I signed up for a sketch writing class at UCB and was looking for a podcast on the topic to hopefully learn a little bit more and keep myself motivated. The format was perfect for me. They interview a guest, then get to some actually practical stuff like generating ideas and pitching. My favorite segment is at the end where they read a sketch and then get notes on it from the guest.

There's so many fascinating things that go into writing a sketch, and this podcast does a great job covering it!

I don't personally have apirations for writing sketch comedy, but it's an entertaining, funny, and informational look behind the scenes. I dig it!

As a graduate from the UCB sketch program and busy freelance film/TV professional, I was wanting to reconnect with the sketch world while on hiatus and this podcast did the trick! I'm back to writing sketches on a regular basis and look forward to wrangling talented people soon to shoot some fun stuff. Thanks for the great interviews and relaxed format!

Really fun and informative!

I was so excited when I heard about this podcast. I'm obsessed with the process behind the product and love comedy so this was a perfect combo! The hosts are great and easy to listen to and their guests seem cool... the only problem and I can't believe I'm saying this... the comedy seems aimed at men. Not intentionally, but very often I don't get a joke or entire sketch because it's about sports or dick jokes? I kept listening cause I really like everything else but sadly the content hasn't changed much so I'm going to unsubscribe ... but recommend it to my brothers - ha.

I learned a lot about sketch while listening to this show, but there's a lot that can be applied to other mediums. It's a great podcast for writers and fans of writing.

A lot of good sketch talk from a variety of sources. Cool to get insight on different people's processes and to see how subjective the sketch writing/reading/viewing process can be.
