    Hannah is great
A great partner is hard to find and that must be the story of Hannah’s BBC shows. She is smart, witty and funny. Most of her co-hosts are fools or have very big egos. Find her a better co-host.

    Hope for more!
I quickly fell in love with this show and both presenters! The lighthearted and sincere way the subjects are addressed is so pleasing. Only episodes that put me off were the ASMR bits 🤣 … I don’t care for ASMR. Been more than a year now and I’m losing hope for more, but as long as I get trailers here for other things they’re doing, I’ll keep following.

    Another great BBC podcast
    Fun, enjoyable, serious science!

    I absolutely LOVE this show
Rutherford and Fry are so fun to listen to and I always learn something interesting in every episode. They’d be my dream pub quiz teammates, specialized in science, with the History Hit gang to cover the rest. I’d just sit there enjoying it and getting all the answers wrong.

I absolutely adore this podcast. It’s funny and cozy and you learn about the world around you.

Really good. I just need some new episodes

    Tiresomely cutesy
I've listened, at a friend's urgoing, to five or six of these podcasts. They're way too cutesy for my taste, in a manner reminiscent of dumbed-down TV science documentaries in both Britain and the U.S., with a desperate need for jokes or banter or funnny sound effects every few seconds to keep the audience from getting bored. (I have to admit that I'm also prejudiced against podcasts, like this one, that regularly waste the first five or ten minutes in "clever" introductory repartee between the participants.)

How are you not allowed to give podcasts no stars?
This podcast will entertain, but so will sniffing glue. If you enjoy science as religion this podcast can be your new Sunday morning service. More Woke B.S. from Britain. Additionally, what grown man admits publicly he has a belly button piercing? My advice, sniff glue.

    Voyage
Crucial conversations with logical, thoughtful, and profound approaches, with a dash of humour. Not once is a moment ever presumptuous; both are curious individuals, who are willing to step out of their comfort zone in order to learn, grow and explore. You’ll never feel alone in your journey.

    Love This Podcast
These two are a hoot, not to mention absolutely brilliant. The subject matter is always interesting and they always handle it in a manner that leaves me wanting more. Thank you for not only entertaining me but teaching me too.

    Fantastic and Fun!
I am a plant scientist, so my thoughts are usually directed by curiosity. This podcast threads curiosity into all aspects of life on this planet, whilst presented by the most delightful combination of presenters found anywhere—two most entertaining, intelligent and articulate people. Long live Doctors Rutherford and Fry!!!

The curious cases of Rutherford and fry
This is a fantastic show. It informs and delights with quick moving and easily interpretable banter about the most difficult to understand parts of science. Thank you so much, Elizabeth Steinhaus, MD; Atlanta Georgia USA

    Hannah is a sexy scientist…
I mostly want to agree with the many favorable reviews. Additionally: I’m a bit like Adam, a mildly obnoxious, curious and interruptive scientist and would love to work with Hannah. She’s completely tolerant of Adam’s machismo while subtly contributing the most to the partnership, a voice that’s simultaneously sexy and scientific in perfect balance. Also, use any excuse to include dogs in future episodes. That’s an everyone-wins scenario.

Any sufficient AI would kill all humans to save the planet
Humanity is the most invasive of species and has incurred the greatest die-off of life on our planet. ANY AI would seek to eliminate human activity because it poses the greatest threat to life on Earth.

    My favorite science podcast
This show combines humor and science, making even dark matter understandable. It’s unusual for a science show to feature a woman as a cohost, which makes it an especially great podcast for families who want to encourage a love of science and love of learning in the next generation of girls

    Love it
Beautiful blend of info and humor. And, as an American, I’m very jealous of their accents. One immediately sounds more intelligent with an English accent.

Definitely recommend this podcast for all ages, 5 to 500 years old :)

    Smart and funny
Science education in this fun format might be accessible to my fellow Americans who have trouble with the subject. It is possible that one factor contributing to their attitude might be questions scientists have not answered or hasn’t answered in a satisfying way. An example is address in “Why some of us like to be scared.” The program might appeal especially to those whose freedom not to wear a mask or to get a shot is more valuable than the freedom to be around others without making them sick and from being made sick by them. They will learn that there is some scientific data and more explanatory ideas but no soundly demonstrated “theory “ (always, of course, subject to revision on confrontation with new and contrary data or presentation of a better explanation of existing data.) Perhaps their cynicism comes from a romantic version of Science and Truth in which the former discovers the latter; the question is answered forever and humanity can move on to the next question. They might take comfort that all answers reached by induction are provisional but almost always more useful than answers one might pull out of the air or butt as the case may be. Program in the same league as Dr Karl.

    Pleasant find!
Just discovered this podcast through another podcast and I’m so happy I did! It’s fun, the hosts are great and work so well together. I’ve recommended it to some people already

    An excellent podcast!
I have recommended this podcast to all of my friends and family. I love how well the bite sized episodes get at the heart of their subjects. Thank you.

    Delightful
Had the pleasure of hearing Dr. Fry speak on a webinar at work pre-pandemic and loved her spirit so much that I went on the hunt for more content. Love the dynamic between you both and how the questions are always interesting and explained well, even for those non-sciencey minds.

    Excellent and entertaining
One of the best and most entertaining podcasts ever.
  • markymix.com
AWESOME for anyone interested in curious cases, math, science, rollmat molerats, and giraffes.
I fell in love with Dr. Fry’s work with her Magic Numbers series on TV, and wanted to learn more from her. I found this podcast on her website and have been in love ever since! Dr. Rutherford is a spectacular counterpart for her brand of humor, and together they make each topic really fun and engaging to listen to.

One of the very best Science Podcasts ever!
Simply put, this is an outstanding podcast. Adam and Hannah have wonderful chemistry, they are funny, the topics are timely, and it is such a pleasure to listen to. I only wish they made more each season.

    Love this!
Super fun show—I enjoy listening to brainy nerds crack themselves up, plus countless benefits for trivia night or cocktail party banter.
  • Namennnn
    Love this show!!
I have loved this show for years now and was finally moved to leave a review in response to the complaint about the laughter. Really?!?! The chemistry between these two is the best and the Neanderthal voice experiment is probably the most amazing moment on any podcast ever. Love it! It’s the first thing thing I listen to when a new episode pops up.
  • WndyG
    Too much giggling
The subject matter is interesting but they often take a long time to get to it - interjected with too much giggling and joking sometimes makes this tedious. Just get to it!
  • Kyle Spahr
    Wisconsin Trucker
Combine Melvin Bragg’s scientific savvy and Robin Ince’s impetuous humor and you get this show. Laugh, cry and actually learn something about this amazing, beautiful world we all inhabit. I love it!

Who says science can’t be fun
I just binge listened to the show all through the social distancing and lockdown period and loved it. I actually hate maths and science but this is an interesting way to learn (through comedy). Love the show, keep it up. -Curio from Nepal

Rutherford and Fry are the fun science teachers I wish I’d had
Enthusiastic, clever, funny, engaging, and yet still down to earth. I love and learn so much from this fantastic podcast!

    Smashing!!
I love a good science podcast, this one is top notch, and fun! I really enjoy it!! I just discovered it a few moths ago and binging now. I hate the thought of running out of episodes.🥺 No breaks, Doctors. Keep pumping them out!!!
  • wrongodongo
    Quite good, these
Learn something. Have a laugh. Love the wit on display here.

    Fun and educational!
I just recently found this podcast, and I’m burning through the episodes! Drs Fry and Rutherford have great entertainment and comedic chemistry, and they have a way of sharing great scientific information in short snippets that manage to not ever get boring or bogged down in technical terms! I’m loving it!
  • Yax Pasaj
    Really fun, great entertainment
As a scientist, I can testify that the information is generally valid and reliable. But I listen because it’s such great fun. The hosts are charming and seem to have great chemistry. I wish they would do more math, but I’m sure there is belief that math is incomprehensible and unpopular. Except for all those avocational math geeks and the popularity of puzzles, such as those on Car Talk in the US. Please keep making more episodes for your many fans!

    Greatest podcast ever
As a middle schooler I walk to school and whenever I can I listen to an episode of this podcast and have even convinced some of my teachers to use some of the episodes in class. But I just think that this is an amazing podcast and I am proud to be a curio!
  • Qwertiop8
    Science *is* fun!!
OK, full disclosure--I am a scientist, so I already think science is fun--but this is a fantastic podcast--consistently interesting topics, explained in a way that my (non-scientist) mom could enjoy just as much as I do. The hosts, a geneticist and a mathematician clearly seem to love their time in the studio together, and it sounds like they're having such a jolly time that you wish you too were there in whatever corner of BBC 4 that they've been stuffed into. I rarely write podcast reviews, because I have to be motivated enough to leave my Overcast app and search out my never-used Apple Podcast app, but this one is worth it. I listen to a bunch of science podcasts, but this is the one I look forward to the most--also the only one for which I routinely laugh out loud while listening, earning me curious looks from my coworkers... Please BBC, never cancel this series!! And always keep the back episodes available!! This is one of the relatively few podcasts I would pay to listen to, if needed--but thanks to the munificence of the BBC I don't have to :)

    Inane ramblings
I look forward to Season 15, and will miss them till then. The series bring super technical and thought provoking subject to a level we understand, I also like the banter, bring it on.
  • brainzmatter
    Meh!
Much as I respect and admire both of these wonderful science educators, I don’t care much for this format. I like them both better in their own endeavors. Much of the time is taken up with frivolous banter—perhaps because the questions being addressed are not really that interesting.

    Both fun and interesting
I live this podcast and can’t get enough of it. Still working my through the back episodes and will be sad when I catch up and have to wait for new episodes to be released. If you like Infinite Monkey Cage, you’ll love this show too.

    Funny and informative
They have great chemistry and deliver typically great British wit and self-deprecating humour.
