Scott runs the game and show not the DM. He makes all the choices for the group and things always always go his way. I thought they were funny so I listened to the start of the second season and he starts problems in the group itself. The next episode every thing is okay and the terrible thing he did is repeated and it feels like it okay just to fix the tension in the group.

I have listened to every single episode in under a year and I have to say this is my favorite podcast for all occasions. Keep up the amazing work.

So I can’t exactly listen. I was so excited because it was clean!!!! And then I when to play an episode. All are explicit ☹️. So I can’t exactly tell you how the show is its self, but based off the episodes I think that the show should be rated explicit.

I just started not long ago, and I’ve binged up through about episode 28-29 of season one so far. These guys are real players. They paint a legit story, they’re true to their characters, and there is enough humor to keep it light and strike a good balance. The story is as well developed as a novel, so hat tip to the DM, too. I love the chemistry and can’t wait to keep going. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to play, but I’d love to play with these guys. Thanks for this podcast, fellas. Addendum: I’m now about halfway through campaign 3. It has undergone some dramatic changes from one campaign to the next, but I have to say this - I wish I was friends with these guys. They aren’t just entertainers. They just seem to be overall cool guys who do some good work through their rolls for humanity. Don’t get me wrong. Shainsaw is a lunatic, but it’s in the best possible way. I literally jumped up from my bed early one morning and said, “I AM KRISTOFF SHINDO!” If I could afford to, I’d be throwing money their way, so I hope others are able to support their efforts. Also, I’ve been struggling with health issues, and this podcast keeps my spirits up and gets me through ugly hours and days, so I just wanted to say thank you for that.

Hey LawfulStupid army. I joined your ranks earlier this week and love it! I had to stay home from work today, and I am happy to say that this increase my LS time by a lot. These guys are super funny, knowledgable about the game, and easy to visualize. I especially love the way the DM just rolls with everything so smoothly. Often I’m expecting him to need to pause and come up with an idea on how to react, but so far, nope! He continues to Deal out Homebrew creativity and care for his players. Mmm I say “care” for the players, but not their characters necessarily. Some of these scraps are just…. So desperate and ugly… and Im excited to see how they get through, and what comes next.

With 91 episodes left and 103 hr 20 minutes left(yes, I counted) of listening time left, my only complaint is there is simply not enough. I’m so excited to get caught up and join the patreon. I never know quite what to expect. With every new episode comes lots of laughs, tears(sometimes from laughing uncontrollably), twists and never ending fun from a group of people who though they may not always do what is in the best interest in their characters, always bring entertainment to my long drives, or long night shifts as well as inspirations for my own campaign. I don’t remember how exactly I stumbled on this podcast, but I’m so glad I did. I only wish I had found it sooner. I can’t wait to see where the next adventure takes the characters!

I first discovered this podcast as I was suffering from kidney stone pain. I binged the whole first campaign, and it got me through the pain! I have mad respect for the team, especially Devan. I can tell he has great integrity and personal character. After listening to Campaign 2, I have even more respect for everyone, especially the female additions, who are both amazing role players. Again, this podcast got me through the pain of my second kidney stone. Really entertaining! There is no video game, movie, or show as captivating or enchanting as the content found in the hundred or so episodes! Their patron only content is just as amazing and fleshes out the already very well crafted fantastical worlds! To sum up, do yourself a favor, listen to this podcast, become a patron, join the discord, and open yourself up to a better world of listening entertainment and D&D nerdom. You won’t regret the investment of time!

Im sure things get better as it goes but please mind ambient interruptions such as CO2 alarms cherping through the entire ep. I love the story pulp, you’re (DM) painting a great visual for the story and your players are playful. Cheers!

I listen to a different couple podcasts when I’m working but this is the only one I’ve listened to outside of work ,coming home and just relaxing. When I’m listening it feels like I’m chatting with some friends.

Between tying me over between my own Dnd sessions and giving me ideas for my own character and campaign. I would highly recommend this podcast to anyone wanting to getting into a Dnd podcast. I’m quickly catching up and dreading the realization that eventually I’ll have to wait for episodes to come out. #bingelife

Everything about this podcast is engaging, heart warming, heart wrenching, bring tears of joy and laughter, makes you wanna scream shouts of victory and defeat. Everyone involved in creating this podcast gives so much to their community of listeners and it’s so wonderful! I have yet to be annoyed with anything that they have done. And if you choose to get more involved with the community it just gets that much better. They love interacting with their listeners to make the experience that much more personal. I have to say that so far this podcast is on parr with all the other dnd podcasts that I have listened to as far as story goes. The sound quality can get rough, but then again I’m only on episode 25 of the first season, so I’m sure it’s gotten better since then. I’m looking forward to enjoying the rest of this.

I have listened to every single episode and I was captivated with each one. I’ve listened to a lot of dnd podcasts and this is by far one of my favorites. The players have such a fun relationship and its always a joy to listen to you guys. Its absolutely worth a listen and I recommend it 100%. Love you guys!!

If you are drinking coffee and the players / DM start to banter, you *will* know what it is like to pass an entire cup of coffee through your nasal cavity, all over the your desk, and down your shirt! Or so I have heard, never happened to me. Nope not a bit. I have to go change my bandages now. Seriously, very well done podcast. Highly entertaining and is worth every moment of your time.

Fun characters and players all around with amazing and funny banter. If you can imagine the events that happen in a podcast named Lawful Stupid it will happen and will make you laugh. Their banter at the end really derails some moments and it is amazing. All in all really nice people and amazing stories.

Hello folks, my name is Aaron and I have been listening to Lawful Stupid for all of campaign 2, eventually I will get to C1 I promise! Anyway, the cast is amazing, they keep things fun and light hearted while still delivering interesting and deep characters. Sean does a wonderful job as a DM even if he struggles for names of random NPC's. You cannot go wrong with this podcast if you enjoy laughs, occasional ridiculous moments, and of course, DRAGONS. And gold, don't forget the gold!

I am only a few episodes in while writing this (ep15). However it is funny/interesting enough to have me listen to all of the early episodes and completely ignore all the early stage sound quality. 6 out of 5 stars and glad to see episodes still coming out to this day.

One of the best group of people to play the game. They keep it natural don’t try to hard to be overtop. They just have a lot of fun and are a tremendous joy to listen to.

This podcast walks the tightrope between serious story telling and fun silly humor expertly. With friendly banter that happens organically between a good group of buds who all seem to have a knack for telling a tale and creating characters who are engaging and you can’t help but root for. Lawful stupid is a podcast that I get excited for the release of every episode and makes the Monday’s just a bit more bearable.

First, my reviews are as honest as I can make them. Not saying others are not; but it seems like people usually just give 1’s and 5’s but I try to give constructive reviews. Most things are not cap (1*) or perfect (5*). I’m still listening to the first season. Some of the earlier episodes suffered from audio issues but they are fixed by episode 21. PROS - Good story (when the players aren’t actively doing everything in their power to derail it). - Entertaining group - DM of the first season has some great home brew ideas and allows the players to be very creative (sometimes too much) CONS - If you prefer strong mechanics then you may want to listen to later episodes when I assume they’ve hammered out all their disagreements on how certain spells/situations should play out. - There’s one player who I would not be surprised if he was “exaggerating” his rolls sometimes. It just seems awful convenient how whenever he really wants to succeed at something he just so happens to get the right roll. He also gets more “natural 20’s” than anyone else on the podcast by far. - That same player can sometimes portray himself as the “I know best” type, often steamrolling over others ideas (including the DM’s) and forcing things in a direction he prefers. Normally player agency is exciting and makes things interesting but it can often sacrifice story development and narrative just so his character can “win”. There’s definitely potential for this to be rated higher. Perhaps after completing the remaining episodes I’ll update my review. I heard the player mentioned in the CON section actually becomes the DM so maybe that’s a better fit for his need to be in control. Here’s hoping because this group seems great.

I have just started to get into D&D during quarantine, and this podcast has been super great to listen to on my way to and from work. Thank you guys for the work you do! I started listening to this podcast roughly 3 weeks ago. I started with campaign 2, and now I’m all caught up. This podcast is fantastic and is the only thing I’ve listened to these last few weeks. To further that I was so sad when I caught up that I decided to start at the very beginning. I just finished up season 1 and am just as enthralled. This podcast has certainly brightened my days and given me inspiration for my own campaigns. Keep up the fantastic work :).

I have listened to TAZ and loved it. Love Sneak Attack. And I’m sorry for advertising other podcasts but there is a large graveyard of other dnd podcasts that I’ve started and quit. I really wasn’t sure when I started with this one but something kept bringing me back. Now I rank it with the other two I mentioned above. I’ve been binge listening to it over the last month while I work in my yard or drive around for work. I’m almost caught up. A podcast is awesome to me when it makes me feel like I’m hanging out with friends(you guys are awesome) and also when my imagination is stimulated. Sometimes I have to stop the podcast and write down my thoughts. Thanks for being a lovely group of people. Also, holy smokes Shane, I just listened to a very dark episode. Poor canines.

After bouncing around a half dozen or more dnd podcasts I can firmly say this group is top tier, unsurpassed in quality RP and storytelling. I cannot give this podcast enough praise.

I just started playing D&D a few weeks ago. I didn’t realize there were live play podcasts and I’m so pleased that I looked for podcast content and discovered Lawful Stupid. The guys crack me up so much. I’ve learned a lot about role playing as well as the mechanics of the game in listening and I’ve pretty much been bingeing this show. Keep the adventures coming boys!!

These guys make you laugh and cry! Great descriptions and a mix of D&D/thematic storytelling. Best episodes are when they don't take themselves too seriously. Clearly all these folks are good friends and their friendship makes listening to the show amazing.

I have been a long time listener of Lawful Stupid and they are the best people I have known! I am excited to see what happens in *dramatic music* Campaign 2. Keep up the amazing stories and I can not wait to see what happens from here.
