    No longer as inspiring
Recent podcasts episodes are no longer relatable. More emphasis on the hosts’ personal lives (things that should remain private tbh). Something am not interested in.

    Practical advice and inspiration
I’m flooding my subconscious with proof that it’s possible to succeed like the guests. A great podcast given my background as a developer. I got specific action steps from the podcast. And it’s great to see that people with the same constraints as me still succeeded.

Great show-I didn’t grow up w/the coding or start up knowledge but shows like yours def help me think outside the box as a small box owner. I love the new direction w/your brother Courtland. And I loved hearing your mom on the show! She sounds awesome! Please invite her back. Do something w/“Earn Your Leisure” or “Brown Ambition” podcasts please 🙏🏾.

    Thanks, Courtland
I’ve been involved with the IndieHackers community since 2018. I found the forum online. It has massively helped me gain tons of tech and business expertise, and has inspired me to launch a few businesses of my own. I’ve learned more about business from this podcast and the online community than I did in my business degree program at University. The value of this community is immeasurable, and thanks to Courtland, his brother, the rest of the IH team, and the great people at Stripe, it’s available for free.

    Frustrating at times
This podcast is kind of hit or miss for me. It is often good but sometimes it’s really feels like a waste of time. The latest episode feels meandering and not really to the point. Maybe I missed something but it feels like a waste of an hour at times.

    Trove of valuable content
Just discovered this podcast and I’m looking forward to learning more about the Indie Hacker community. Two episodes from the archives have already helped me hone a business idea I’ve been working on, while also introducing me to another resource that’s going to be an immense help (Newsletter Crew). Thanks for putting out a quality show ... I’ll be diving deep into past episodes!

Great Resource for Indie Founders with Actual Details on Both the Business and Human Side of Things
I have been listening to this podcast since episode 0 with sporadic breaks. My main problem with IH pod is that I can't listen to it while walking or doing other chores *because* I constantly have the urge to jot down notes or look things up. The quality of guests is excellent. All interviews go into great detail on exactly how the founders came up with ideas, what tools they used to build the product/business, marketing and sales, distribution channels. The host also makes it a point to focus on the human side of things. I especially enjoy the questions around human psychology, motivation, money, decision-making, and quality of life. The net sum of all startup/business advice is zero, meaning they cancel each other out. But if you listen carefully to enoughIH episodes you definitely spot patterns in what all those who succeed have in common. (I'm currently going a marathon of listening to 26 episodes in 26 days...before I go on a advice consumption diet for rest of 2021). I've been listening since 2016 but it has never occured to me to leave a review. The consistent CTA at the end of each episode finally worked. So here we are!

    Hard to listen to
Feel like Courtland likes to hear himself talk. Would rather hear more from the interviewee.

    My oldest listen
Indie Hackers is the podcast I’ve been listening to the longest. I’m so grateful that host Courtland Allen popularized the whole indie-hacker concept, which legitimized an ambitious and creative class of people who were always there but whose approach hadn’t been validated. Now it has, and it’s growing like crazy. But I digress. As to the podcast itself, Courtland is a great interviewer — upbeat, great questioner, great listener, always teasing out patterns from his guests’ stories that the rest of us can learn from and apply. Thanks Courtland for your work, and for championing indie entrepreneurship.

    Love hearing the small stories
From someone who has listened to podcasts like How I Built This and The Tim Ferris Show, it is fascinating to hear the stories of smaller entrepreneurs and their own journeys. Sam’s story about Crave is a classic counter example to the ideas of people like Peter Thiel who have these set criteria for businesses that should revolutionize the world. Sometimes there are much simpler endeavors to undertake, and I appreciate the insights into helping those endeavors grow successfully.

    A must listen for entrepreneurs!
It's always fun to not only get a behind the scenes look at how other entrepreneurs own and operate their businesses, but how they came to be in the first place. This podcast is not only full of amazing business advice and resources, but its really entertaining and reminds you of the camaradery and tenacity of the entrepreneurial sector and its members!

Best way to learn about bootstrapping
Great, honest conversations. There aren’t many podcasts that give an unfiltered view into the “highs” and “lows” that necessarily come along with building a company. Something to learn from every episode.

    Extremely Inspirational
Hey Courtland, I really enjoy listening to these podcasts, and it has pushed me to try and build more publicly online and in my community. Recently my university published a small article about my app (still in beta), Sympl, a course marketplace for Generation Z. And even with that people have reached out to me.

    Great Questions. Better Answers.
Courtland does an amazing job of asking precise questions. This stimulates answers that deliver actionable content and ideas. A fantastic podcast to support the "I want to do my own business" kind of person.

    Wow. Life-changing.
It took me a somewhat embarrassingly long time of wanting to start a SaaS business to decide that I'd do well to start surrounding myself with good role models who've done what I want to do. In the short time that I've been listening to the podcast and involved in the community, I've already noticed subtle changes in my brain and outlook. I've gone from feeling generally like I am so far off from reaching my goals, to indeed feeling like eventual success is inevitable if I keep working at it, and that all the challenges and doubts I've encountered along the way are just necessary steps on the path. So anyway, suffice it to say. I recommend the podcast, and can't say enough about the community.

    Pure content
Great among other startup-ish podcasts. No non-sense, no fillers, pure content. Bonus for clear and understandable speech for non-native speakers (can speak a bit slower though)

    I’m late to the game
Maybe Courtland isn’t good at marketing 😀 but for some reason I’m just now stumbling upon this podcast. Courtland really shines as one of the best if not the best podcast interviewer I’ve ever listened to. He has an innate ability to apply great lessons from previous conversations to every new conversation he’s in. I have so much to learn from him.

    If there's one podcast ...
If there's one podcast you must listen to as a beginning, seasoned, or even super experienced founder it's The Indie Hackers Podcast. Every single episode offers me new insights, ideas, pointers to sites, apps, and books, life advice, technical advice, and perspectives from smart people. Courtland is a very good interviewer. He listens carefully, isn't putting him on the forefront, and makes the interviewee comfortable to discuss even difficult topics like failures. The interviews are so good that I've back-listened all episodes.

    Courtland, simply the best
I hear a lot of podcasts about entrepreneurship, but I can tell you that the ones by Courtland in Indie Hackers are simply the best! In one episode, after some comments from the guest, Courtland asked if their churn rate could be low, just like this. The guest answered that yes, they had a churn rate below 1%, which is of course amazing. At this point my jaw dropped to the floor! How on earth was Courtland able to detect this? Well, he just has the most insightful podcast on the planet...
  • JohnLou4
Incredible show run by a talented host
It’s hard to believe Courtland wasn’t born to be the host of this extremely insightful podcast. His questions reveal his thoughtfulness and often echo my current thoughts at that moment. Through extremely natural conversations, you will learn about building your own profitable internet business and stay motivated if you’re already in the process of building one. Thank you for everything you do, Courtland! Keep up the good work.

A MUST listen, especially for budding entrepreneurs
I’m not quite sure how I found the Indie Hackers Podcast. I’m a non-technical solopreneur building an online school. So I’m not exactly looking for tech related podcasts. But I’m glad I found this gem. I believe it’s a must listen for any entrepreneur. I’ve learned so much in the last few months of listening to this podcast. In fact I end up listening to this podcast more than any other podcast. Primarily because my other go to podcasts of choice are long form and average 2 hours per episode. This podcast is legit for a variety of reasons. There are both shorter (30ish minutes) and slightly longer (60ish minutes). Courtland interviews a variety of entrepreneurs that you never know what you’re gonna learn, but you do know that you’ll learn something valuable. Keep up the great effort and work! I’m a Indie Hacker, and avid listener of this podcast.

    Having a Blast!
A friend hipped me to the Indie Hackers podcast a few months ago. I've been voraciously devouring the episodes one by one since then. I wish I had this podcast 10 years ago! More and more, I find a lot of value in connecting with other entrepreneurs. The podcast and the website in general are a great resource for sharing struggles and wins, as well as discovering radical, tim-saving and money making gems.

    My favorite podcast.
I learn so much listening to the Indie Hackers podcasts. Courtland is a great host. Easy to listen to, and very knowledgeable hosts. I actually went back and listened to dozens of previous episodes.

    A highlight of my week
I listen to each episode rather soon after they come out. Great source of motiviation and "learn the mistakes of others". It's the "age of the entrepreneur" and IH is one of those great ways to help us all achieve success in our generating our own income in the digital age.
