Genuinely curious how you both are so fond of white lotus finale and season 3 as a whole. This was truly not a good season. I enjoy being on board and watching each week but this wasn’t a good season. I was trying to convince myself it was better than it really was until I just came to terms with the reality that it was garbage. And you’re not seeing something artistically that I’m not. You almost lose any credibility for thinking it was ‘fantastic’.

I look forward to listening to Ross & Barrett cover some of my favorite shows. Great recaps, insights, funny banter, callbacks & pop culture references. Also Barrett’s laugh always makes me laugh. Ross: 100% agree with you regarding too much coverage in the previously on, inside, and preview clips. It’s too much. Just stop. I want to be surprised and since theorizing is part of the fun, I want that to come organically from the audience based on the episode. Too many breadcrumbs steals some of the joy & mystery. So you’re not alone on this point.

I made it through 2 episodes and had to stop. The whole show is a blow-by-blow of an episode but it winds up longer than the actual episode but without probing deeper into the content. I was looking for a podcast to cover the shows themes, provide insights, etc. and this wasn’t even close to it. I hope the hosts are better human beings than they came across as during the episodes I listened to because they really seemed like frat boys who didn’t grow up.

Thanks for wasting our time. Update update update: the decision making of this show by the leaders needs to be questioned. Firstly, not covering Silo, which they did cover season one, for Dune coverage instead is unforgivable. Secondly, interrupting Severance after doing the first few episodes, for White Lotus coverage, is also unforgivable. Especially for how nothing burger of a season this is turning out to be. I was into it up until the episode Killer Instincts, where again, nothing happened in the episode. Meanwhile Severance and Silo will probably sweep the Emmys. Make your decision making make sense, because as an audience member, I’m so frustrated with you guys. And to be fair, I started you guys with 5 stars and positive reviews and have docked you bit by bit as the management of this show gets more hectic. Just do better.

Carrie Coon (Laurie) is 44. Yet these guys call the female trio in the White Lotus season 3 “over the hill batties”. Not everyone is a thirty something guy. I am fascinated by this group dynamic. I think they manage to capture some of the uncomfortable truths of female friendship, albeit OTT. Once I heard the “over the hill” quote I realized this podcast is aiming for a narrow audience and as a woman over 40 I’m not it.

Been listening since GOT and I love how Ross and Barrett have kept the pod alive. They continue to discuss reputable shows— if they’re talking about it on OCC, I’m watching. Totally trust their taste 100%. They have such great takes and are hilarious, genuinely good guys! I feel like I’m talking to a friend when I listen. If you’re the type of person who likes high quality TV shows (intellectually stimulating, great plots or just made well in general) and have a tendency to analyze or discuss/debrief with someone after watching, this pod is for you!

I like the pod, but we don’t need a blow by blow episode recap—we’ve seen the episode and just want your takes and insights. Thank you.

Love Ross but Barrett ruins the show. He's smug, insulting and a know it all who knows nothing. He still after everything destroyed politically by his view on the world has TDS and is the epitome of ignorant. He embarrasses this show by his loving of all things wrong with the entertainment industry and why it is failing so hard. When I hear him talking down to people about Trump when 80% of the country voted for him I get sick to my stomach and would love to have a conversation informing him on reality. No thanks. Love Ross!

Generally enjoy the podcast. Found them way back during GOT days. Got political this week and I understand it’s bc the white lotus brought it up. Disappointing to listen to them sound morally superior per usual from the left. Not as drastic as most though. Another democrat that can’t admit any wrong doing from their party. Will continue to listen. Hopefully the tv show stops w the talk so they can don’t have to hear it on the podcast.

I love Ross and Barrett. Always have, stuck with these guys throughout GOT (even the last season), Succession, Last of Us, Severance, White Lotus. They are entertaining and I feel like I’m sitting with them while I listen to the pod and will even add in my 2 cents. Makes me look like a weirdo in my car but it’s cool bc it’s Ross and Barrett. I also have to commend these gentlemen on how they handled the latest White Lotus episode. Politics is never easy to discuss but they did it with such grace and confidence, made me love them even more!!!!

Been listening since 2017. These guys are fantastic. Mix of humor and in depth discussion with random references to other shows and current events. I always look forward to future episodes.

I’ve followed Ross since the TFM days! He’s hilarious and I’ve always appreciated his focus on mental health. OCC is the most entertaining podcast to accompany the biggest shows on MAX and more. Ross and Barrett are even more hilarious together. I never even try to find the “official” show podcasts because this one is so well done!

Came here to say that I generally enjoy the pod but it’s been pretty annoying to hear them say over and over that there’s nobody they represents them this season. You get representation in media so much more than any other gender/race/etc.

Love Ross and Bollen. They keep it light and fun. Always look forward to their episode releases.

All around a good podcast. Not a lot of pressure to understand what is happening in the shows they are talking about. I have recently started this podcast and has been listing to GOT & Night’s Watch. They make current event relations and social media references. The are super funny and light hearted. Brett’s laugh is the best part lol. So happy I found it and can’t wait to start all the other shows they binge.

I have listened to OCC since the GOT days, and I stay caught up with most shows they cover! Ross and Barrett have a great dynamic - their long time friendship/understanding of one another balances their sometimes differing interpretations of shows. They allow me to see things differently than I normally would, allow me and my husband to debate fun theories, and they also make me laugh which is the real reason I keep coming back. When they announced that Severance was going to Patreon, I was happy to jump on board and finally sign up! It’s easy to justify a few dollars a month for something that consistently brings me joy throughout my week (there’s not a lot of content that does right now), and I’m sorry I didn’t do it sooner! Keep doing what you’re doing 🤪

Love the show, been listening since 2018 when the were only covering GoT. Now they cover so many other fantastic shows. Ross and Barrett are the best.

I’ve been listening to the show for several years. What started as the best GOT podcast, has turned into my go-to pod for after-show coverage of the best shows on TV. Could not recommend it more- also the Patreon is well worth it.
