I really like the creepy music and the narration is awesome. The stories are amazing, my favorite is the 3 part series “ The Patient”

I have been listening for years now and have heard almost 80% of the stories on this podcast. The stories here are truly scary and I’m never disappointed and this episode was no exception. The 3rd story “I saw hunger and it followed me home” honestly left me fearing for my life. I had to pause it to double check all my doors and windows were locked, I was too scared to even blink. This is your favorite podcasts’ favorite podcast.

I love this podcast! I mainly listen on Spotify because the Podcast app, the one that started it all, is pretty awful. Anyway... The stories are fantastic. Very well chosen. But where this already awesome podcast truly excels is in the narration. I can't imagine a more perfect narrator. Great voice, excellent narration, and (and this may be petty) the reader actually pronounces words properly. All too often you get these kids who do great stories, but they've only ever seen these words on a screen and therefore can't pronounce unfamiliar words properly. Nothing takes me out of a story faster than mangling words, and the narrator for this podcast knows his words. I love it! Keep up the great work! This podcast is really impressive. This chap sounds like a pro, and I'm glad I found this show!

Far too long for a podcast.

I am a teenager that loves horror stories. I like writing, especially stories like these so they give me ideas for new stories. I love this podcast. It’s awesome and I can’t say it enough. One problem though. I don’t usually like to listen to it, I just like to read along with the voice. Every minute, the white indicating the read text shifts backwards and is not in sync with the speaking. Could someone please fix this? thank you for reading my review.

They have too many ads. Normally that wouldn’t be an issue, but after the first several seasons they start inserting adds in the story — which is entirely unpalatable.

8 minutes before the story starts and several ad breaks to squeeze in the Angi ads that we’ve all heard 7 million times this week… And then, if you aren’t already scared off, the stories are sometimes pretty good.

I love this podcast. Great stories that are sure to leave you scarred in the dark, and Otis Jiry is a master. I really enjoy his voice acting, and the old time radio feel of the podcast.

I’m addicted to listening to this podcast. Otis voice is so comforting! I listen to this podcast for hours and hours on end.

I’ve been listening for about three years now, and enjoy some of the stories. However, Otis is a little hard to really get into. His voice tone doesn’t change throughout, but some of the writers and stories performed are very creative. This is not a horror podcast! it’s not even scary and my opinion. If you’re into soft horror then I would start here.

Good podcast, Uncle Otis performs well

I regularly listen to the chilling tales for dark nights at work and just overall everyday life. The stories are always captivating and entertaining. They help me pass 10 hours of work like it’s nothing. I even go back and restart the seasons when I make my way up to the latest episode.

Could be one of if not the best horror story podcast if the ads and intros were cut down to a single ad per episode and a short intro of the reader the reading and the writer

Best scary stories ever

In the first episode, he laughs, and then say he laughs, and then says “I hate your grandfather” I just don’t understand why he doesn’t understand that some of us either don’t have grandpa’s or we like our grandpa and he says that like WTH dude there is no point in that, he thinks his voice is So scary but it’s really not we can all tell that you are first trying really hard and has NO success and that he just ruins the vibe, even little kids will not be scared because he is just really trying to be scared and trying to have a good scary vibe but no he ruins the scary vibe and his voice is horrible and THE ADDS you neeeeed to stop with the like 5-10 minutes adds just either listen to unexplained encounters or doctor no sleep or be scared because their podcast is MUCH better than this one.

Best narrator EVER!!! I love listening to this podcast! He’s got such a unique voice, and is so so good at keeping me on the edge of my seat! I honestly can’t recommend him enough!!

There are lot’s of weird fiction/horror/and or creepypasta podcasts out there that have way better production values, but I return to this one when I need a reliable campfire tale experience. Also helps me sleep the way listening to my father reading Treasure Island watching Indiana Jones as a kid. Often the stories and presentation have a good mixture of interesting and soothing quality that I eagerly try to stay awake until I fall asleep.

There’s a lot of creepypasta narrators to choose from on YouTube…… However I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that Otis is one of the Best!!!! My week is not over without his unique style and his ability to make us feel like we are right there in each story!!!! Otis has a great way of pulling you into every story he narrates, it’s like theater of the mind!!! As soon as I finish listening to his latest podcast, I’m counting down the days until his next release!!!!! Otis you are a legend in the making and you deserve all of the love, support, love, and happiness that comes your way!!!! This sexy daddies voice is so sexy. Love the story telling as well

The host surely thinks he’s an amazing voice actor but the dopey clown style and over-used faux sinister laugh are ridiculous. Ceased being entertaining after about a minute and a half of babbling nonsense and commercials. The story, when finally presented, fell flat.

Have only listened to the first episode but actually had me shaking because I just got back from camping. Great story telling and I love the slight music in the background making it even creepier. First horror story podcast that didn’t make me tune out.

Horror stories don’t need to be political. Disappointed to hear “right wing conspiracy theories” in season 12 episode 20 before that “theory” ended the character. I was thinking about advertising on here too, that’s a shame.

I’ve been listening to Otis for awhile. Started on YouTube now I solely listen to his podcast. Love the collection of stories they pick for Otis to do. Otis has a perfect voice in my opinion to do horror. Will always support Otis!!
