After my first listen - disco episode: context is kings. This is a really good podcast. Dan and Bill are great. I feel, in my personal opinion, Terilynn is just awful and terrible.

So I tried to listen to their reviews on Enterprise. Thought it would be cool cause both the host I think haven’t seen it all. But they seem to hate it so I can’t listen to them badmouth the show the whole time. Sorry.

Bill and Dan are the greatest! Both Discovering Trek and Trek Geeks are essential listening for devoted Star Trek fans! A thorough, heartfelt, and insightful analysis. The highlight of my week! Thanks so much guys!

The guys are great at breaking down the ins and outs of each episode. Do they give a lot of good credit? Absolutely. But they also aren’t afraid to give criticism of something they may not have liked. They also invite guest hosts who may not share their same opinion. It’s not just a show for “Superfan1701” types, but for anyone who has a cursory interest in Discovery.

I look forward to listening to this podcast after each episode of Discovery. It's nice to hear a podcast from long-time Star Trek fans who came into Discovery open-minded.

Bill and Dan are such a joy to listen to on both TrekGeeks and now Discovering Trek! Glad that you two added this to your line-up. You recap the episodes and discuss them in meaningful and thought-inducing ways. It's easy to not always see how the episodes relate to our current times, as Star Trek has always done, so I appreciate the segment where you attempt to do just that. Keep it up gentlmen!

Dan and Bill do a fantastic job of breaking down each episode to include the content that has been delivered by CBS and examining it in the world that we all live in. Yes, politics are included, yes, economics are included, and, yes, the world we live in is included. That's what Star Trek is all about! It takes the things that are in the world around us and shoves them in our faces! Dan and Bill break all of these things down and explain them in a way that is easy to digest. LLAP Dan and Bill!

I’ve listened to a half dozen episodes of this podcast and I definitely enjoy it. The insights are good, the episode summaries are thorough, my only real complaint is it feels a little too polished at times. They lay on the complements a little heavy such that it starts to feel like an EPK piece at times.

Great hosts! Very knowledgeable about Star Trek and thorough in their analysis of Discovery. It seems minor but it’s great that they correctly pronounce the character names, planets, etc. I really enjoy the guest hosts too. And I love their segments, especially Red Shirt Roll call and their perspective about what the episodes says about humanity. I look forward to this podcast every week!

It's part commercial for Fansets pins and part review podcast for Star Trek Discovery. It's got good production value. But if you want deep, critical review of DISCO, you won't get it. These guys are busy high fiving each other in one hand and pushing Fansets pins in the other hand. One guy gives a high level overview of each DISCO show. Another guy is overly sentimental and professorial about how Trek improves his life and affects his personality.

Bill and Dan already have a reputation for some great from-the-heart Trek discussion from their Trek Geeks podcast. Their Star Trek: Discovery companion continues the quality. Nice follow-up to each week’s episode, without a bunch of hype. This is like sitting down in your living room with old friends.

Loved the guys on Geek Trek but now all they seem to want to talk about is politics. I watch Star Trek to avoid that. I have unsubscribed.

Bill and Dan's passion and love for Star Trek and Discovery make every episode a joy to listen. The amount of effort that is taken to produce this high quality show sets the standard for other podcasts to follow. This isn't a Star Trek podcast; this is Star Trek!

Hosts are knowledgable about the Trek Universe. I had subscribed to check out their take on the new Star Trek program but ended up unsubscribing when one of the hosts had to interject his current political opinion. It's a Star Trek podcast. I don't want to hear your political views.

I'm glad that I came across this podcast because frankly the "official" one's host annoys the crap out of me! These guys are real, down to earth, and know their Trek but aren't obnoxious or annoying about it. I love the way they breakdown the episode and have varying views and opinions. It's fresh, fun and great for someone who doesn't have any friends who also watch Star Trek. I happily subscribed with the 00 episode and I look forward to listening throughout the run of the first season. Definitely worth the time and the content and discussion are top-notch! Keep it up guys! CBS should hire you!

A very balanced discussion that goes into heavy ideological territory without trying to satisfy an agenda!! The guys all have their own political opinions, and this being Star Trek, that's clearly relevant. But unlike other discussions, all the guys reference their opinions only as it pertains to larger ideological issues. It's a really nice balance and doesn't monopolize the show! As for Trek talk - these guys are great! They noticed details I missed, and REALLY enjoy talking about Trek in a light way too. Lastly, the pacing of the episode is really tight - and I love it!! It's make a point and move on, not people talking over each other or arguing like some other podcasts.

I'm a happy Trek fan and thrilled more to find this podcast. Will be following along and enjoying their insight into the series. Keep it up!

Just as I have been accustomed to with the Trek Geeks there are great insights into Discovery in this podcast. There is always at least one thing I had never thought of that really brings Trek to another level for me. Great job Bill and Dan!
