    CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION.
This is what they want you to know told to you the way THEY want to tell it. This is government funded and since Canada is clearly turning into a tyrannical leftist broke and burnt super France or UK that only cares about raising the cost of energy while buying up beachfront properties. How can you trust or enjoy anything this dumpster fire, set by a leftist, spews.

    Narcissistic talking about psychopath
The podcast is nothing more than a narcissistic reporter giving voice to a psychopath who wants - and gets - the attention he seeks. She emphasizes the “me” in her sentences and ignores the families who asked for some empathy. Since narcissistic people cannot feel empathy, you can see how this reporter elevates a murderer

Very disappointed in this podcast as I believe your podcast has a lot of tunnel vision There was no proof not one ounce of evidence I think whilst there are certain inconsistencies and I believe he certainly hasn’t been proved he didn’t kill her but he has had no trial and has been kept in prison for no other reason that he is a suspect no evidence I find this case very thin and just sensationalist journalism

    A Must Watch!
    Excellent podcast.

CBC is one of the best
While you can count on CBC giving you a good podcast, this story is so compelling! I’d never heard of Clifford Olsen so that got my attention first. The narration is spot on and the research is top notch. Do not miss this show!

    The BEST podcast!
This has been the very best podcast I’ve heard in a long time. The story is wild and, at times, unbelievable. This would make an incredible movie!!! Very well done.
  • PleaseHelpMeChill
    Very, very well done
This was so remarkably well produced, well narrated, and seamless storytelling. Excellent work.

    Very good podcast
Really enjoyed the podcast. It was fascinating and well done. The presenters voice is pleasant and easy to listen to.

Unreal story - well done podcast
Imagine if those two fisherman decided not to go out on the water that day…

    Wow!!! What a story
Exceptional work done by CBC!!! What an incredible story

    Totally engrossing,especially S 32!!
Binged the whole series. If you've ever wondered how people can be sucked into a cult, this can answer some of those questions. Great in depth reporting on the NXIVM cult exposed last year. More than just a reporters view, as a friend,Josh struggles to understand how Sarah was drawn into this cult. A must listen!

    Listened on a whim
Listened on a whim after running out of podcasts. The last few minutes of episode 1 of sea of lies got me so good i slapped the table. The twists kept coming. Very fun, great story telling, finished in less than a day.

    So overtold!
The host thinks he’s on broadway! His overly dramatic read is unlistenable. Just tell the story. Stop trying to embellish it.

    Pretty darn good
**Ok but was he the father of Sheena’s babies???** A pretty fascinating tale. A decent listen. I do recommend.

    Loved it!!!
    Very well told!!!

    Great story, try-hard host
Fascinating story, routinely interrupted by the host interjecting himself with one-liners. Unnecessary and distracting to such an interesting story.
  • MeNotYou2251
    Stop trying so hard
Great story, well produced. Host tries too hard to insert humor or has too many corny interjections to story. His attempts to be dramatic fall flat.

Late joiner, glad to have found it
Season 1 episode 6 made me want to sit in a vat of Purell from the utter grossness of the lawyer. Great investigative reporting.
  • EskerChance
This is among the best. Like Bear Brook in terms of appeal and quality.
Well told. Gripping. Not offensive. Not repetitive. Unbelievable story.

Great story, well told and well researched!

    Riveting!
Wow! This story is nearly incredible with all of the twists and turns, all the victims, all the lies. Con upon brazen con. What’s truly remarkable about this podcast however is the storytelling. So very well done! A++ work!

    I love it!

    Outstanding
I had a hard time listening to the Band episodes. But they are all just outstanding. Touching, informative.
  • No ads. Real money
    Season 23 the pit
This guy has zero accountability and how convenient he remembers nothing. Because he hit his head. He takes no responsibility, even for things he was charged with. So irritating hearing his voice

    The perfect story telling
I lost a whole night of sleep because I could not turn it off.

    Impeccable.
The most well done true crime podcast I’ve listened to. Respectful to victims, thorough, intelligently lighthearted when warranted and SO well produced. Great audio. Great tonality. The story was fascinating and the telling of it was flawless. Binged the entire thing!

    Could not stop listening!
Totally binged this! The narrator and writing are outstanding. I just found this podcast and I am so happy there are so many seasons!

    Sam Mullins - Podcaster Extraordinaire
This host (with 32 seasons alone for Sea of Lies thus far - there are many hosts in this series alone) is far and away the most compelling writer/author/host of any podcast out there. Ira Glass, PJVogt, Glynn Washington - move over. Mr. Mullin is destine for greatness, rivaling the success of the 3 of you combined!

    Sea of Lies review
Great storytelling! Sam Mullins is one of my favorites. Very well done.

    Must Listen
What a story. It dives into the depths one man will go to keep his charade continuing and the peope he must crush along the way. They do an amazing job of keeping you engaged and on the hook for the next episode.
  • Aveech
    It’s a good one
This is a good one! And I love Sam Mullins’ voice and storytelling. I’ve listened to his other 2 podcasts and I was pleasantly surprised when I heard his voice on this one!

One of the best (worst) True Crime Stories
This story has it all: Boats, murder, ponzi schemes, kidnapping, grooming, intrigue. I was hooked right away. Beautiful story telling about deception, murder and greed.

    So Good
First episode captured me instantly. Had to subscribe to binge it within days. Fantastic storytelling.

Every Ad Is For A Terrorist Organization
I really enjoy listening to the podcast which is really interesting and well produced. What I cannot get past is that every advertisement is for a “pro-life” terrorist organization that has been tied to the horrific deaths of countless women in health crises with various normal pregnancy complications. Stop taking blood money from terrorists.

    Interesting but bad interviewing
Because of their relationship, the narrator is far too kind to Sarah. She really acts like a complete victim and takes so little accountability for what she put others through. She has three “slaves” and knew it was a pyramid scheme she was at the top of. She seemed to not care until she noticed initials on her body. It took damage to her body to care, not an ounce of care for the damage she caused to other people she got into this cult.

    One of the Best
I’ve listened to podcasts every single day for about4 years now - on my drive to work, my walks, cleaning house, etc. This is the 2nd time a podcast has prompted me, a cheapskate, to subscribe. I absolutely could not wait to hear the next episode. The narrator drops little mysterious hints of what’s to come. And then when he gets there, it is even more interesting than expected. I just love everything about this podcast. Well done.

    Love the sea of lies
    Really enjoyed this, binge worthy.

    Honestly
There are way too many episodes about gay people and tyranny’s. I found out that they actually have a school for tyranny’s and gay teens. Is everyone gay in canada?
  • eva_diva_
    Too many episodes
Good reporting, but too stretched out in my opinion
  • Ppammycakess
Season 23 - The Pit - no closure
I loved this reporting and story telling until the last say, 5 episodes. Recordings were replayed way too much. And honestly not to add a final episode after his conviction and sentence was disappointing.
  • p_ jones
    Well Done!
This is how podcasts should be: Straight ahead, great research, get to the point with a single narrator. Best podcast I have listened to in a long time

Only 4 minutes in and love what I’m hearing.
As humans we know what we like and if you’re really in tune you don’t have to let time pass by to question whether or not you’re going to like it. In conclusion, within the first few spoken words from the narrator I was excited knowing I found yet another great podcast. I won’t waist more of your time explaining. If you know, you know;)

    BORING
Your next episode can be how I died of boredom listening.

    Great!
This is actually a really good podcast. I’m listening to the latest season, first three episodes have me hooked!

    Exceptionally Satisfying
I enjoyed this from start to finish. I had a project that I ditched to listen to it in one day. Worth it! A gripping story, well told. Thank you.

So Clear they don’t want to find the truth.
After listening to this amazing podcast it is so very clear- they simply do not want to bring closure. After ALL OF THESE YEARS- they have nothing . And as usual these officials and enforcement agencies are obviously threatened by new ideas, new eyes and better crime Solving. And so the families suffer.

    CBC is the best!
I have been listening to podcasts for many years, starting with “What You Missed In History” and have only written a handful of reviews over the years, but I have to say that the CBC podcasts in general and Sea of Lies in particular, are some of the best I have ever heard. The narration, editing, and storytelling is amazing. I cannot wait to hear more. CBC should have as many subscribers as the top American Podcasts!
  • Vislavie
    Excellent!
Well done, NOT repetitive, great interviews. Storytelling at its best. Highly recommend!
