Very informative podcast about negotiating for a big purchase! The strategies apply to cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, rvs, etc. Several tricks are laid out and the process is covered from the beginning to the end.

I loved the advise that this podcast gave. For the past 2 years i was paying over $500 per month for a Toyota Corolla. I felt like i was never going to get out of this never ending loan. With the advise and information i learned from the deal talk podcast, i was able to get out of this loan and started a new LEASE on a 2019 highlander. This was a great experience and i lowered my monthly payment and got more car. I highly recommend this podcast for ongoing learning and advice when buying or leasing a new vehicle.

I found out about this on Reddit in a RAV 4 community. I am currently trying to decide on a used car or a lease of a compact SUV within the next month or two. I am learning so much. He goes into so many topics that the layman purchaser knows very little about.

For anyone that has anxiety on buying a vehicle should listen to this podcast. This is very informative and most importantly tells you what you need to do in order to have confidence in your search. Even if you are not nervous about buying a vehicle you will want to listen because I guarantee you are missing something.

The important things to listen to is do your research, don’t be afraid to leave a bad deal and ask questions as well as put in the work to negotiate the deal you want. Listen to an episode a day for a month leading up to buying a car, and you will have the confidence you need to negotiate a good deal because you'll learn what information you need and the common tricks that matter.

I listen to these before I went and looked at a car. Thanks to the advice I was able to get the car I wanted at the price I never thought was possible. I highly recommend listening to this before going out to buy a car.

I listened to several episodes of DealTalk, I found them to be most useful in purchasing my new VW. The episode of buying vs leasing was very helpful, I never thought too much about leasing always felt it was a ripoff, but listening to DealTalk made me weigh my options. I ended up leasing my new VW. It was a very easy process, much easier than I thought. I did my homework before going to the dealer, I knew just what I wanted and how much I needed to spend. One DealTalk episode, was about car buying is about You not the salesperson. I went into the dealership knowing just what I wanted and needed. Overall, DealTalk is a very interesting podcast that is very valuable to anyone that is trying to buy a car new or used. Hello, I just wanted to thank you very much for your very informative podcast. It's 3 am right now and I haven't been able to go to sleep out of anger. I went to a dealership by my work today after having been emailing dealerships throughout the morning and afternoon. I was able to get a very low price on a new 2015 Prius. I was quoted OTD At 24902. That sounded like a great deal to me so I took it to a competitor to see if they could beat it. When I got there I sat down with them and heard them out to see what they would offer. Lo and behold it was over the OTD price of the original dealership. So I brought out the email that the other dealership has sent me and showed it to them. The representative said he would take it to his manager to see what they could work out. Well he came back later with a price that was $700 cheaper. I said great and let's get the paperwork started. I then notified him that I wanted to use my car as a trade-in. We negotiated for a while but we came to the agreement of 2500 for my truck. All this was taking place in the lounge area. But once we got to the financing managers office everything changed. They tried to throw me different numbers to confuse me. They try to switch out the OTD price that they had originally given me and raised the price of the car. Once I caught on to what was happening they tried to rectify the wrong. But when they structured the agreement again they were adding other costs to the car. I promptly smiled and shoocked their hands and said goodbye. I'm very grateful for your podcast and all the information you have provided thank you

Not just extremely valuable knowledge on how to get the best price when buying ANYTHING, the presenter is interesting, and enjoyable to listen to. 30+ years in the business gives the presenter unbelievable credentials as an “Expert”! I especially liked that although each podcast is full of great "inside information" on how to get the best deal possible, each podcast is only 30 minutes long. GREAT to listen to on the commute to work. You will save more $$$ with this knowledge than you will likely make at work this week (maybe this month)!
