1996047Joining OYNB nearly 3 years ago has transformed my life!!I made a life changing decision nearly 3 years ago to change my relationship with alcohol. I had no idea that I was signing up for a new life both inside and out! Best decision I’ve ever made for myself and my family.

awarnockI identify With Everything HereAs a regular visitor to the One Year No Beer Facebook Group, I felt that it was only natural to check out the podcast. I am not exaggerating when I say that I would not be sober now if not for OYNB. This community, this challenge, this podcast, all of it… it works. Like Ruari said in the introduction to Series 2, hearing other people’s stories works. If you are a first-time listener, give it a chance, and then go check out the web site. It will open a world of opportunity for you.

LeshousA little gimmickyI’m new to OYNB, and am currently taking the 90 day challenge. I really love this idea, I’m totally onboard, and I’m grateful this community is here. I’m grateful for the emphasis the program takes on health and habit change. But, these podcasts seem a little gimmicky. I feel like I’m always being sold something after listening. A couple of episodes didn’t even have advice on the actual topic, but instead were just a sales pitch for the guest speaker’s program. They kinda feel like infomercials. Sorry, but that’s how I feel after listening to probably about 10-12 random podcasts over the past week. What would be better would be 20-30 min testimonials from regular people who have successfully stopped drinking using this program. I know there are a few in there, but those are the most beneficial to listeners on this difficult journey.

NothgirbAmazingly InspirationalThese two guys do such a fantastic job at inspiring and motivating you to give up alcohol!!! My husband and I are exercise and healthy eating advocates. We’ve been doing that for 10+ years consistently since our kids were old enough to leave home alone and we could go for a run or to the gym.....Half marathons turned into marathons and triathlons turned into half IronMan , all the while we enjoyed alcohol to relax. We’ve always drank alcohol and tend to binge more on the weekend to relax and let go and release stress from work, only to find that Monday mornings we would suffer, Tuesdays would be OK, Wednesday a little better and so on, until our energy was fully back to binge again Friday, Saturday, Sunday. This is the definition, in practice, of insanity and that’s where we were heading lol. Luckily a few years ago we came across One year no beer and slowly the insanity is lifting. We are starting to see clearly how alcohol affects our mind, our mood, our happiness. Eating healthy and exercising can not keep up with what alcohol breaks down! We are so grateful for this podcast and have extremely changed our relationship with alcohol and we look forward to one day being able to wear (earn) a shirt with OYNB 365!!!!!! Thank you Ruari & Andy. Best regards, Monica Monica

Suze NJInteresting discussions that challenge role of alcoholThese guys gave up drinking and discovered that it opened up a World of good things and they want to spread the word! They look at the science, psychology and social aspects of drinking and question ingrained attitudes. They have guests who are also alcohol free advocates as well as ordinary people who have kicked the booze. It’s an interesting listen for anyone who has ever questioned their relationship with alcohol.

Magic wadeAddictive (in a good way), transformative, and charming!I'm not a Podcast fiend. I spend most of my cooking/workout/driving time listening to books on Audible or NPR. However, when a good Podcast catches my attention I'll stick with it daily (sometimes twice per day!) and listen to every episode that I can. OYNB is exactly this type of Podcast. I decided to go alcohol free a few weeks ago, and I've been listening to this Podcast every morning and sometimes in the afternoon each day since. The hosts, Andy and Rauri, and various guests make each episode charming, inspiring, and educational. You don't need to have signed up for a challenge to appreciate this Podcast - and it isn't preachy or self-important about the benefits of quitting alcohol. It does, however, tackle all the challenges and benefits related to quitting drinking by providing personal accounts of people who have made this huge lifesyle change and don't want to go back. Highly recommended. I feel like Andy and Ruari are becoming my new best friends!

Eyes Wider OpenMoney grabbersThese are two brokers from England who want to make money off of other's suffering. I tried listening along with a friend who has a problem and all we got were upsells and podcasts where they say "AMAZING" every three words. Therse are a couple of hustlers who knnow nothing about the world of healthy rehab. They just keep closing down avenues to forums etc. in the name of making another buck. It's shameful! They are also painfully ignorant of proper grammar and spelling. Run, don't walk, away!!!
-

supershelly100Motivation at the touch of a button!I am a member of the OYNB community and was so excited when Ruari and Andy came out with this podcast! This is a podcast about so much more than giving up alcohol-it's about how great your life can be alcohol-free, and how your life can improve in ways you couldn't imagine! The guests come from all different walks in life, with the common theme of "being the best version of yourself" you can be! Give this a listen if you're ready to take your life to the next level! You'll be so glad you did!
