cam6876Awesome and down to earthAbsolutely love the information covered in these episodes. If you have a question, they’ve done an episode on it. Totally been binging while on maternity leave and breastfeeding my 2nd baby.

AdriannethemidwifeYes!I recently discovered this podcast while perusing the internet for validation that my 19 month old not yet sleeping through the night is normal, and that I’m not alone. I found a blog post by Wendy that made me feel so reassured and it was such a breath of fresh air. I looked closer at the website and realized that she also had a podcast, so I gave it a listen. I cannot express how refreshing it is to hear all of my personal thoughts stated by others in podcast form!! The first episode on the list happened to be about sleeping through the night, which was exactly the area I needed support in, so I honestly feel like me stumbling upon this fantastic podcast was destiny. I am a hospital based midwife, and see and hear all of the discouraging things that come along with working in that setting (unnecessary formula supplementation, negative feelings and opinions on cosleeping, etc etc) so will definitely be referring my patients to this podcast before birth even happens, to help set them up for success. Thank you thank you thank you!

WhitneyHarris2016The best!I found this podcast sometime after having my first child in 2019. We had quite a struggle in the beginning of our breastfeeding relationship but this podcast helped me stay sane through it all. It also helped validate what I knew in my heart to be true even when those around me had their own LOUD opinions. I contribute a lot of our success to Abby and Diane. We were able to BF until age 3 and even through pregnancy and then tandem feeding with my second. My second is still going strong at 3 yo and we welcomed our third baby at the end of 2024. I found comfort re-listening to many episodes while pregnant and will continue to listen and point others to this podcast for help. In a culture (USA) where there is so much working against us and so much misinformation, I love the no nonsense, logical, and evidence based approach of these wonderful humans.

Midwest crunchy momNew listener and new mom!I’ve been breastfeeding my baby for almost three months, and I’m headed back to work soon. I was looking for something to talk me through that separation from baby and how to navigate pumping and breastfeeding, and I absolutely love this podcast. Thank you!

claireemcconnellMust for BFing MomsCompletely changed by confidence level with breastfeeding with my first. I am enough and my body knows what to do. Looking forward to listening again now that I have a second coming.

Gina PetersenMy comforting breastfeeding companion!Press play on any episode- it’s the breast podcast ever! Thank you, Dianne and Abby, for your insight, validation, mythbusting, normalizing and reality checks. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve felt welcomed into the Circle of Motherhood. While in the car or in the nursery at 3am, listening feels like something I can do for me and to learn while “hanging out with the girls.” I appreciate not just the knowledge but the wisdom you share about all things breastfeeding. I only wish I found this podcast sooner when cluster feeding made me doubt everything at 1 week postpartum. I share with all my breastfeeding and soon-to-be postpartum friends so they feel empowered sooner. Forever grateful to you both for the goodness you bring to us mamas and our babies!

C, LaurenGreat breastfeeding support! As a first time mom, I had no idea where to get information about taking care of baby after birth. Thankfully, I found this podcast a shortly after my son was born. Now I have been exclusively breastfeeding for 6 months and I’m so glad I stuck with it. This podcast is a great resource for knowledge AND support. It has helped me gain confidence with nursing in public and trusting my gut and my body to know how to care for my growing boy.
-
Preeti C.Entertaining and Informative! As an obsessive researcher I wanted all the information I could get about breastfeeding, so I appreciated the sheer massive number of episodes. I also appreciate the repetition of information so that it sticks! I gave birth in July 2024 to a beautiful baby boy. My birth was not ideal (c-section, preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome). If I was not equipped with the information I got here I’m not sure I would be exclusively breastfeeding now at almost 8 months! I surpassed my 6 month goal, thank you!

AlynndaysAlexa play “Got what I need” by Freddie ScottI had my son mid August of 2022 and had NO idea of what was to come. A lot of crying was happening for the first year. After a year was when I found this podcast and got my ease of mind that I wasn’t the only one going through the struggles of BF. I fully breastfed up until my son was 19m. The day after his second birthday I started my job as a Breastfeeding peer counselor at my local WIC office. Now I am almost 8 months in and will be beginning my journey on acquiring an IBCLC through pathway 1. It was this podcast that changed my views on breastfeeding from the start. In the profession of helping others, they will most likely have the answers you might need. ❤️

MissmatiaMotivation during the rough timesI found this podcast with my first son. He had a high pallet and tongue tie which caused our breastfeeding relationship to have a very rough start. Finding this podcast helped me stay motivated to ensure we were successful. Breastfeeding was so important to me and I felt so much better and more knowledgeable every time I listened to an episode. Thank you for your honest, factual and funny demeanor. I share this podcast with everyone I know. I’m now breastfeeding my 1 month old daughter and am determined to make it at least 1 year. Thank you for promoting breastfeeding and reminding everyone there’s no shame breastfeeding in public!

e_kaye_uA great resourceI love this podcast. Someone on a Reddit thread recommended it to me, and I am so thankful. I am surrounded by so many people who know nothing about breastfeeding and breastfed babies (including uncertified lactation “counselors” and dinosaur pediatricians and friends who breastfed) telling me I’m crazy for things like not giving a 9 oz bottle of breast milk to my 4 month old before bed. Or crazy that I’m not worried about baby sleeping through the night right now. For the record, baby is gaining weight just fine and has plenty of wet and dirty diapers and my current pediatrician is so happy with how baby is doing. I’ve held on to my beliefs that I know what’s best for my baby and trusted my gut, however it’s been so disheartening. In this podcast, I feel like I have a support system, confidant, and a knowledge base to consult whenever I need. Thank you to both of you for doing what you do! I no longer feel like a crazy person (just a little rage-y about all of the misinformation).

Eliza ODA must listen!I found this podcast when my baby boy was 6 months and we were struggling with bottle refusal. After listening to one episode, I was hooked and have continued to listen any chance I get. I wish I found this podcast sooner while I was in the trenches of new motherhood. I relate so much to these ladies and feel supported in my breastfeeding journey. I recommend this podcast to any new mom looking to breastfeed. We care currently 12 months in and going strong.
-
mbadagLove it!As a first time mom, I’m so grateful I’ve found this informative podcast. Thank you for sharing so many topics on breastfeeding. I’ve been sharing with fellow pregnant and mama friends.

Mama LoLo!So relieved to know my body makes enough milk for baby!I absolutely love this podcast! I am a first time mom, I did a lot of research and took a breastfeeding class while pregnant. However, this podcast has taught me more than I could have ever learned on my own about breastfeeding! So happy I have found this podcast & I recommend it to all of my expecting and mommy friends! I feed my baby on demand & always have. Early on I was pumping. I rarely pump now because my freezer was getting extremely full and my daughter prefers her milk straight from the source; mommy’s nipple (: Which is fine by me! Less bottle & pump part washing. Shout out to you guys for teaching me about the Milk Bank Challenge. I happily donated 250 oz to a local milk bank. They even had a courier come to my house to pick the milk up making it extremely convenient. One night I was devastated to see that I only pumped a few drops of milk from one breast. I feared that my breast feeding journey was coming to an end way quicker than I imagined. The following day I learned from your podcast that you cannot measure breastmilk by pumping! The amount you pump does not dictate how much milk baby is getting. The timing of learning that couldn’t have been better. I was no longer afraid & was extremely confident that my breastfeeding journey is going to continue as long as baby & I would like. Your podcast reassured me that baby IS getting enough milk, regardless of what was being pumped. It was just so relieving to hear that my body is producing exactly what my baby needs. I’m still exclusively breastfeeding at 7 months postpartum and can’t be more happy! I feel so empowered to feed my baby ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. (: I want to encourage other mothers to do the same! Thank you guys for this podcast and for being so amazing and informative! I will forever and always listen and recommend to all of my mommy friends!

Dangitkaren1st time breastfeeder, 2nd time momI wish I would’ve found this podcast sooner. I started to listen when I went back to work 6wks pp. That probably would’ve been the end of my journey but this podcast gave me the reassurance that if I wanted to I could continue and if I didn’t that that would be ok too. We’re now a week away from celebrating her 1st birthday and we’re still breastfeeding! Dianne and Abby helped us through supply dips, informed us about cosleeping and teething, and gave me the confidence I needed to nurse in public.

MorganM517Lifesaver!I started listening after another mom podcast I regularly listen to suggested this one. I am hooked! They have great personalities that keep me listening (I usually listen on Spotify but wanted to review over here). My baby is currently almost 12 weeks old and he has only gotten breast milk- in the beginning this was very tough and I wish I had found the podcast sooner!

NicoleNewton7287Best advice EVER!I found this podcast when I was pregnant and doing research on breastfeeding. The women in my family didn’t breastfeed so I didn’t have a lot of advice nor have I seen a lot of people in my life breastfeeding. You girls have made me trust my body so much! We are only in the beginning of our breastfeeding journey at 6 weeks but things are going so well and have been since day one! I got so many compliments at the hospital for me and my husband’s knowledge about positions, colostrum, and everything else. I hand extracted colostrum many weeks before I gave birth and I really think that helped me learn my breasts and how to get the milk out for those first couple days of breastfeeding. Highly recommend extracting colostrum before baby’s born! Thank you for all your knowledge and making me trust my body and my baby.

Melissa Ann12Most informative rabbit holes!I am so glad I found this podcast! I am not one that usually listens to talk shows or podcasts but I have been made a follower by the amazing support and information that comes from listening to these ladies! On the occasion that a show goes down a rabbit hole (as any conversation with a best friend or sister can go) it is always with quality information and is easy to follow back to the original topic which I believe is a gift to keep people interested with the natural branching of conversations. I found this podcast at 4 months breastfeeding and my boy is almost 10 months now and though I was always determined to breastfeed as close to 2 years as I could get it eased my anxiety about the ups and downs I was not expecting. With my continuing to exclusively breastfeed I find my community of like minded individuals gets smaller the older he gets because so many have gone to just bottles or weaned early and I thank you for being part of my village.

Ashley C from IowaFavorite first time mom podcast!Absolutely loving this podcast as a first time mom. No one told me how challenging breastfeeding would be and how different each week and stage would be. I am currently 4 months postpartum and run to this podcast for almost every challenge we face and try to stay off the dreaded Google. I had a pretty traumatic birth and was being told we needed to supplement and bottle feed. I’m glad I stuck to my guns and continued to latch baby. From hospital staff “rules” to oversupply and reflux to latch changes and distracted feeding, I have learned so much and have also been able to lean into my own intuition with the information I take from these ladies. Would recommend to all moms wishing to purse a breastfeeding journey and have told several friends to give it a listen!
-
BeeBeeRNInformative and FunnyAs a fellow LC, I love listening to these two lovely ladies speak about everyday, real issues as well as special topics related to breastfeeding! Give it a listen, you won’t regret it!
-
BCB09Thank You!!I am SO SO glad that I found this podcast. I am a huge history nerd and I loved the episode about formula marketing and I am now very interested in reading The Politics of Breastfeeding. More importantly though, I have had anxiety since college and having a baby has ROCKED my world and turned it upside down. I did not find this podcast until about 3 months postpartum. I wish I had found it sooner, because I struggled so hard with breastfeeding at the beginning and had a lot of issues, I even went to multiple lactation consultants and one of them had me triple feed, which was unsustainable. Eventually my baby figured it out and I am so happy that we get to continue our breastfeeding journey. I wanted to breastfeed so bad and I am so glad that eventually it worked out. Thank you for being friends that are reassuring me as I continue! ❤️❤️❤️
-
CassilyJohnsonLove!!First time mom, my doula sent me an episode and got me hooked. I love the honesty and straightforwardness. 10/10 would (and will) recommend!!
-
Mohoep22This podcast is EVERYTHING!I found this podcast when I was pregnant and thank God I did. In preparation for my baby, I read four books, attended two in person classes, and read all the blogs I could get my eyes on, and all of that paled in comparison with this podcast! I had an unplanned cesarean birth, a short stay in the NICU, and then was hospitalized a month later with a pulmonary embolism with infarction (blood clot in my lung with partial lung death), and because of this podcast, I remained confident in my babe and I’s breast feeding capabilities. We are now four months into our breast feeding journey and going strong! These ladies not only educate on breastfeeding but also provide information on a wide variety of newborn/motherhood topics. They answered questions I didn’t even know I had, and I’m so thankful that I found this podcast when I did. ❤️

Sblair19Wish I found it sooner!I wish I found this podcast sooner! I am 12 months in breastfeeding my twin boys and starting to wean them. The episodes are so helpful to get true information rather than trying to google things. The one on post weaning depression really helped me realize my feelings about weaning and the hormonal and emotional change that I am about to go through. I would highly recommend anyone who is breastfeeding listen.
-
Lea Katherine KlumppSuper helpful and fun to listen to!I have been exclusively and on demand breastfeeding my now four month old. It’s the best! I’m so grateful for the extensive list of topics covered in the podcast. I love the breastfeeding world so much that I’m now pursuing my IBCLC while home with my babe. Not only does the podcast help my own breastfeeding journey but it also has been supplemental to my education and makes it easier to remember with the fun stories that go along with it. One of my favourite topics was nursing in public. After listening to that episode, my partner and I sat down and discussed what he and I would say if ever approached in a negative way. We both feel more confident and better prepared because of our conversation. I hope this podcast continues to empower other breastfeeding mamas the way it has me! Thank you!
-
mondathepirateWanted to like thisI really wanted to like this podcast.. but after two episodes it’s just ranting and complaining. They stated that “most medications except cancer drugs are safe when breastfeeding” which just didn’t true especially when it comes to mental health prescriptions. Listened to an entire episode about supplementation to learn when it’s necessary and they never spoke about that.
-
Shelby_Lynn_BSo Helpful!!!I started listening to this podcast while I was pregnant and I’m so happy I did!! I have so much confidence with breastfeeding that I don’t think I would have had otherwise! My OB and baby’s pediatrician both have advocated for breastfeeding, but then my baby only gained 2oz between weeks 3 & 5, so her doctor recommended supplementing with formula. I had a total meltdown and cried all day. But then, because of this podcast, I called my hospital’s lactation department and made an appointment. They helped me figure out the issue! Now I am nursing when I’m home and supplementing with pumped milk, and pumping enough for baby get my milk while I’m working as well! My baby is 3 months old now, gaining weight so much better, and absolutely thriving!! Thank you ladies for what you are doing for breastfeeding moms!

Ready to WeanMore than just Breast SupportThis podcast is the equivalent of a high quality bra. The support these ladies give during all stages of motherhood is exceptional. From listening to this podcast, I have learned to respect myself as a mother kindly and patiently. I learned to recognize the importance of my breastfeeding child’s needs AND my own. This podcast was the support I needed to fight off all the noise at every stage of my journey. This podcast gave me the strength to stand up for myself and recognize support versus non supportive behavior of the people around me. This podcast is the unsung hero of my breastfeeding journey, just as a supportive bra is the unsung hero of a good run, great night out, sitting, standing, or lounging. I gained confidence and trust in myself as a first time mother, first time breastfeeding mother, and first time boundary reinforcer. I am ready to wean. I know my two year old son is ready too. It’s because of this podcast I know what to do next. Thank you for everything and keep doing the unsung hero’s work of supporting boobs when no one else will.

CrisF238SLP & CLCI just opened up an LLC for lactation support and all things feeding therapy related. I still refer to your podcast for topics as it got me through both my pregnancies and breast-feeding journeys without a doubt. I breastfed my now 4y/o for a year and still working on weaning my 2.5yr “Momma’s boy,” as my husband refers to him, and he’s not wrong (and I don’t hate it). I don’t know how I didn’t write a review yet!? You guys know SO much, are honest, woke, and reassuring. My best advice for new moms is to trust our bodies- we are made to do amazing things! I hear myself repeating things you’ve said on the podcasts to the mothers I’ve helped and smile knowing I learned so much from you both. Thank you.
-
Ally24LimitlessSuch a great resource!I’m a certified childbirth educator and have worked in maternal health for 5 years. I thought i had a have a pretty decent amount of knowledge starting out on my breastfeeding journey, but was quickly humbled when I faced a tongue tie, bottle refusal, and “slow weight gain” (not actually slow, biologically normal for a breastfed baby). This podcast is incredibly informative and empowering and I now recommend it to lots of my childbirth education clients. It’s a great resource! Thanks to this podcast (and local support from an IBCLC) my little one and I are 6 months into our journey of exclusive breastfeeding and I’m excited to continue learning as we go along
-
Amy ForceSo helpfulI’m a first time mom and breastfeeding has started out with so much difficulty. This podcast has come to the rescue for so many issues that have come up, from over supply to nipple shields and hunger cues. I highly recommend listening and am so grateful for this resource as I go forward!
-
CMBishop02Invaluable podcastStarted listening while pregnant with my second (3 months now) was so stressed about making enough milk, what I ate affecting my babe, Diane & Abby cleared up any worry’s I had. They’re funny & full of knowledge. Touch on so many subjects. My favorite part of my day is listening to their podcast. Would love to hear about lactation treats if they’re really able to boost supply I get ads for them all the time. Thanks for doing what you do! You ladies rock!
-
AstoerkelSo many wonderful discussions to support breastfeeding mother but…Please don’t refer to us as birthing persons in the name of inclusivity. Only women can breastfeed and it’s our divine right as WOMEN and MOTHERS that we can feed our babies with our womanly bodies.
-
EriLash327Love these ladies!I love the hosts and this podcast! They are very helpful and keep it real with all the breastfeeding by tips and advice. Highly recommend for post-partum mamas!
-
Catrina 315Great resource!I just discovered this podcast a few weeks ago! I’ve found Abby and Diane to be so comforting and encouraging in my breastfeeding journey. Thank you so much for what you do!
-
JMTBaumGreat resource! Thanks a bunch for sharing information on so many topics. You have been a huge help to me and my son on our breastfeeding journey. 1 year in and going strong 👍
-
Kate~KI Feel Supported! As a first time mom I quickly learned how unsupportive many people are over a breastfeeding journey. I’ve come to realize most that are unsupportive are simply uneducated, this podcast has helped me feel supported and given me the knowledge to educate others. Thank you!
-
CuriousariThe reason I was successful!I started listening to this podcast during the last few months of my second pregnancy. My first attempt at breastfeeding didn’t work out at all, and I had been sad ever since. And determined for it to work with my second baby. Thanks to this podcast I learned about what to expect, how to prepare, and how to advocate for myself and my baby… and as a result I went on to successful breastfeed my baby for over a year. I’m so grateful for all that I learned. Thank you!
-
MaddixrulesOne of a kind resourceThis podcast is by far the most helpful pod I’ve listened to! All the knowledge and inspiration has helped me so much! 10 months nursing with my babe and counting. Idk when I’ll wean but I know ill have these two ladies to thank for a successful journey!!
-
cylee-sueLife saver! 16 months and countingI wish I had found this podcast BEFORE I got pregnant instead of around 3 months when I went back to work and started having supply (daycare) problems! This podcast gave me the confidence to stand my ground and know what is biologically normal for my baby! 16 months later, we are still nursing! Thank you so much for sharing all this wealth of knowledge!
-
AnnaMarieKlaThese ladies are the best!!!When I was very pregnant and anxious about breastfeeding not going well, I discovered this podcast by fate and started listening non stop!! Dianne and Abby gave me the confidence I needed to get off to a good start with breastfeeding. My baby is now 1 month and we are both still learning new skills everyday. Our breastfeeding journey is off to an amazing start. I will be going back to work PRN when maternity leave is over and was nervous about alternating between the breast and bottle. These ladies helped me know exactly what to do! My baby is doing a great job going back and forth- 1 bottle a day with my husband and the rest of the feedings by breast. Anytime I have a new question or concern pop up, I search for it in your podcast archives and if for some reason I can’t find it there (you’ve covered just about everything!!), I know I can ask the lactation consultants at our breastfeeding clinic. Thank you again for what you do Abby and Dianne! -Anna
-
Humidity FighterTruly Helpful Information!!!O how I wish I had found this while I was pregnant! I discovered this wonderful show about a month postpartum and it was SO helpful and informative. I was having a rough go with breastfeeding and had had a difficult time with a local lactation expert, but these ladies truly made me feel like I would be ok and would figure it out. Now 3 months postpartum and my baby and I are still going strong!!
-
Cfife44I rave about this podcast.I tell all the mamas and mamas-to-be about this podcast! So helpful for me because nobody in my family breastfed before I did. Such great info! Thanks.
-
0103@#Great showThank you for being real ! Normalize breastfeeding in public
-
kcarter830A must listen for breastfeedingThis podcast was suggested to me by my midwife before birth and I’m beyond thankful. Breastfeeding was the biggest source of anxiety for me going into motherhood - I’d heard so many stories of it not working out that I was worried it would happen to me too. What I’ve learned while listening helped me to feel confident when it came time to feed my son the first time, to advocate for us both when we ended up in the NICU and they wanted to over feed him and supplement with formula, what hunger cues look like, and when it was time to reach out to my friendly local IBCLC (Diane!) when my oversupply became too uncomfortable. The breastfeeding 101/102, all the newborn ones, and myths episodes are so helpful for basics. We are still very early in our breastfeeding journey but I know that there’s an episode for everything we could run into. Thank you both for making me laugh and for being such a wealth of knowledge. We couldn’t do this without you.
-
ElizabethG013EmpoweringI found this podcast when looking for advice on returning to work while breastfeeding and I am so thankful I did!! I’ve learned so much from Dianne and Abby and look forward to new episodes each week. I’ve gained so much confidence and empowerment through this podcast, and am proud to say I’m going on 8 months strong breastfeeding! Thanks for everything you do!
-
AhaverkampFormer Judgey Sister in Law - Now Empowered Breastfeeder!I’m ashamed to admit, before this podcast, I judged my own SIL for bf while drinking a beer. I had no idea!! I was such a b. I actually apologized to her after listening to this podcast and soaking in all this bf knowledge! I will admit, I was always in awe of her breastfeeding experience with both her boys, and I was also envious. With my first child, I had no idea what I was doing and our breastfeeding relationship ended super fast, with pumping not lasting more than 3 months. I’m SO thankful for this podcast!!! With my second baby, I was determined to breastfeed!!! I listened to this podcast throughout my entire pregnancy. I was armed with so much knowledge when my daughter was born from listening to this podcast! I was able to breastfeed her through, over supply, under supply, clogged ducts, mastitis, and pumping 3 times a day at work for her first year!! I share this podcast with all my pregnant mommy friends and tell them if you’re planning on breastfeeding I highly recommend this podcast!! Thank you ladies! I am 15 months in my breastfeeding relationship and it’s the most amazing, rewarding, while being hard at times, experience of my life!!
-
foxyflair@gmail5 starsLove listening to you ladies! You guys are super helpful and encouraging and have given me tremendous confidence in my breastfeeding journey, which btw has been a HUGE success for me and my daughter! Two thumbs up and 5 stars all the way! * (Can I seriously drink while breastfeeding? I have listened to that episode 3 times. I am nervous me drinking effects my baby. Can you please share your data with me on that? Or can we chat about it sometime?) *
