fun listenGreat show. I was going to expand on that, but I’m way too far under my head with life right now.
-
Fl_JKDesperateOh man - I can’t believe that a Dad of daughters would want to promote John Crist but anything for the views or downloads I guess. That guy is either sexually harassing women or making fun of them so either way, if this is who you promote, I’m out.
-
Berry Good LaughA New FavoriteI love hearing about their family and relatable parenting. As a mom of three young kids I appreciate a good laugh about the glorious mess of having children!
-
Andrew RoosThanks! Thanks for the pick me up every week

TeamkapenFavorite podcast! This is our favorite show. We look forward to this being released every week and get really sad when there’s no shows lol

C.FreddyThe best! This podcast never fails to make my day and make me smile every week! As someone who grew up in San Diego and later moved to Seattle it feels like this podcast was crafted just for me. I love getting an insider’s perspective to the PNW and hearing what new coffee shops to check out in La Mesa when I visit home! I’d just say that you should give your teenager some slack, being a cool skater bro who sleeps all day is tougher than it looks and we mostly turn out ok! Would love a deep dive into where I could get some fruity/fun/happy/walk-on-the-beach coffee like in SD instead of the dark/mean/bitter coffee I’ve found in Seattle? A great pod for anyone who has kids, wants to have kids, doesn’t want to have kids, or once was a kid Also, love the new ad format because I get told to check out Emerald Queen Casino and then repent of it at a church in Kirkland in back to back ads

ChelamaPerfectly relatable!I really enjoy listening to Dustin and Melissa each week. I first heard Dustin in Springfield when he was with Nate Bargatze and was excited to learn he had a podcast as well! So funny and totally relatable as parents! I’m loving the hot takes on the holidays!
-
juli0182883993Dad BodSaw Dustin in Tulsa; true dad bod. Dustin is so relatable and will keep you laughing regardless of being at a comedy show after 7pm and, really, it's time to go to bed. If you're mid-aged and have a snacking problem, you'll appreciate him.

CaraV23Answer for MelGreat show! I’m new to the backseat by way of Nateland. I wanted to share an option for Mel’s white elephant/secret Santa predicament. A lot of lady groups in my area are doing a “favorite thing” party. You set a price limit and ask each participant to bring one of their favorite things. Before the game starts they have to explain what it is and why it’s their favorite. Then you draw numbers and the girls get to pick in order. Sometimes there is a prize for the person that brought the top gift. I hope this helps. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas! As a parent of teenagers you give me hope that we all might make it till the new year!

GKawataCome for funny, stay for the familyI would give this 4 stars if they stop interrupting each other #marriedlife

xckelspvOverall Great PodThe more I listen, the more I like. If you’re looking for an episode to check out, Mini Van vs. SUV is a favorite of mine.
-
iamwisealsoYou give me all the laughsI’ve been listening to this podcast since I saw Dustin open for John Crest in Davenport, Iowa in 2019. The show was great then but now…….all the better. I was not a big Steven fan, so I’m glad that ended….otherwise yo’d not be getting five stars. Mel’s just the best. This podcast is a great listen while I do my graphic design job and it one of 2 podcasts that can entertain me enough while I run and not make me realize what I’m doing. It’s what I recommend to everyone when podcast suggestions are wanted. Y’all are the best. Can you interview your kids? Or your dad? Can that be an episode? Love the kids/dad stories always. Keep coming to Iowa.

JessQua070806Let her finish a sentence!I tried to listen to this episode because it sounded interesting. I couldn’t even get 10 minutes in because he kept interrupting her! It was so annoying and hard to listen to. She is the one with the experience as a military child and yet he was the one speaking 99% of the time. Stop interrupting and let others finish even just one sentence!

Gesikah07Comedy + millennial parenting anecdotesNew to the back seat and so far this ride has been awesome! Listening to other millennial parents trying to navigate this crazy world, all while keeping our little humans alive, is refreshing! They don’t pretend to be perfect or tell their listeners how to raise their kids, but instead share relatable family stories with a sprinkle of comedy. Dustin please keep the goal of making Melissa laugh everyday especially on the pod, it makes me smile and the moment even funnier. #bestlaughever

PPeters2A Must ListenIf you have kids, this is a must listen pod. Even if you don’t have kids, you should still listen. Dustin and Mel make a great team and tell it like it is - Andy’s occasional chime ins are great too. My new favorite pod, keep the laughs coming.
-
Fire/EMS29Funny, relatableGoing to give it five stars when Dustin quits interrupting Mel lol
-
AlphaThetaGreat pod! - honest feedbackRecent subscriber. Love the pod. Funny, relatable. highly recommend But - Not a fan of the Mel being interrupted so much. She handles it well. Maybe she doesn’t notice or mind it? Just something that I notice a decent amount in almost every episode.

Amanda_G.The Most Good Podcast“Don’t Make Me Come Back There” isn’t just a good podcast about marriage, family, and all the ups and downs that happen in the midst of all that - it’s the MOST good podcast out there about all that. Do your soul a favor and tune in…laughter? Check! Tears? Check! Raw honesty? Check! Listening to the podcast you might forget you’re not actually sitting around with good friends sharing life together because you’re actually more likely sitting folding laundry or cooking dinner while enjoying the company of what feels like old friends. Thank you Nickerson’s and family for all you do…this podcast is a always a highlight each week; a source of encouragement and a place I can come to knowing there are others walking in very similar shoes as mine as we all navigate this journey together. 😉

tieck6My kinda people (and parents)Love you guys! I relate to your parenting style so much. It takes a team to make it all work, especially with odd work schedules, and it’s refreshing to hear another couple going through the same stuff. Dustin you are hilarious. Mel, can we be friends? You are fabulous. Keep it up guys!

Dustin JDOnly podcast I listen toI’ve never been able to enjoy podcasts until I came across Dustin and Melissa’s. I truly enjoy the friendly banter and heartwarming honesty and joy you share with us all. Thank you for taking the time to share the good times and not so good times in your lives in such a relatable way.
-
a joriaEveryone who is married and/or parenting will love this podcast. It will make you laugh for sure, but the best part about Dustin and Melissa is how honest and vulnerable they are about family life. Also as a career youth pastor, Dustin’s “open your bible” jokes will forever be my favorite.

Jules 98005 starsLove listening to you guys as I drive to and from work . ( About an hour of traveling each way.) Being a new mom can be stressful but spending my me time in the car with you guys makes me feel less alone in this crazy role we play called parenting. You guys are funny , down to earth ,and real. You keep mentioning North Carolina being the best and as a Transplant from Boston living in NC , I can see why. But up north we’re Wicked Smaht . Keep up the good work. Signing out from the ole North Cackalacky , -Julia Terry Ps : not the “bark technologies “ jingle you guys made up stuck in my head all day every day 🤣

LadyChagsFun showFound Dustin on Instagram and love this show. He and Mel are fun to listen to and I love to hear them in the car. I feel like I’ve become a better parent thanks to their hilarious sound advice and also love hearing about life on the road. Hope to see him love the next time he’s in town. Also love that they have an affinity for coffee like me. Great show.

TracieLSelfThe perfect, lighthearted podcast!Marriage and parenting can be so heavy. Popping this podcast in my ears has become a break I look forward to every week! I always laugh and I always feel like I can make it one more day dealing with ludicrous kids after I hear Dustin and Mel laugh about their own parenting woes. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us who are in the trenches! - from a millennial mom, ministry wife, and fellow renter
-
itunesfan24Great fun!Dustin and Melissa are fun companions for any long walk, road trip, or simple sit on your couch. Silly and authentic, they are truly relatable and entertaining for all ages. Their conversations are honest and fun and a great example of a beautiful marriage and family. They also genuinely care about their fans and cultivating a community, which is pretty dope. This pod is a great example of how great comedy doesn’t have to be crude - definitely would recommend a listen!
-

blainec24Stop shaming me alright! SheeshThis is my shame review. You have beat on the guilt and embarrassment that resides in me to write this review. Love the podcast and you will too if you give it a listen. Dustin and Melissa are fantastic and hilarious. I end up sending my wife snippets from each episode because everything is beyond relatable to this middle-aged, 2 kid, NW white dude. Cheers to you Nickerson’s and Andy. Ok now stop shaming us to write reviews. :)
-
DJ RepetersUnashamedDustin did not shame me into leaving this review! I’m writing on my own volition. ;) Appreciate Dustin & Melissa for their insights & willingness to share life with us! This is a favorite listen each week. You can only listen to a comedy special a certain number of times but it’s a joy to listen to Dustin’s new thoughts each week! #PNWlove

Bmac19934The shame worked Dustin!Just started listening to episode 266 where Dustin shamed us for listening but not leaving a review. So here I am to leave a review! 😂 Love love this podcast! I found Dustin from Kev on Stage’s Keep Your Distance Comedy show and have been following his career + content ever since! iluvmandalasFun Family LaughsI’ve been listening since seeing Dustin open for the sassy jacket funny lady (TT 😉) in Philly. I love The Nickersons outlook on parenting. I’m always laughing at similar situation we’ve shared on this parenting journey of raising kiddos. Melissa’s laugh is the best! I wish I could’ve waited after the show to meet Dustin, next time!! Keep up with the good stuff!!
